Chapter 171: The Serpent Appears
🕑 Added 2020-01-24 14:30:20 +0000 UTCZhao Nan controlled the helicopter to hover above the warship. She looked from time to time outside the window, looking at the giant creature in the sea.
Under her sight, the sea monster fully showed his image.
This monster is only about 2 meters below the sea surface. Its red body is extremely huge, according to the computer's calculations, just its head alone has a diameter of almost 35 meters, and each of its tentacles is over 100 meters.
The octopus is currently swimming forward, its target is Donggang city port.
"This beast, I want to blast it to pieces!"
Zhao Nan looked at the Kraken below and scolded resentfully. Half a month ago, this monster has led a lot of ancient monsters to attack Donggang city port, causing a lot of casualties.
Her words sounded on the team channel. immediately after that, a voice sounded from the headset.
"Zhao Nan, you need to stay calm and rational. Our goal is to drive this monster away, not to kill it."
If killing this octopus was so easy, it would have died long ago.
This octopus is particularly cautious. Not only that, it seems to have a danger prediction ability, o a sixth sense. They tried to kill it using a lot of methods in the past, including conventional missiles.
However, it was able to escape every time.
Even more outrageous is that every time it gets injured, it will become stronger. In fact, this seems to be a future of every mutant creature (TL: Zenkai boost?!)
All of this forced them to only drive it away. They don't dare to injure it anymore.
According to their discovery, this monster is extremely sensitive to sound waves in the 22000-35000hz frequency. Within this range, the higher the frequency, the greater its reaction.
Using high-frequency sounds, they drove it away several times before.
"Xiao Yu, activate the sonic transmitter and adjust to the corresponding frequency;"
Zhao Nan took a deep breath, then said to the co-pilot next to her.
"Get ready guys. We'll have to quickly expel this monster, then get the city port back to normal order."
Although it's not the first time they drove the Kraken away, each time it appeared, they have close the city port along with the nearby streets to avoid accidents. For example the ancient monsters the Kraken gathered half a month ago.
"Understood, sister Nan"
The youth next to her responded with a relaxed look on his face, just as he was about to start, Zhao Nan suddenly stopped him.
"Wait!"
"What's wrong, sister Nan?"
The young man stopped his action and looked back at Zhao Nan with a look of doubt.
Zhao Nan wasn't paying attention to him though, she was looking out of the window.
The young man followed her sight and also looked out of the window. After seeing what she was looking at, his eyes widened.
"This..."
He saw that below them, not far behind the Kraken, a huge black shadow suddenly appeared, then quickly swam towards the Kraken.
Looking at its posture, is it going to attack the Kraken?
Xiao Yu's mouth twitched, he felt that this is absurd.
The octopus below them is one of the four sea kings. The strongest sea monster in the pacific. It's one of the strongest mutants in the whole world.
Isn't attacking such a creature suicide?
The people in the underground shelter were also stunned after seeing such a scene. They also think that the creature attacking the Kraken is looking for death.
Since the emergence of the mutant creatures, the humans in the world didn't just passively defend. They created an instrument that is able to scale the energy of mutant creatures.
Of course, this instrument only works for mutants creatures since only they can emit this special energy.
It's called energy units, which can be translated into the strength and ability of mutants.
Mutant creatures can also sense the energy units of other mutants. So most of them immediately flee in front of a creature that has a much higher energy unit than them.
The Kraken has one of the highest energy in the whole world. So that mysterious creature should have fled immediately after seeing the Kraken.
"What kind of creature is this?"
Zhao Nan stopped the helicopter, letting it hover mid-air. She stared intensely at the shadow that was quickly approaching the Kraken.
With her sight, she was able to distinguish some black scales, plus the fact that that shadow is quite long, a creature appeared in her mind.
"That is...Snake? Python? it is..."
Zhao Nan was quite surprised. This kind of ancient creature is quite rare. Without mentioning the fact that with that size, it's undoubtedly a mutant.
"It's very similar to the Giant Sea Serpent that appeared in the grass sea a year ago!"
The people in the underground shelter were also watching the situation outside, seeing the long shadow behind the Kraken one of them loudly shouted.
