Chapter 204: Bombing the Space Channel
🕑 Added 2020-03-01 12:02:48 +0000 UTCOn this day, San Francisco city of the 'Bald Eagle' was attacked by an extremely powerful kaiju called "Destroyer". That kaiju was so powerful that it almost destroyed the entire city.
Conventional weapons can't kill it at all. Even more frightening is that although it was injured by the powerful missiles, its flesh and blood immediately dissolved into white smoke after falling into the ground.
That thick white smoke contains Ammonia and many other dangerous substances.
Once people inhaled that white smoke. They suffered from respiratory failure in just a short time, some people had ammonia poisoning, burns of the respiratory tract mucosa, and even lung swelling.
In the end, that Kaiju was killed by the 'Bald Eagle' using a nuclear bomb, causing San Francisco and the surrounding area to became a restricted area.
The appearance of that kaiju has shocked the entire world.
That kaiju was far beyond any kaiju that appeared before. Just in terms of size, it was over 200 meters in height, its defense was also extremely exaggerated, it has been attacked by dozens of missiles, but it wasn't even seriously injured.
Its healing ability is also extremely shocking, as it was able to regenerate a wound with a diameter of more than a meter in less than 10 minutes.
The combination of that super defense and super regeneration made it almost unkillable.
In addition, it can release an extremely destructive energy beam, far stronger than the previous Kaiju. It can also emit electromagnetic pulses, which can short-circuit electronic equipment within a radius of five kilometers.
Overall, that kaiju is more difficult to deal with than 5 ordinary kaiju combined.
To distinguish it from the ordinary kaiju, it was called a mega kaiju.
Something must be done.
This is the current consensus reached by the major powers. This mega kaiju is too difficult to deal with. Basically, only nuclear bombs can kill them.
However, using nuclear bombs means the destruction of a city.
Moreover, even if they kill the mega kaiju with a nuclear bomb. It would still leave that toxic white smoke in the place of explosion. That plus the radiation made it an absolutely forbidden area of life.
Finally, on a certain day. The major powers decided to bomb that space channel using a nuclear bomb, with the hope of permanently closing it.
A special submarine carrying the nuclear bomb fell right in the middle of the "pyramid" group, then started an automatic explosion procedure.
"BOOM!!!"
A muffled explosion sound rang from the bottom of the ocean. This big explosion triggered an eighth magnitude earthquake. A gigantic 100-meters tsunami raged from there, spreading at an alarming speed.
It's truly difficult to describe that scene.
A shocking scene out from a doomsday movie.
In fact, just that nuclear bomb is far from being able to create such a doomsday scene. This is due to the nuclear bomb releasing its energy in the space channel.
In space, the satellites transmitted the doomsday like scene back to the high-level people of the major countries. Everyone was holding their breath while watching that scene.
What will happen next?
Energy continued seeping from underwater for the next few days, creating gigantic waves. It was only three days later that things calmed down.
Satellites are always monitoring that area. In addition, the naval forces of the major powers are always alert, ready to respond to any situation.
In the next week, things have been calm and no abnormalities were found, causing the major countries' heads to let out a sigh of relief.
Even more exhilarating is that no kaiju have appeared this week.
In the past, new kaiju usually appear every 2 days, so the fact that they haven't appeared in a week is a good sign.
Could it be that their strategy worked?
The media in some countries have already begun to celebrate. Most of their headlines were things like "Humans have pulled the curtain on the monster era."
A few days later, several major powers decided to send personnel to investigate that area again.
The first thing they dispatched were helicopters.
Three helicopters moved forward in an arrow shape.
They quickly entered the area near the space channel.
Before entering that area, the crew members on the helicopter were still talking with the commander in the warship. However, once they entered that area, the people in the command room of the warship couldn't receive their signals anymore.
What the hell happened there? wasn't the space channel blown up by them?
Why did the three helicopters disappear? were they attacked by a kaiju?
The crazy 'Polar Bears' suggested dropping another nuclear bomb in that location.
However, this proposal was immediately refused. Most of the major power agreed that they need to know what happened there first.
In the next few days, the entire world was shrouded in an unusually depressing atmosphere. Everyone was worried that another disaster will strike the world again.
However, after a month, everyone discovered that they didn't suffer the mad from the disaster they imagined.
During this time, some kaiju attacked human cities, but their number was too small and they were discovered beforehand, so they didn't cause that much of a problem.
"Maybe after blowing that place with a nuclear bomb, it further strengthened the magnetic field, making it impossible to use technology products there."
This theory has received a lot of approval. The disappearance of the three helicopters is likely due to the magnetic field there, causing them to crash.
Even satellites didn't find anything unusual in that place, only the endless blue sea.
However, the heads of the major powers didn't know that there was actually a huge change in that place.
This change was first discovered by a passenger plane.
It was a passenger plane from South Africa to Australia. It flew at a height of 10,000 meters and passed by the grass sea.
At the beginning, things were going as usual. The passenger plane was operating normally. but after passing through the grass sea, certain anomalies occurred.
According to the distance they crossed, they should have arrived in the Australien continent a while ago, but there is nothing more than the endless sea in front of them.
"Minilla, this is Australia Flight A15, please confirm our location."
Once the captain discovered this anomaly, he immediately contacted the command center.
"Flight A15, this is the Minilla Command Tower. Your current position is xxxx. Finish."
After hearing the message from the command tower, the captain could not help cursing,
"What the hell! are we still in the grass sea?"
He stared at his dashboard, it shows that they are moving forward. They should have left the grass sea long ago.
