Chapter 181: The Thieving Serpent
🕑 Added 2020-02-02 23:17:59 +0000 UTC"We finally caught this monster."
"I thought that it should struggle a bit more, but it looks like it has reached the end of its power."
"Well, guys, stop chatting, we need to anesthetize this monster quickly."
In the communication channel, the soldiers talked in a relaxed manner. The six helicopters hovered above the super Mosasaurus, making a lot of ripples on the water surface.
Below these six helicopters, a huge monster was floating on the water surface, a net covering its body. It was covered in injuries and scars, almost on the verge of death.
This is the super Mosasaurus that the 'Bald Eagle' government was chasing for so long. its body was caught in the special alloy nets. Without the strength to move.
It couldn't even escape underwater.
This situation has caused both the 'Bald Eagle' government and the military to be excited. They had been chasing this monster for more than a month.
It's finally time to harvest.
"It's really big."
A helicopter slowly descended towards the Giant Monsasaurus, at the same time, a soldier with a rope wrapped around his waist walked out of the hatch.
He hanged mid-air with a huge gun in his hand. The gun was filled with a huge need tube.
It's filled with an anesthetic specially prepared for the super Mosasaurus.
"Okay, Kane, you can shoot."
A voice sounded from the headset. Hearing this, Kane picked up the gun and pointed at the super Mosasaurus below.
To be precise, he aimed at a wound on the super Mosasaurus body; The scales were broken, and the flesh and blood a rolled.
If the super Mosasaurus still had its scale armor, then the anesthetic needle wouldn't have been able to penetrate it.
"Boom!"
Kane pulled the trigger and without any accident. The anesthetic needle deeply penetrated the super Mosasaurus flesh.
"Roar!!!"
The anesthetic needle penetrating the soft meat on the super Mosasaurus back should have caused it a lot of pain. The super Mosasaurus struggled fiercely, splashing water on Kane who was hanging mid-air.
"Shit, it still has some strength."
Kane whispered. Looking up, he should at his companion.
"Michael, pull me up, I don't want to stay too close to this monster."
He is only about 4 to 5 meters away from the super Mosasaurus below. Fortunately, it's in a state of exhaustion or he would have been eaten by now.
"Attention to all units, ready to drag The super Mosasaurus."
The anesthetic should have worked, as the super Mosasaurus stopped moving and returned to the motionless state like before.
After making sure that the monster has stopped moving. The helicopters slowly lowered an iron hook. They are preparing to tow the super Mosasaurus away.
As long as the hook is connected to the net, the super Mosasaurus can be towed away.
Just as they were about to connect the hooks with the nets. The body of the super Mosasaurus started to quickly sink.
It completely sank underwater in just a few seconds.
"Damn, what's going on?"
Kane was holding the hook and was about to connect it to the net. However, he was dumbstruck when he saw this scene.
"Look, what's that under the super Mosasaurus?"
Suddenly, a panic-stricken voice sounded in the communication channel. Kane immediately looked below the giant monster's body after hearing that.
He sat in the hatch and looked down. However, the super Mosasaurus was obstructing his view.
He quickly shouted at the pilot, after which The helicopter moved to the side of the Mosasaurus body.
"Serpent?"
After the helicopter moved to the side, he clearly saw the appearance of the creature pulling the Mosasaurus down.
Isn't this the so-called king of the Pacific? The Giant Serpent.
This Serpent is biting a corner of the super Mosasaurus body and quickly sinking underwater.
"Damn, the Giant Serpent is snatching our Trophy!"
Kane immediately woke up and yelled loudly. He tried to shoot the Serpent with the machine gun in the hatch, but no order had been given yet.
"Stop it! Don't let that that Serpent take the Mosasaurus body!"
At this moment, the chief's order came from the headset, but looking at the Giant Serpent hidden below the Mosasaurus, they didn't know where to start.
The Giant Serpent was not only hiding below the super Mosasaurus, but it was also very fast. In less than a minute, it was already quite far.
"Use the guided missiles to kill that Serpent!"
The anxious voice of the chief sounded again from the headset.
They worked so hard to catch that Mosasaurus. They are not going to watch as some shit monster gets the reward they worked so hard for.
Two missiles were immediately dropped in the water, then immediately headed for the Giant Serpent
The moment the missiles were launched, Fang Yun felt the threat. These missiles have the ability to seriously injure him, getting hit by them would be bad.
Although he has gained the ability to detect and control electromagnetic waves after getting "Thunder Domain". This skill is just at level 1, so it's not that strong. He can control the electromagnetic waves in only a few dozen meters.
Fang Yun has two options right now. One is to drop the super Mosasaurus body and escape from the missiles using "Shadow Wind", or to detonate them in advance using his electromagnetic control. He will still get a bit injured though.
Even while thinking, Fang Yun still moved at a very fast speed, even while dragging the huge body of the super Mosasaurus.
However, the missiles still quickly caught up. With a look of determination, Fang Yun controlled electromagnetic waves to detonate the missiles in advance, at about 30 meters away from him.
After the explosion, the violent energy swept the surroundings, creating a shock wave in the water, throwing the water and the debris to the surrounding places.
Fang Yun was hit by the debris and the shockwaves, causing him to almost lose grip of the super Mosasaurus and injuring him.
He looked a bit miserable, quite a few of his scales fell off, blood flowed out from his injuries.
The super Mosasaurus situation is way worse though. This poor guy was almost torn into half by the shockwaves. Blood seeped out from it like a flowing river, completely dying the surroundings red.
"Hiss!"
Fang Yun hissed in pain, a look of anger flashed on his face. He really wanted to go back and teach these guys why the flowers are so red! but in the end, he gritted his teeth and pulled the super Mosasaurus away in silence.
"Sure enough, those powerful thermal weapons can still cause me a lot of damage."
Although Fang Yun had previously overturned a warship, it was due to a special situation. He still can't resist the powerful hot weapons such as missiles and torpedos.
One torpedo might not be able to immediately kill him, but two or three can.
"Huh, thankfully my "Quick Regeneration" skill is maxed out."
Fang Yun's heart slightly relaxed. He discovered that the injuries on his body are quickly healing. At this rate, these almost 1m wide injuries will heal in 2 minutes
Dragging the body of the super Mosasaurus, Fang Yun quickly swam to the distance.
The reason why he is so concerned about the body of this Mosasaurus is that he would be able to evolve after devouring it.
The remaining bio-energy for evolution can be made up by devouring this Mosasaurus.
He was originally looking for a big mutant creature to make up the remaining energy for evolution. He didn't expect to meet this injured Mosasaurus.
According to the system's prompt. This mutant Mosasaurus can provide him with the largest amount of bio-energy he has seen in a single creature so far. Even more than that octopus monster!
350,000 bio-energy points!
The fact that the Giant Serpent snatched the super Mosasaurus right from under their eyes caused the 'Bald Eagle' country to get extremely angry.
They worked so hard for more than a month, but in the end, it was harvested by that damn monster!
More importantly, they can't study the super Mosasaurus like the 'Brown Bear' and other Asian countries.
Now the super Mosasaurus is eaten by the Giant Serpent. Even if it contain some sort of amazing secret, it's meaningless!
Due to this incident. The most hated monster in the 'Bald Eagle' country change from the super Mosasaurus to the Giant Serpent.
