Chapter 186: Mysterious Accident
🕑 Added 2020-02-08 22:40:17 +0000 UTCThe 'Brown Bear' country is intending to treat the giant turtle as a mile cow. Although the turtle has bought a lot of benefits for them and they really love it.
However, there is no way, the special substance it can produce is too valuable.
They began to examine the body of the giant turtle to find which organ produces that special substance.
When examining the giant turtle, it's necessary to cut parts of its internal organs. Although it was given an anesthetic shot. The giant turtle still felt a hell-like of pain.
The painful howls kept coming from its mouth, but even then it didn't attack those scientists. It's really a gentle creature.
Not that struggling would have had any effect. They have prepared a lot of measures to restrain the turtle.
In the end, scientists concluded that the special substance came from the stomach of the giant turtle. One gram of that special substance can produce one kilo of the "Life Elixir".
As a result, the "Life Elixir" can finally be put into production.
After getting such great news from the 'Brown Bear' country, the world was thrown into a jubilant mood one again. Tasting the sweetness, people looked forward more to what kind of discovery the 'Bald Eagle' country is going to get from the mutant Elasmosaurus.
In fact, the 'Bald Eagle' government also wanted to give some good news to the people, but what they discovered on the mutant Elasmosaurus has made them frustrated. In their view, the mutant Elasmosaurus secret is far from comparable to that of the giant turtle.
"From the current findings, the mysterious substance secreted by the mutant Elasmosaurus can keep people awake for a long time."
The experts responsible for studying the mutant Elasmosaurus reported to the government personnel in related fields.
"The side effects are unclear for the time being and further research is needed."
How valuable is something that keeps people awake for a long time? Anyway, it's not nearly as valuable as a substance that increases lifespan and makes people look young again.
As such, the 'Bald Eagles' were too ashamed to announce their discovery.
When the eyes of the entire world were focused on the giant turtles and the mutant Elasmosaurus, a little-known but important event happened in the Grass sea.
To understand this event thoroughly, we have to go back 2 months ago.
"Professor, don't worry, we are fully prepared this time, nothing will happen."
In the office, Hook looked at the worried Tang Xue, smiled and comforted him.
Tang Xue sat on the sofa, looking at his proud student, he nodded and said.
"Anyway, you have to be careful."
Despite saying this, a worried look remained on his face.
"Ok."
Hook nodded heavily, then stood up and said to Tang Xue.
"Professor, I'll go first."
"Okay, come back safely."
Tang Xue also stood up, he gave Hook a hug, then patted his shoulders and said to him.
"Well, go, they are waiting for you below."
Hook glanced deeply at Tang Xue then left the office resolutely.
Watching Hook's back disappear behind the door, an exhausted look appeared on Tang Xue's face, he looked ten years older.
Since the emergence of mutant creatures, research on them has never stopped.
According to research, the Grass sea is likely to be the birthplace of ancient and mutant creatures. Not only does it have the largest number of mutant and ancient creatures, the farther away from it the less mutant creatures are there.
After this was confirmed, several large countries organized a scientist team to investigate that place.
Hook is one of them.
Their team was quite prepared. Three warships escorted them on the way, and a military submarine was exploring the situation under them.
...
Tang Xue was sitting in his office, his face was difficult to look at. Since Hook followed the large team to go to the Grass Sea for an inspection, it has been two months.
At the beginning, it was okay, he often sent news back, but just five days ago, bad news came.
They lost connection with Hook and the rest of the team.
Not only that, even the submarine and warships also can't be contacted. Even using satellites, they couldn't find them, as if they had disappeared from the earth's surface.
Obviously, the team should have encountered a mishap.
In such a situation, it's almost impossible to survive.
Thinking of this, Tang Xue looked very sad, his eyes were a bit wet. He took a deep breath before leaning back on the sofa.
He regretted it. If he knew that such a thing would happen, he would have tried his best to stop Hook from going.
However, he also understands that for people like them who are like doing research. They are very interested in the mutant creatures and their origin.
If he was ten years younger, he would certainly not miss such an opportunity.
Thinking of this, he let out a long sigh.
Closing his eyes slightly, he prayed for Hook.
"Knock, Knock."
Suddenly, knocking sounded from outside the door.
Tang Xue opened his eyes, straightened himself and said.
"Come in."
A young man holding a folder pushed into the door and looked at Tang Xue on the sofa with an excited look. He quickly said.
"Professor, there are news about brother Hook."
"what?"
Tang Xue violently stood up from the sofa and said.
"Xiao Zhang, what did you just say, there is news about Xiao Hu?"
"Yes."
Xiao Zhang nodded. He walked next to Tang Xue and said.
"Yesterday, a fisherman found the remains of the scientific ship, brother Hook was also found. Although a bit injured, he is still alive"
"Brother Hook has been escorted back to China and is now being treated in a city hospital."
"According to the current situation, Brother Hook and the rest of the team are likely to encounter some kind of fierce creature that sunk them;"
"Let's go to a hospital, right away!"
Tang Xue said eagerly and hurriedly walked out of the door. The young man called Xiao Zhang followed closely behind him.
"Phew……"
While walking, Tang Xue let out a sigh of relief. As he though, Hook has indeed encountered some sort of accident and he was injured.
"Xiao Zhang, quickly drive there!"
Tang Xue walked out of the office building, then got into a black Audi car. Xiao Zhang, who was behind him, took the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat and started the car.
The Audi drove away quickly. Tang Xue was deeply in thought, frowning. He was worried about the safety of his disciple on one hand and was wondering about what could have caused the accident on the other hand.
While he was deep in his thoughts, the car quickly reached the destination, stopping in front of a large hospital.
