Chapter 178: The 5th Monster King
🕑 Added 2020-01-31 14:19:42 +0000 UTCAn extremely huge cargo ship was slowly moving forward on the calm sea. Its size is enormous, even bigger than an aircraft carrier.
In fact, this is true. An ordinary aircraft carrier is usually about tens of thousands of tons, but this cargo ship has a weight of over 150,000 tons.
Due to its huge size, its moving speed is very slow, only about 18 knots.
A giant freighter full of cargo like this is in fact in more danger than smaller ships. The ocean isn't what it used to be, a top-level mutant can seriously threaten their safety, and it's almost certain death in the face of king-level monsters.
Fortunately, this route is now a relatively safe route, and in the face of such a huge freighter, ordinary mutant creatures will avoid it.
Right now, this freighter is sailing in the North Pacific and its destination is the 'Sakura country' Hokkaido.
The freighter is full of containers, and many crew members are working on the deck.
Although the crew members looked a bit nervous, they aren't afraid.
This route is relatively safe. There have been no major incidents so far. In addition, the only king-level monster in the pacific has left this area and is currently wandering in the Antarctic Ocean.
So the crew is even more relaxed than usual.
However, at three o'clock in the afternoon, a crew member suddenly noticed that there is something behind the freighter. It's a bit far away so he didn't clearly see what is it, but he still reported this to the captain.
The captain in this freighter is a white man called Carlos. After hearing the sailor's report, he walked towards the stern with a pair of binoculars.
His vision suddenly turned into two circles, and he clearly saw the huge shadow following behind them.
Carlos clearly saw that huge shadow.
"Shit, what the hell is that!"
Carlos gritted his teeth, his face looked ugly.
By now, the shadow is already quite close to the freighter, standing on the deck, the giant shadow can be seen clearly.
"Mutant creatures, it's a mutant creature, damn it, we are being followed by a mutant creature!"
"Snake? fuck! it's the giant serpent! We have encountered the giant serpent that those 'Sakura country' people saw before."
"Absolutely, shit, look, it's exactly the same!"
Someone brought up the video of the battle between the Kraken and the giant serpent. As expected, it's very similar to the creature behind the freighter. In fact, it's almost the same!
The results of the comparison caused them to panic.
A few days ago, a rumor spread on the internet. It's sais that the Kraken hasn't killed the Giant Serpent. In fact, the Kraken was defeated and could only escape to the Antarctic sea. The pacific new king is the Giant Serpent.
A video also quickly spread.
The content of that video is a mysterious creature snatching a mutant swordfish from fishermen.
However, the appearance of the Giant Serpent wasn't captured at all. It's still uncertain if that mysterious creature is the giant serpent.
However, at this moment, Carlos dares to swear to God that Giant Serpent is still alive and is in the pacific ocean. It has defeated the Kraken and has become the hegemon of the Pacific Ocean.
The Giant Serpent reached a place about 100 meters behind the freighter. At this time, it kept swimming at about the same speed as the freighter, always keeping a distance about 100 meters behind it.
Fang Yun didn't expect to find a freighter crossing the sea. He swam towards them then kept a certain distance between them. He slowly swam forward with a relaxed look on his face.
He became much bolder than before.
During this time, he has been wandering around the North Pacific. He has fought with a lot of mutant creatures, but apart from the Kraken, none of them were able to escape from him.
He is feeling a bit bored and lonely right now.
So now that he met human beings, he went towards them without any hesitation. He isn't afraid of human beings anymore. Unless he madly kills them, they won't bother him.
He wants to accumulate a bit reputation points and by the way, recharge his batteries. He has been using "Thunder Domain" to hunt a little too much.
If the people on this freighter attack him, he can quickly hide underwater and launch a fierce counterattack!
He can either use "Overclocking Resonance" to disintegrate this ship, causing all of these people to fall into the water. With the large amount of ancient and mutant creatures these days, that's basically certain death.
Or launch "Thunder Domain" to directly electrocute them to death.
However, these guys didn't take the initiative to attack him, they just cried fearfully.
If these people saw him before the emergence of sea monsters, it may leave them with a great psychological shadow, but now that the world has entered the era of monsters. People's mental capacity has become very strong.
Fang Yun leisurely swam forward, following the freighter for more than 30 nautical miles, feeling that his batteries have almost recharged, he suddenly sank underwater.
His actions have scared the people on the freighter to death. All of them thought that the Giant Serpent is going to attack.
In short, the boat was filled with cries of fear and scrambling people.
After ten minutes of mourning, everyone awkwardly found that nothing happened. Slowly walking to the edge of the ship, they looked at the water surface.
At the same time, some people used the sonar radar to look for the traces of the Giant Serpent, but no large creature was found near their ship.
"Did it leave?"
The people on the boat looked silently at each other, their heart relaxing a bit. At this time, they can't wait to reach the port immediately and vent their nervousness and fear.
It's a pity that they are hundreds of nautical miles away from the port. They still have to remain in the sea for a few days.
However, some sailors have recorded what happened before. They quickly uploaded the video to the internet, hoping that 'Sakura country' sends some warships to escort them.
After this video went online. All the people questioning and ridiculing Hirota shut up.
This is not like the low-quality video of Hirota. The appearance of the Serpent in the video is quite clear. It's indeed very similar to the Giant Serpent that fought with the Kraken a while ago.
Unless there are two Giant Serpents in the pacific that look exactly the same, this is indeed that Giant Serpent.
"Who won the battle between the Giant Serpent and the Kraken, this video has your answers."
"The ruler of the Pacific has changed, the fifth king has appeared."
"Who is the peak monster? The sight of this Giant Serpent will shock you."
"After defeating the Kraken, is it the strongest monster?"
Titles like this can be seen everywhere on major news platforms. Many people were discussing on forums and other media platforms about the Giant Serpent.
Now that the fifth monster king has emerged, will there be a sixth one in the future.?
If the number of monster kings really keeps growing, then the ocean will become a forbidden ground for humans.
Moreover, the coastal cities in various countries are likely to be given on. Most of the monster-king level creatures can go to the shore and attack them.
This kind of situation is impossible for humans to accept. Humans who have always considered themselves the top-creature can't just give up in the face of monsters.
Since the emergence of the Giant Serpent, the people around the world have become very worried. A haze enveloped all the people in the world.
However, some people proposed something interesting at this time. The Giant Serpent has encountered Hirota's fishing boat and a huge freighter, but it has attacked neither. Is this Giant Serpent a gentle creature?
To be honest, since it was able to defeat the Kraken, then it has the ability to easily sink both that fishing boat and the freighter.
Since it's able to sink both of them, why didn't it attack?
Is this Serpent like the Giant Turle in the Arctic, it doesn't like attacking humans?
A lot of people argued about this topic with no definite result.
Just as everyone was arguing about the temper of the Giant Serpent, In a military base established by the 'Bald Eagle' in Okinawa, two warships quietly left the port, and then headed towards the place where the freighter met with the Giant Serpent.