In the crowd, Xiao Lan's eyes shined after hearing that shout. She was also on the beach when the Giant Sea Serpent appeared, so she saw it.
The Giant Sea Serpent hasn't appeared in more than a year so most people thought that it was dead, coupled with the appearance of a large number of ancient and mutant creatures, most people forgot about it.
Another reason why no one is talking about the Giant Sea Serpent anymore is that it's only 30 meters long. Although that size was shocking at the time, now there are countless bigger creatures, so it's not that impressive anymore, even mediocre.
"No, that snake is a lot bigger than the Giant Sea Serpent."
Xiao Lan stared at the screen. Although she didn't directly look at that snake monster, but just from the screen, she can judge that it's much bigger than the Giant Sea Serpent she saw in the grass sea.
"It's probably not the Giant Sea Serpent"
While thinking of that, she still stared intensely at the screen.
Under the sight of the crowd, the snake monster quickly approached the Kraken then bit on one of its tentacles.
Felling the sudden pain, the Kraken immediately wrapped three of its tentacles around the sudden aggressor.
"It's finished"
Zhao Nan shook her head, she knew the power of the Kraken's tentacles. It previously used one of them to smash a ship into two.
However, the next scene surprised her. The snake monster wasn't immediately crushed into pieces by the tentacles. In fact, it doesn't look to be affected at all.
The Serpent wasn't happy after being entangled though, it struggled madly while bitting the Kraken tentacles, trying to tear them apart.
"Splash!! Splash!"
Their struggle triggered many waves. While the serpent was madly rolling, the Kraken extended two more tentacles and wrapped them around the serpent.
The tentacles of the Kraken rolled up, revealing countless suckers in which there are many sharp teeth.
These sharp teeth can easily puncture steel. Zhao Nan can testify this as she has seen their power.
After unwrapping the teeth under the suckers, the Kraken used them like a chainsaw, trying to cut the scales of the serpent.
With the sound metal scratching, the teeth span crazily trying to cut the Serpent into pieces. Unfortunately, they couldn't.
The fight between the two monsters continued. Whether it's the Serpent trying to tear the tentacles of the Kraken or the Kraken trying to break the scales of the Serpent, none of the two succeeded.
The fight continued light this for ten minutes before the two monsters slowly sank into the water.
The two monsters have changed the battlefield from the water surface to underwater.
The water restored its peace, but the patch of red on the surface of the water proved that two giant monsters have fought here before.
The red patch is the blood of the Kraken.
When the Serpent was biting on the Kraken tentacles. Although it didn't manage to break it, it was still able to injure it.
From this point of view, the serpent has the upper hand.
However, it's not certain who wins in the end. Although the Kraken was injured, that injury is too small compared to its giant body.
It's just that Zhao Nan and other humans won't know the winner. Since they have sunk, the Kraken and the Serpent have never appeared. Even if they searched in the surrounding areas, they didn't discover anything.
In the end, they announced that the crisis was resolved, and each person went back to their post.
The video of the battle between the Serpent and Kraken spear quickly in 'Huaxia' country. Everyone was shocked. There is a mutant creature with the ability to fight equally with one of the four sea kings.
More importantly, it's not one of the three other kings.
Is this a new sea king? Why has this Serpent never appeared before?
Everyone has such questions.
In fact, many people have connected the Giant Sea Serpent that has appeared in the grass sea a year ago with this new serpent. Quite a few people are speculating on whether they are the same creature.
However, the thing that most people are concerned about is who won? is it the Kraken or the Serpent?
Comments
It’s fine I read the chapter and it is indeed the fight against the kraken so it’s probably just a typing error. Maybe the number should be changed so it won’t cause confusion for other people. Thank you for the chapter.
Sorry, the chapters are correct but I messed up the order. This is all due to 2 chapters with mostly repeated contents. I fused them together in a single chapter, but now I sometimes mess up the chapters order. Anyway, thanks for reminding me, I have fixed them.
I meant 170 172 lol
Is there an error? I can see chapter 130 and 132 but not 131 or is 132 the next chapter? Thanks for the help!
