Chapter 201: Rescuing the Giant Turtle
🕑 Added 2020-02-26 12:37:44 +0000 UTCFang Yun swam towards the source of that annoying noise, discovering human traces along the way.
"What is that?"
He looked ahead with a surprised look. There is an "Island" ahead, surrounded by two warships with many people on them.
They installed a machine on this "island". It looks like they are mining something.
"No, it's not an island."
Fang Yun examined it for a while, discovering that this "Island" is emitting electromagnetic radiation belonging to living beings. From this, he concluded that this entire "Island" is a living creature.
"Is it a mutant at the level of that giant octopus and that Mosasaurus?"
Fang Yun immediately thought of the giant octopus and the giant Mosasaurus. Although they aren't a kaiju, they are still creatures at the top of mutants, each with an incredibly huge body and powerful strength.
After examining the shape of this creature, he concluded from its oval shape that it's a turtle.
Fang Yun's guess is on point. This is the "king" of the Arctic Ocean, the giant turtle. After being caught by the government of the 'Polar Bear' country, it was injected with anesthetic drugs every day.
Around its body, there are four huge steel pillars, with a wire rope on top to fix the giant turtle.
Every day, the people of the 'Polar Bear' country will farm the special substance required to synthesize the "Life Elixir" from the turtle, causing it unimaginable pain every day.
That kind of pain can't be endured even by the giant turtle, causing it to howl in pain. The high-frequency sound waves carried in the sound can travel over a long distance.
That was the annoying sound that Fang Yun heard.
Fang Yun stared at this huge sea monster for a long time, roughly figuring out the behavior of those people on the turtle's back. He guessed that there must be something precious in the body of this giant turtle, very useful to humans.
"I wonder if there is anything in my body that is useful to humans?"
Thinking of this, he quickly shook his head and threw these messy thoughts out of his head. Even if there was nothing special in his body, just his large size is enough to gather human interest for research.
What's more. He can absorb solar energy, convert it to electricity, then release it to attack other creatures.
After watching the tragedy ahead for a while, he decided to leave. Although Fang Yun is quite sympathetic to the giant turtle suffering, but he isn't planning to help it.
A lot of creatures are suffering every day, he can't help every single one. The people over there also didn't offend him, so he doesn't have any reason to attack them.
The giant turtle also has a very thick shell, its defense is presumably pretty high. It's also quite huge, so he can't eat it after all. He doesn't have any reason to help it at all.
Just when he was about to leave, he suddenly stopped. He discovered an interesting thing.
There are many mutant and ancient creatures around the giant turtle.
"These mutant and ancient creatures seem to be attracted to something."
Fang Yun laid his sight back on the turtle again. These mutant and ancient creatures are most probably attracted to it.
"It's like some kind of bait, attracting these creatures."
An image suddenly appeared in Fan Yun's mind. A huge turtle was leisurely swimming in the sea, behind it is a large number of ancient and mutant creatures.
"As long as I keep this turtle next to me, I won't have to search for prey anymore."
Although the number of creatures in the ocean has increased tremendously, he still needs to search for them. Sometimes going as far as searching for half a day before finding a fish school.
Fang Yun was a little tempted. He was hesitant to rescue the giant turtle. With it, he will be able to save a lot of time, evolving in the shortest time possible.
After thinking about it, he began to examine the humans next to the turtle, their weapons and manpower.
There aren't many people there. The two warships can be regarded as the strongest combat power. In addition, there are more than a dozen soldiers holding submachine guns, patrolling on the shell of the giant turtle.
However, while he was swimming around, looking for any other possible weapon nearby, the two warships detect him. One of them didn't hesitate to attack him with a torpedo.
The torpedo moving underwater made a lot of noise, it also emitted a special electromagnetic wave that Fang Yun is very familiar with.
He didn't hesitate to run to the ocean floor.
He also activated "Shadow Wind", raising his speed to an exaggerated level. The torpedo could not catch up with him at all. In the end, it lost him and fell into the ocean floor.
This situation shocked the people of the 'Polar Bear' country. They have neither seen nor heard about Fang Yun's ability before.
After all, the 'Bald Eagle' government who knows about this certainly won't share this secret with them.
After Fang Yun escaped the torpedo, he swam back to the place where the two 'Polar Bear' warships were located. He came directly under one of the warships, then quickly moved up.
Without giving the people on the warship the time to react, he immediately used "Overclocking Resonance."
Although he still can't destroy objects by analyzing the resonance of an object then creating an opposite Resonance yet. This skill is still level 1 after all. However, the over-frequency sound waves caused the people on the warship to almost collapse.
All of them fell to the ground, screaming in pain, covering their ears.
He used this method to similarly knock out the people on the other warship.
This time, he swam towards the giant turtle without any worries. His speed was very fast, reaching it in less than a minute.
Once he arrived there and showed up, the people on the back of the turtle started screaming.
The soldiers there attacked Fang Yun with their submachine guns, but these kinds of bullets can't even leave a scratch on Fang Yun's scales.
Not long after, due to their mad shooting, they didn't have any bullets left.
"What is it doing?"
At first, the people on the back of the giant turtle thought that the giant serpent wants to eat them. However, a few minutes later, they discovered that the giant serpent wasn't interested in them at all.
The giant serpent was, in fact, breaking the steel wires that were holding the turtle back!
The 'Polar Bear' people on the giant turtle's back were puzzled at first, but it wasn't long before they guessed what the giant serpent was trying to do. It's trying to rescue the giant turtle!
"What is its motivation?"
At this time, no one cares about this issue. The important thing right now is how to stop the giant serpent. This giant turtle is their national treasure, they can't stand the thought of losing it.
It's a pity that the two warships can't do anything now. It will take some time for the people on them to recover, so they could only watch as the giant serpent destroyed the steel cables and giant pillars.
"Bang!"
The last iron cable broke and Fang Yun swam next to the giant turtle. He was examining it to see if this turtle could swim by itself, if it can't he can only help it.
