Chapter 198: Pitiful Kaiju
🕑 Added 2020-02-23 14:52:21 +0000 UTCAlong with a loud rumbling sound, three dark shadows flew towards this side from the distant night sky, a little light flashing on them.
A few moments later, three military helicopters appeared in Fang Yun's vision.
"They look a bit futuristic."
Fang Yun commented. These three helicopters look very advanced, even if he isn't a military fan, he still thought that these three helicopters are very pleasing to the eye.
"Let them test the power of this kaiju."
This is Fang Yun's plan. He didn't attack this Godzilla-like kaiju for the first time. It would be better for those helicopters to attack it first. He wants to know the opponent's strength first before taking action.
In his previous world, the Kaiju invasion was a movie where monsters invaded the world. The important fact is that they have ranks, the higher the rank, the stronger the strength.
Although Fang Yun was able to kill the kaiju in Hualien city, it doesn't mean that he will be able to kill every kaiju. According to his inference, that kaiju was likely just a weak one, but he still struggled to kill it, suffering injuries in the process.
The sound of the helicopter in the sky caught the attention of the kaiju. It raised its dinosaur-like head and looked at the helicopter above. The kaiju was captivated by the helicopter, completely forgetting the escaping fishermen.
The three helicopters hovered about 30 meters above the head of the kaiju, observing the monster that should only exist in fiction.
The pilots of the three helicopters looked at the kaiju below with a look of astonishment.
This creature is different from the Five monster Kings. Everyone knows the monster king's prototype.
The Kraken prototype is an octopus, the giant turtle prototype is a turtle, the mutant Elasmosaurus prototype is an Elasmosaurus, the super Mosasaurus prototype is a Mosasaurus and the prototype of the Giant Serpent is a python.
This monster has never appeared on the blue planet before though, apart from fiction.
Instead of attacking this monster rashly, they followed the leader order, and just tried to attract its attention.
However, the Kaiju didn't follow their plan. It directly attacked them.
The three helicopters hovered above the kaiju. They thought that such a huge monster won't be able to jump in the sea, so it can't attack them.
What they didn't expect though, is that this Kaiju doesn't need to jump to attack them.
Fang Yun watched the next scene with mouth wide open. The Godzilla-like kaiju suddenly opened its mouth and spit a blue light beam towards the three helicopters.
"What the fuck is that? Energy beam? Atomic breath?"
The blue beam ejected from the mouth of Kaiju hit a helicopter hovering in the sky. After one second, that helicopter suddenly exploded.
Wreckage encased in fire fell to the water surface, creating a large splash. The two other helicopters quickly moved away after seeing this, then started attacking the kaiju.
"Da! da! da!"
The bullets fired from the machine gun collided with the flesh of the Kaiju, but apart from tickling it, it didn't have any effect. In fact, the fishermen who were running away were the ones affected.
The Godzilla-like kaiju opened its mouth again, spraying another laser beam at one of the helicopters.
A moment later, another wreckage fell into the sea.
The last helicopter immediately fled to the distance, keeping a distance of more than 400 meters away from the kaiju. The pilot was slightly shaking, too afraid to get any closer.
"This kaiju is much stronger than the one I fought before."
The previous Kaiju was only able to spit out acid, and although that Acid was quite strong, able to corrode his scales, he was still able to resist it. However, this laser beam...
Fang Yun isn't sure that his scales would be able to completely defend against it. Worst case scenario, it may open a hole in his body.
"I wonder if it can release that laser beam underwater."
Fang Yun pondered for a moment.
"Can it release that laser beam infinitely or there are limits? There should be limits, infinity is impossible."
The energy that this kaiju has should be limited. Even if it's alien life, it should still follow the basic laws of the universe.
If not, then it's not as simple as an alien or monster, that's already a divine being.
More helicopters flew over from the distance. Fang Yun sank a little deeper underwater to avoid being seen.
He used echolocation to detect what's happening above.
Three more helicopters joined the helicopter that fled from the kaiju. Fang Yun also noticed a few warships coming from afar.
"Can this Kaiju resist missiles?"
Just as he thought about this, one of the three new helicopters suddenly launched a homing missile at the kaiju.
Although the missiles carried by the helicopters aren't the most powerful, they are certainly not weak.
Fang Yun watched as two missiles landed on the body of the kaiju, after which a loud explosion sounded.
"Woo!!!!"
The kaiju roared out loudly. Its roar also has a great effect on the pilots of the helicopters.
One pilot felt so uncomfortable that he pulled down the joystick subconsciously, causing the helicopter to lean to the sea. Before he could pull it up, the helicopter landed in the sea, creating a loud splash.
The other helicopters danced in the air for a while before the pilots managed to get hold of themselves and stabilize the helicopters.
"Is this an ability universal to all kaiju?"
The kaiju he hunted in 'Hualien city' has the same ability. It should be some sort of sonic attack that can affect the mind of people, a bit similar to his Overclocking Resonance.
The situation of the Godzilla kaiju was also very miserable. A huge wound was formed on its belly, and a large amount of blue blood was spilled on the sea.
"This kaiju also doesn't have the characteristic of the ones in the Space Chanel. Its blood isn't corrosive."
Fang Yun flicked his tongue in the water. He didn't feel anything different.
Suddenly, the Godzilla-like kaiju quickly sand underwater. It seems to be scared by the attack of the helicopters.
"Is it trying to hide?"
Fang Yun paid close attention to the movement of Kaiju. Now that it's injured, it's a good opportunity to hunt it.
According to the system's prompt, this Kaiju can provide him with 450,000 bio-energy points.
Just as he was preparing to act, he quickly halted. He sensed the fluctuations in the water ahead. His instincts are also warning him of the danger ahead.
"Is that ... a torpedo, two torpedos?"
Fang Yun is quite familiar with the sound of the torpedo rushing in the water. He was attacked by this thing before, but he was able to escape relying on "Shadow Wind".
"Boom!"
A loud explosion sounded underwater. The torpedo exploded right in front of the Kaiju's chest.
The power of this weapon is much stronger than the helicopter's ship-borne missiles. The large hole in the middle of the kaiju's chest widened even further, exposing the bones and internal organs inside.
Endless blue blood spewed out.
"Bingo!"
On a warship, when the torpedo hit the Kaiju, the people in the command center became jubilant.
"All that is left now is to drag that monster away."
The three warships aggressively headed towards the Kaiju. They closely watched the situation of Godzilla-like Kaiju on the display screen and discovered that the later was slowly sinking underwater.
However, they are not worried about this. This place is not far from the port so it's not that deep. There is also a submarine behind them. It's the one responsible for dragging the monster's body away.
They are getting closer and closer to the body of Godzilla-like kaiju, their faces were filled with excitement. The fact that this kaiju is able to release laser beams is exhilarating.
After getting the body of this monster, they might be able to develop laser weapons in the short future.
However, right at this moment, the face of the people in the warships changed dramatically.

I kind of feel sorry for them...
