Chapter 157: Mutant Octopus
🕑 Added 2020-01-12 18:04:50 +0000 UTCThe event went like this.
A group of people headed by a famous magician came to a certain area on the west coast of the United States. They were planning to perform shocking underwater escape magic in that place.
The performer is called Williams. He mainly performs all kinds of escape magic: escape underwater, escape in the air, etc., He is quite famous internationally.
In addition to Williams and his team, there was a group of journalists and some specially invited "lucky" viewers.
At the beginning of the show, Williams's team took out an iron cage. He then asked his deputy, Jenny, to bind him before putting him in the iron cage.
Immediately afterward, the iron cage was slowly lowered into the water with a hanging rope.
Such an underwater escape program mainly relies on the flexibility of the human body. The person performing the magic must have enough flexibility and enough experience to flee from the binding and iron cage.
Williams had done similar escape magic before, but it was in the air.
At that time, his hands and feet were locked with iron chains, bundled into a sack and locked into an iron cage.
He was pushed down from the hatch of a plane flying at a height of 5,000 meters and fell vertically at a speed of 240km/h. He was handcuffed, a sack on his head and in an iron cage.
At that critical juncture, it took him only 45 seconds to miraculously break loose the handcuffs, drill out of the sack, open the iron cage, then open the parachute. He landed safely on the ground, creating an unparalleled escape miracle.
However, this time the situation is even more dangerous. He is underwater at the depth of almost 100 meters, bearing an unimaginable pressure while holding his breath. This time, it would be even more difficult to escape, but he likes the challenge.
After the cage was lowered underwater, everyone waited.
All the people on the cruise were nervous.
This escape magic is very dangerous. Williams in deep underwater, he has to free himself while bearing the enormous pressure. He has to do all of this while holding his breath. His time is limited, about a minute.
Time passed little by little, ten seconds, twenty seconds, thirty seconds ... one minute!
One and a half minutes ... two minutes!
On the cruise ship, Williams' deputy Jenny has begun to panic. According to their previous plan, after one minute, Williams should climb from the other side of the cruise ship and in the astonished eyes of the crowd, calmly greet them.
It wasn't only him, even the reporters and the audience started to panic.
Jenny couldn't hold it anymore. He quickly pulled back the iron cage, but he was taken aback when he saw it.
The iron cage was opened, and there was no trace of Williams inside.
Is Williams joking with them?
This idea appeared in the mind of most people on the scene. Just as they started searching for Williams inside the crowd. A thing that caused extreme panic in the crowd happened.
A huge tentacle suddenly broke the water surface. Amongst the panicked screams and horror-filled faces on the cruise ship, the huge tentacle stroke heavily on the ship.
"boom!"
The giant cruise ship was almost cut off from the middle.
"AHHHHH!!!!"
"NO! I don't want to die!!!"
Despair filled screams sounded from the cruise ship, but after another slap from the huge tentacle, these screams abruptly disappeared.
Of course, for all the people in the world. The specific process of this incident is a mystery.
Although some people called the police at that time, they only managed to say a few words before dying.
"Sea monster, sea monster".
This is what the police heard before the call got cut off.
When the police ships reached that place, they only saw the wreckage of the cruise ship.
This incident caused another uproar on the Internet. Counting the Island Maru, this is already the second sea monster attack.
In fact, counting the time when Jonny's submarine was attacked, this should be the third sea monster attack incident.
It's just that the submarine has very strong defenses, and they happened to meet with two monsters fighting.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have been the only survivors of a monster attack.
Of course, there is no exact evidence pointing that the Giant Sea Serpent is the one responsible for these 3 incidents. However, such thing don't really require evidence.
Aren't these incidents due to monsters attack?
The Giant Sea Serpent is also a sea monster, so everyone naturally began to fear it.
Previously, although there was the voice of catching the Giant Sea Serpent on the internet, it wasn't very popular. However, after the two shipwreck incidents and the death of a large number of people.
This voice quickly became mainstream. Most of the people on the internet are clamoring about the danger of the Giant Sea Serpent.
During that period of time, two more incidents happened. The first was a fishing boat shipwreck. It was sunk due to a storm and that's exactly what was relayed to the people.
However, once this incident was reported on the news, many people thought that it was due to a monster's attack.
The other incident was confirmed to be due to a sea monster attack.
It was a cruise ship full of tourists. As it passed the Bering Strait, the bottom of the cruise ship was attacked by a sea monster, causing it to capsize. The people there had the time to pass the news back before dying.
None of the 130 tourists survived.
"There is no doubt that it's a murderous demon!"
This is the thought of most people about the Giant Sea Serpent.
After a rough calculation. Since its discovery, the Giant Sea Serpent has killed more than 400 people, so it's fully reasonable for people to call it a murderous demon.
Anyway, the mainstream opinion is that the Giant Sea Serpent must not be allowed to wander freely, it must be caught or even killed.
Some people have different opinions, but their voices were soon drowned by the voice of most people on the internet.
The United States was especially adamant about catching the Giant Sea Serpent. It has dispatched many warships and scientific ships.
Fang Yun didn't know that he was forced to carry the pot of others.
He actually has a certain aversion to eating humans so he won't attack then unless attacked first. There is a lot of prey in the ocean anyway so he won't bother attacking them.
With his wisdom, he also knows that he is far from being the humans opponent so he isn't stupid enough to madly attack them.
He is currently far away from the place where he was before. According to his calculations, he should be in the Antarctic right now.
As he thought, the prey here is very rich, seals and penguins are in large groups. Although they are quite cute, that won't stop him from eating them.
In just two months, he accumulated more than 800,000 bio-energy points in this place.
His current total bio-energy is exactly 1.2 million bio-energy points.
Since then, he has been searching for an island suitable for his evolution.
The reason why he didn't choose to evolve in the sea is because it's too dangerous.
During these two months, he encountered another mutant monster in the depth of the Antarctic.
If he is attacked by a mutant monster in the midst of his evolution. He will be forced to cancel the evolution, wasting the bio-energy he spent so long to accumulate.
Fortunately, there are no mutant monsters on land, at least not yet.
After wandering for a month, Fang Yun discovered a suitable island.
This island is shaped like a bull's head. It's circular in the middle with two landmasses sticking from the side. Just like the horns of a bull.
After examining it, Fang Yun nodded with satisfaction. He climbed on the island, found a suitable place and started his evolution.
