Chapter 222: Technology Explosion
🕑 Added 2020-03-22 13:07:25 +0000 UTCTwenty-three more people died in the next minute, of which eleven were killed by the kaiju's laser beams
The others died due to the gun's overheating and explosion.
Fang Yun, who was watching this scene from a distance, suddenly felt an electromagnetic wave coming from the giant plane again.
After that, the remaining soldiers quickly ran towards the plane.
Fang Yun was surprised at the speed at which they were running. It has to be at least 60 km/h.
This speed is already surprising enough, but this shouldn't be their limit. They are constantly dodging the collapsed buildings and other ruins while running. Furthermore, they are holding heavy equipment that are hundreds of kilograms while running.
While observing those people, Fang Yun noticed a rotten wound on the face of a soldier. That soldier's cheeks were also twitching.
It looks very strange.
"Where did this wound come from?"
Fang Yun was very puzzled. No laser beam has ever reached him, why is there a wound on his face. Furthermore, it's rotten.
"Boom!!"
Suddenly, the giant plane started to fire cannonballs. The giant gun on the plane started turning, then launched fired a total of twelve shells.
After launching those shells, the gun shrank back into the cabin. Then immediately after that, a second gun came out of the hatch and launched another 12 shells.
Fang Yun found that the energy waves generated by these shells after exploding is very similar to those produced by the explosion of the previous bullets. Both of them produce very high heat after exploding.
Thinking about it, he concluded that stuff inside should be composed of the same substance.
This is indeed the case.
Regardless of whether it's those bullets or shells, they are filled with a substance extracted from the blood of the kaiju, allowing them to explode upon contact with the target.
During the explosion, the substance reacts with air, producing extremely high temperatures. It's very similar to the kaiju's laser beam.
Of course, the effect is much worse.
In recent years, the world has changed drastically, and various disasters have emerged one after the other. Although all these disasters have caused humankind to suffer a lot. It also caused them to usher in a large technology boom.
There are a variety of alien species available for scientists to study at will. They are also under tremendous pressure, squeezing their potential and forcing them to innovate.
The emergence of ancient and mutant creatures 7 or 8 years ago can be considered a buffer. It also bought them a lot of benefits.
One of them is the flesh of mutant creatures. It has the effect of increasing both physical strength and intelligence.
The strongest human in the present age has the power of several tons in each arm, able to casually overturn cars. That's already a small superman.
Unfortunately in this era where a small ancient creature can overturn cars, a mutant creature is able to casually destroy big ships and buildings, and the strongest kaiju is able to destroy cities, that physical strength doesn't have much effect.
The intelligence increasing effect of the flesh is also very significant. People that have eaten a lot of mutant creatures flesh even have a near-photographic memory and super understanding.
This is clearly reflected in the scientists who were able to steadily research countless new technologies.
Of course, the effect of the mutant creature's meat is not immediate. Only after eating a large amount of meat in a continuous manner over a long period of time can a significant effect be detected.
Due to the very expensive price of mutant creatures meat, this can only be afforded by the governement and very wealthy people.
After the emergence of countless geniuses, many theories have been proposed, and many new technologies have been created.
Moreover, the emergence of mutant creatures has benefited many graduate students or senior students such as doctoral students. They can finally understand the various teaching materials that even university professors couldn't understand.
In recent years, 'Panda country' has been crazily developing its military forces. In fact, it wasn't just them. The 'bald eagles', 'Polar bears', etc., have used more than 70 percent of their yearly GDP to develop new weapons.
After all, when ancient and mutant creatures first appeared on this planet, many people speculated that they might deal with aliens in the future.
The first thing they focused on developing is obviously weapons. Mostly rocket launchers, missiles and the like.
One of their most important projects is developing a weapon with the destructive power of nuclear weapons but without the corresponding pollution.
The second thing they focused on developing is aircraft, especially their weak links such as engines.
If they are going to fight with aliens, then an ultra-high-speed aircraft is necessary. Especially a one that can conduct battles outside the earth's atmosphere. This is their ultimate goal.
However, to arrive at that goal, they need to start from something and that is to improve their engines.
The working characteristics of jet engines are high temperature, high pressure, high speed, and high load, which places high requirements on the material of turbine blades.
Everyone understands this, but suitable materials are very hard to find.
At first, the 'Panda country' and 'Bald Eagle' country were thinking about finding a new breakthrough point from the king-level kaiju.
After a lot of trouble, the 'Bald Eagle' finally got some scales from the super Mosasaurus. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
Similarly, the 'Panda country' has also attacked the mutant Elasmosaurus. Although they weren't able to kill it, they still got some of its scales. The conclusion they got is the same as that of the 'Bald Eagle's.
However, after the appearance of the kaiju, they found a special metal on it.
When these metals are fused with some of the earth's metals, they will become very strong and durable, also exhibiting very high resistance to high temperatures.
At the same time, Kaiju blood is also a good energy source, which can be used to replace aircraft fuel. The flame created by this energy is stronger, resulting in more air passing through the combustion chamber of the engine, forming a larger driving force.
This is how 'Panda country' was able to create that giant plane. They already have the technology, it was just the materials holding them back.
Such a large aircraft has been secretly tested before, but the special energy firearms and shells have only recently been developed.
The shells are easier to make. Because of their larger size, their stability is better, but the bullets aren't the same. Their internal structure is more refined and smaller, making it much harder to make them.
However, energy firearms are something that must be developed. If guerrilla warfare and other situations arise, these weapons will be necessary.
There is one more point, which is the most important one.
This new weapon produces a kind of radiation, which is very harmful to the human body, whether it's the bullets or the shells. Upon release, they will produce very harmful radiation.
Fortunately, they got some flesh from the giant serpent. After long research, they produced a very precious capsule. This capsule can give humans a part of the giant serpent regeneration abilities after ingestion.
Of course, it's just a part. Far from being comparable to the regenerative abilities of the giant serpent. Even so, Serious injuries that require years to heal now heal a few days.
Unfortunately, even with such regenerative abilities, the soldiers that are using these new types of weapons will die in five years at most, that's just how harmful that radiation is.
When manufacturing these weapons, workers need to wear special work clothes, otherwise, they will die in less than a month.
However, both the soldiers and the leaders firmly believe that in the near future, this difficulty will be overcome,
Whether it's changing the material that the bullets are made from or looking for another solution, they firmly believe that they will overcome this difficulty.
Originally, the 'Panda country' soldiers were planning to conduct practical exercises after thoroughly studying this technology.
Unfortunately, the 'Bald Eagle' successful control of the kaiju has put a lot of pressure on the Panda country's top management, so they decided to conduct practical training to accumulate relevant experience, then improve the corresponding technology.
A total of three rounds of artillery shells were fired from the plane. Eventually, the three kaiju were bombarded to death, falling into the ground with blue blood flowing from their wounds.
On the big plane, the relevant person was planning to dispatch someone to bring the blue of the kaiju back.
Now, kaiju's blood is a very precious commodity throughout the world
However, just as they were about to issue the order, a huge creature suddenly ran towards the three kaiju bodies.
Comments
Lol, those humans have used his flesh to create a super regeneration capsule, so giving him those kaiju's body doesn't seem that bad?
I Dewa Bagus
Hahaha oh come on give at least one the body for the human lol
