Chapter 156: Monster Threat Theory
🕑 Added 2020-01-11 21:16:16 +0000 UTCThe behemoth that was swimming underwater suddenly rose to the surface.
"Splash!"
The water surface broke open and a huge shadow rose to the sky. The huge python opened his mouth and attacked John next to the hatch.
"Ahhh!!"
John's eyes widened to the extreme, his heart crazily thumped, almost passing out. He unsteadily fell to the floor, almost falling out of the helicopter. He would have fallen out if he didn't have the safety rope.
"Oh my God!"
Charlie subconsciously glanced out of the window when he heard John's cries. He immediately saw the giant python jumping out of the river and attacking their helicopter.
Without the slightest hesitation, he pulled the joystick up, trying to lift the helicopter.
Suddenly, his complexion changed.
"Crack!"
The sound of metal friction sounded and Charlie has found that the helicopter has become much heavier. The python has bitten on the landing gear of the helicopter.
Not waiting for him to think much, The python exerted his muscles, tearing away the landing gear from the helicopter.
"Splash!"
The giant python's huge body fell back into the river, making a loud splashing sound.
The helicopter also fell towards the ground due to the previous pulling force.
"Shit! NOO!"
Charlie yelled desperately. He pulled the joystick up fiercely, struggling to pull the helicopter up. Just as he was about to succeed-
"Bang!"
The helicopter's propellers crashed into a tree, and the fuselage burst directly, creating a large explosion. The helicopter broke into pieces and fell into the ground.
"Charlie!"
"John!"
...
Several exclamations sounded from the other two helicopters, the pilots were stunned after seeing this scene.
None of them expected that the giant python would suddenly attack the helicopter.
"Damn animal!!"
In the helicopter on the left, Roger yelled angrily. Blue veins popped on his forehead.
He immediately shouted in his headset, "Dun, I really want to this animal into pieces!"
"I want to do the same!"
Dunn's angry voice sounded from the headset: "But we have to obey the commander order!"
"I'll contact the commander!"
Roger resentfully said. The next moment, he changed the channel and reported the news of Charlie's sacrifice to his leader.
In a seaside military base, the middle-aged officer looked at the screen in front of him with a somber face. On the screen in front of him, a python was slithering forward on the ground.
Not far away from that python, there is a burning and broken helicopter.
He clearly saw the previous scene through the cameras of the other two helicopters.
In his opinion, this is just a simple task. He didn't expect losing three of his elite men.
"Sir, look."
While the commander was looking gloomily at the screen, a young soldier next to him suddenly pointed at the display and said to him;
"The anesthetic needle shot by John had indeed landed on the python, but it was bounced back by its scales."
"Oh?"
Hearing the words of the young soldier, a surprised look emerged on the commander's face. He quickly looked at the screen with a serious look.
The young soldier clicked on a few boutons, rewinding the video, then playing it in slow motion.
The video on the screen showed the scene where John shot the anesthetic needle on the python's scales. Although it's not a high-definition video, many things are still clear.
They watched as the anesthetic needle violently tore the water surface, then landed on the python's tail. However, it bounced back after landing on the python's scales, cracking due to the high-speed collision.
"This……"
Seeing this scene, the middle-aged man was shocked.
He knows that this kind of anesthetic needle can easily penetrate a 1mm thick steel plate, so he was shocked to see that it couldn't penetrate the python's scales.
"Sir."
The young soldier said. "This python defense is very perverted, I guess that a normal rifle can't penetrate its scales."
Speaking of this, the young soldier was extremely horrified.
What kind of python is this?
Hearing the words of the young soldier, the middle-aged man's heart fluttered. The next moment, he immediately shouted at the young soldier.
"Immediately convey my orders Roger and ..."
He didn't even finish his sentence before Roger contacted him.
"Sir, Charlie they were sacrificed, can we kill the ..."
The resentment filled voice of Roger sounded from the headset. The middle-aged man took a breath and interrupted him, sternly saying to him.
"Attack the python's tail with a sniper rifle. Be sure to catch it!"
After giving this order, he began to pace back and forth in the room.
In the beginning, he felt that the scientist who proposed to catch the python was really idle. Now that he knows the preciousness of the python, he finally realized that those guys have a better vision than him.
This giant python has great research value.
From the previous attack, He can see that this python's defense is amazing. If they can obtain the python's scales, they might be able to unlock the secret of its powerful defense.
In the future, this technology could be applied to the military?
The seeds of desire rose in the middle-aged man's heart.
"YES!"
In the cockpit, Roger roared excitedly after hearing the words of the leader.
"Lorry, destroy that monster's tail with the sniper rifle!"
"Understood!"
On the back seat, a muscular soldier nodded, he picked up a sniper rifle and aimed at the python below.
At this time, the python was about 200 meters away from the sea. With its speed, it can reach it in less than 10 seconds.
However, as an elite soldier, he can easily shoot a few times at the python during this time period. Coupled with the huge size of the python, it would be easy for him to shoot it.
Aiming at the giant python's tail, Lorry didn't hesitate to shoot.
"Bang!"
The bullet landed on Fang Yun's tail, resulting in a loud sound and a burst of sparks, Fang Yun's muscles slightly shook, but apart from that, he didn't feel anything.
This bullet is actually much more powerful than the previous anesthetic needle, but even so, it doesn't have much difference to him;
"Damn guy."
Fang Yun was furious. He fought back after being attacked. However, he can't fight back against these guys attack now, they are too high.
After being attacked by the sniper rifle, the python still rushed forward without even flinching, leaving Roger and Lorry stunned.
Lorry and Roger weren't the only guys dumbfounded, every person who saw this scene was stunned, including the middle-aged man in the military base, who was staring at the screen blankly.
It's not necessary to describe the power of a sniper rifle, most people know it.
The sniper rifle equipped by their elite team can penetrate a 70cm thick armor steel plate within 100 meters, but even such a powerful weapon doesn't have any effect on the giant python.
Doesn't that mean that the defensive power of that python is superior to that of a 70cm thick armor steel plate?
"Roger, Dunn!"
The middle-aged commander said solemnly in the headset.
"Listen, No matter what method you use, you must capture that python, it doesn't matter whether it's dead or alive!"
"Understood!"
"understood!"
Roger and Dunn responded seriously to their leader.
"Guys attack that animal with machine guns, blow its head!"
Roger yelled in the cockpit, his deputy immediately approached the door, raised the machine gun, and started blasting.
"Da da da!!"
With the sound of loud gunfire, the machine gun bullets landed on Fang Yun's scales, creating a lot of sparks.
Not only did Roger's deputy attack the python with the machine gun, but Dunn's deputy also did the same.
However, even two powerful machine guns equipped with armor-piercing bullets didn't cause any injury to the giant python.
"This monster……"
Roger, Dunn and the rest could only watch with wide eyes as the python quickly entered the water.
The python capture operation failed.
After learning about the giant python super-defensive ability, the American defense department and the research department became determined to capture it.
However, such things can only be done secretly.
At present, the international community has not yet decided on how to deal with this giant python. If they rashly attack it, it wouldn't be easy to explain.
It will also attract a big rebound from inside the country, especially the animal rights activists and other similar societies.
Therefore, they have to publicize the harmfulness of the giant python first before moving on to the capture plan.
For example, creating false rumors on the internet about the giant python attacking humans. Then publicize the theory of monsters' threat to the human civilization.
However, just when the American government was planning to do so, a ready-made sea monster incident suddenly appeared.
This event has caused the monster threat theory to become popular on the internet in just a few days.
