Chapter 174 Fang Yun's Whereabouts
🕑 Added 2020-01-26 21:53:27 +0000 UTCThe Kraken was discovered by a 'Huaxia' research ship. At that time, they were conducting a scientific research expedition at sea. A staff member standing on the deck suddenly noticed a black shadow rising from the water next to them.
"Sea monster, there is a sea monster!"
The staff member, dressed in thick clothes, yelled immediately, attracting the attention of the other people on the ship.
To be honest, the word sea monster is not that scary nor mysterious. In fact, it's very common lately.
Someone said on the internet that in the current era, dropping a fishing net and dragging it for a few minutes is guaranteed to get you a sea monster.
This is an era where sea monsters are very common. The chance of a meeting a sea monster in the sea is almost 100%
So when the staff members of the ship heard this shout, they looked subconsciously at the source of the sound. There wasn't any trace of fear in their heart.
However, when they saw the huge shadow rising from the sea, their faces suddenly changed.
The sea on the side of the Antarctic Sea is clear and transparent, there are very few impurities. So even if the sea monster hasn't surfaced yet, they were still able to see its outline and rough appearance.
It's a huge octopus.
"It's the Kraken that has disappeared!."
One of them yelled. He apparently knew the news about the disappearance of the Kraken.
The power of the Kraken doesn't need questioning, this monster is definitely a nightmare. The staff on the ship started to panic and cry.
Fortunately, some clear-headed people immediately the nearby escort warships. At the same time, they prepared the weapons to defend themselves.
Even scientific research ships are equipped with weapons and whaling guns these days.
Of course, they are not used to hunt whales, but to deal with the ancient and mutant creatures they encountered along the way.
On the launch pad of the whaling gun, a person sat up and then began to adjust the angle of the barrel. The shell loaded inside looks very similar to a rocket, but it's actually a huge anesthetic needle.
This anesthetic needle is specially prepared to deal with large monsters. Not only does it have a large penetrative power, but the anesthetic prepared inside is enough to knock out a blue whale in just a few minutes.
The Kraken just emerged and was immediately greeted with the anesthetic needle. It was too late to escape. The gunpowder behind it exploded, pushing the needle with a large force. This needle created a wound on one of the Kraken tentacles.
Suffering from the sudden pain, this Kraken waved its tentacles frantically. It immediately rushed towards the ship and smacked it with one of its tentacles.
On the side of the hull, a huge bump was formed. The three people who were standing there didn't even have the chance to scream and immediately became meat patties.
The staff member on the launch pad of the whaling gun fired another anesthetic needle, forming another wound on the Kraken and injecting it with a large dose of anesthesia.
However, although the anesthesia is enough to instantly knock out an elephant, it's nothing to the Kraken, it wasn't even affected. The Kraken waved another one of its tentacles, smacking the ship again.
The ship shook madly, almost overturning.
"Ahhh!! Help!"
"Haven't those soldiers arrived yet?!"
Screams of panic filled the deck. Some people were afraid of being hit by the tentacles and started running towards the cabin. Some people panicked and jumped into the sea.
Fortunately, with the sound of a helicopter gear, three military helicopters arrived.
Two of the helicopters used machine guns to harass the Kraken, while the other helicopter began to attack it with artillery.
"Boom!!!"
The artillery landed on the Kraken tentacles, blowing its flesh and leaving a large wound.
The Kraken madly attacked the helicopter, trying to catch the annoying thing above its head.
The research ship was still functioning, it started moving forward, distancing itself from the Kraken, the people on the ship just watched the Kraken silently.
They watched as two helicopters kept moving while attacking the Kraken. Countless bullets landed on the Kraken then bounced back. The angry Kraken waved its nine tentacles in the sky, like 9 giant moving buildings.
At this point, the other helicopter is ready. They are going to launch the carrier-based missile.
The Kraken suddenly stopped moving, feeling something, it quickly sank underwater.
It disappeared in an instant. In just a few seconds, the Kraken completely disappeared.
........
Fang Yun was leisurely swimming in the sea. He is still in the Fihai Sea, but he is moving east. He will probably soon leave this area.
Along the way, he saw many fishing boats.
He was quite surprised. With the number of mutants and ancient creatures in the sea, there are still this many boats? It wasn't like this before.
He didn't know that it was because of the disappearance of the Kraken.
He himself was considered to be dead.
Therefore, the fishermen along the pacific coast started to go fishing frantically to make up for the loss in the previous year.
In addition, some people also think that the Serpent King-level monster title should be revoked. Obviously, it was the one that attacked first, but it was instead killed. This has caused them to think that the serpent isn't worthy of the king-level evaluation.
Such a boring topic has caused a lot of controversy on the Internet. In short, many people have different opinions. Some think that Fang Yun isn't worthy, some don't think so.
If Fang Yun knew that these guys are arguing about him, he would think that these guys are really bored, then throw this thing behind.
He doesn't have time to deal with gossip, he has to evolve as soon as possible to keep his hegemon status.
He is currently following a school of fish. Although this fish school has only a dozen fish, every fish in this school is about 5 meters long.
This is an ancient fish school.
According to the system, this is a school consisting of sword-fish, which belongs to a large predatory bony fish of the Cretaceous era.
They look like giant tarpons with fangs, and they are fast. If it was other creatures, it would be very hard to catch up with them. Fang Yun doesn't have such a problem though.
After swallowing ten sword-fish, the fish school collapsed. Fang Yun didn't follow the scattered sword-fish but continued swimming forward.
Each sword-fish provided him with 7,500 bio-energy points. After this meal, he acquired tens of thousands of bio-energy points.
By now, his bio-energy had accumulated to 1.2 million points, more than half remains.
While swimming, he occasionally sticks his head out of the water, takes a deep breath then go back underwater.
About half a month later, Fang Yun has traveled a long distance.
If he could fly at a high-altitude, he will discover a small-sized continent ahead of him.
If he saw this small continent, he would definitely say.
"Isn't this 'Sakura' country?"
That's right, right now he is in the area of the 'Sakura country'. He discovered that the prey here is very abundant, so he happily decided to stay here for a while.
