Chapter 164: Cretaceous Period Creature
🕑 Added 2020-01-17 14:38:08 +0000 UTCGrasse Beach. Due to the battle of the Giant Sea Serpent and the Giant Megalodon happening here, It has become the darling of the various monster enthusiasts and tourists around the world.
At noon, the sun wasn't very strong, many tourists were playing on the beach.
Some were swimming in the water, some were drinking coconut juice under an umbrella, and some men wearing sunglasses were staring at the hotties around.
Fearing that sea monsters will come to this place again, causing tourists to panic, there is a lot of security personnel to maintain order.
In the days after the Giant Sea Serpent's first appearance, the tourists on this beach were quite nervous, afraid that that monster will show up nearby.
As a python, the Giant Sea Serpent has probably the ability to slither on land. So it's totally possible for it to climb on the beach and swallow the tourists here.
However, such a long time passed bu the Giant Sea Serpent has never appeared on the beach again, so the tourists and the government have relaxed a lot.
This also led some daring guys to start swimming deep into the sea. Even if the manager of the beach put a line on the sea. Quite a few people still crossed it.
So, when the accident happened, the first group of people to suffer were those daring and stupid guys.
According to witnesses, the scene went like this.
First, the security personnel on the watchtower discovered a long black shadow on the water surface and quickly issued an alarm.
Immediately, the people swimming in the water began to run madly towards the shore. Not long after, the monster hiding underwater showed his body and began to attack the people on the beach.
It was too late for the security personnel to evacuate the crowd. The giant monster has already reached the shore.
More importantly, it's especially fast, much faster than the escaping tourists.
Of course, it's not that this monster is too much for security to deal with. It's just the fact that its sudden appearance and sneaky hunting that resulted in this
This monster is almost twenty meters long, with a huge head, a strong jaw, and sharp teeth. Its head is very similar to that of a crocodile, but instead of claws and legs, its limbs resemble fish fins. Perhaps flippers are more appropriate for describing its limbs.
A total of 17 people were killed and eaten by this sea monster, but it failed to escape and was killed by the beach security personnel.
From the pictures uploaded on the Internet, in a shallow water area, a black and blue monster laid quietly on the beach. It looks huge, but its body is filled with blood. Reddening the area around it with its blood.
"It looks very similar to the mosasaurs in sci-fi movies."
Someone commented this below the headline on the internet. Immediately after, this comment gained a lot of agreement and praise.
Later, the body of this sea-monster was bought by the 'bald eagle' government.
This news, just like the news od the appearance of the Giant Sea Serpent, has made it into the headlines of various countries.
After all, this is the first sea monster that was killed by humans. More importantly, its body was retrieved.
Not long after the incident, a warship of the 'bald eagle' state came into the grass sea, then transporter this monster back on their warship.
This sea monster was placed on the board of the ship. Looking from the air, it looks like this.
On the endless sea, a 100-meter-long warship is slowly moving forward. On its board, a 20-ùeter long monster laid quietly.
Looking closely, this creature is truly astonishing. It looks just like the pre-historic Mosasaurs.
After getting the corpse of this monster, the 'bald eagle' scientist team immediately dissected and analyzed it. By comparing it to the fossils of the Mosasaurs, they discovered that it's almost the same.
It can basically be concluded that the monster that attacked the Grass Beach and killed 17 people is the top predator of the Cretaceous era-Mosasaurs!
The history of this creature is relatively short. It only appeared in the middle and late Cretaceous, but it can be said to be one of the top-predators in all of history.
In the ocean, they have no opponents at all. Their few competitors have been killed by them in the following years, establishing their position as the ocean hegemon.
This discovery has caused a great uproar.
How could such a creature that should have perished long ago reappear in this age?
How many secrets are hidden in the depths of the ocean?
...
Fang Yun chose to evolve as a deserted island.
This time, he did not experience any harassment from the beginning to the end of the evolution, allowing him to complete his evolution successfully. This evolution took him half a year.
"The time spent in each evolution is getting longer and longer. Will the evolution time eventually increase to ten years, decades, or even hundreds of years?"
Fang Yun shook the dirt off his body, thinking of this. Maybe one day, after waking up from sleep due to evolution. The world would have completely changed and humanity might have gone extinct.
However soon, he put aside these meaningless messy thoughts, the humans of this world dying doesn't have anything to do with him. In the end, he is just a passer-by. That's without mentioning that the humans consider him a monster, even if he wanted to help them, they might not appreciate it.
"I don't know what kind of improvement my attributes have this time?"
Fang Yun was looking forward to this, he quickly said in his mind. "System, bring up my property panel."
As soon he said that. A light curtain appeared in his mind.
Host property list:
Level: 20->21
Bio-energy: 5620/1800000
Skill Points: 23
Body length: 42m->50m
Diameter: 1.5m->1.8m
Strength: 3000->4000
Defense: 1000->1050
Speed: 220->240
Dexterity: 340->360
Spirit: 190->210
Stamina: 240->260
Skills: Shadow Wind (1/5).
Maxed out skills have been hidden.
Fang Yun browsed his properties panel from top to bottom. He was happy to discover that he reached a shocking 50 meters in length and 1.8m in diameter. He loves these size growths the most.
"All my attributes have improved."
Fang Yun's eyes focused on the column of skill points. After thinking for a moment, he decided to save them for now.
"I hope that there are some new skills after the next evolution."
He wants to see if any new skills get refreshed next time, so he decided to keep these skill points. It's not too late to upgrade "Wind Shadow" if he ever needed more speed.
Immediately afterwards, Fang Yun called up his own information panel. His reputation has reached more than 1.5 billion.
However, this time after the increase of 500 million reputation points, he still didn't get any skill points.
"Hmm, Will get skill points after each time my reputation value double? For example 500 million, 1 billion, 2 billion, etc..."
Fang Yun thought for a while before making this guess, but he wasn't sure about this. He sometimes wishes that his system was intelligent so that he can answer his questions and talk with him when he is bored or lonely.
Fang Yun shook his head and stopped thinking about this, he has more important things to do.
The creatures he saw in that space channel caused him a lot of pressure.
Now that the creatures in that world are starting to come out one after another, and the frequency is getting faster and faster. There is a big chance that these giant monsters, hundreds of meters high, will come out one day.
Even if he is now 50 meters long and has a super-strong defense. He still doesn't have much chance of winning in front of those monsters.
Those monsters have various powerful attacks, like acid, super agility, and even laser beams!
When he saw that giant monster opening its mouth and spiting a laser, he was left with his jaw hanging. These laser beam attacks have the destructive power of a powerful missile, but they are much faster, more accurate and continuous. That's why he thought that humans don't have any chance of winning.
He has to hurry up and evolve or he won't even be able to guarantee his safety.
Fang Yun still chose to go to the relic of the alien civilization and wait for the monster from there to get out.
When he just arrived at that place, he encountered another mutant creature, and this mutant creature is the largest one he has met so far.
