Chapter 173: The Return Of The Kraken
🕑 Added 2020-01-26 12:56:10 +0000 UTCIt's about nine o'clock in the evening. At this time, Virginia Beach has fallen into silence. There are only a few people in the hotel restaurant, drinking red wine and looking at the moonlight.
The scene in Hampton hotel was very peaceful.
In a table in the corner. Three people were happily talking while sipping wine. Two men and one woman. They were one of the first witnesses that saw the Super Mosasaurus getting out of the sea.
"Ahhh!!"
When the three of them saw the super Mosasaurus walking out from the beach and walking towards them, they screamed in fear.
The three looked in fear as the giant monster quickly approached them, paralyzed from fear and unable to move.
After a moment of silence, they scrambled up to the rear, hating that they didn't have one more pair of legs to escape.
They started yelling loudly, trying to vent their fear. As a result, they alarmed a lot of people, many of them opened the windows to see who is making the ruckus, as a result, they saw the super Mosasaurus slowly approaching them from afar.
The hotel fell into a complete panic. People shoved each other and started running. However, super Mosasaurus is quite fast. In less than a minute, it reached the hotel, then violently collided with the hotel.
Its size has increased since last time. It was previously 150 meters long, now it's 180 meters long, quite terrifying.
The super Mosasaurus easily destroyed the hotel building. The hotel walls couldn't even make it stop, it cut through it like a piece of paper.
"AHHH!! Help!! Help me!!!"
The super Mosasaurus stuck its head inside the hotel and bit the annoying bug that was screaming.
After the super Mosasaurus left, all that was left is a ruin.
When the police came here, it was already five minutes later.
The super Mosasaurus has already run back into the sea. It ran back easily after destroying a 6-story hotel, without the slightest injury.
The incident of the super Mosasaurus destroying a hotel in Virginia Beach has quickly made headlines in various countries' media. Finally suppressing the popularity of the fight between the Serpent and the Octopus.
The citizens of the 'Bald Eagle' country are extremely angry.
This monster has been harassing them for the past year. Counting the destruction it caused in cities and the ships it sank. It has killed thousands of people. The material loses are in the hundreds of billions.
Many citizens cursed the government for their incompetence on the internet. Many people urged them to quickly find a solution for that monster.
The government of the 'bald eagle' repeatedly reassured them. They are going to kill that monster as soon as possible. In fact, they had been trying to do for a long time.
........
After the invasion of ancient creatures, the species in the sea did not decrease. Of course, only the ferocious and the creatures that are able to adapt remains.
Docile and gentle creatures like blue whales are almost extinct.
This type of creature is huge, docile, and relatively slow. For those mutated ancient creatures, they are moving giant food, without the ability to even escape.
Anyway, Fang Yun had never seen a blue whale since waking up.
There are countless ancient creatures in the ocean. While Fang Yun was wandering in the ocean he saw various creatures from different eras, half of which he didn't recognize.
For example, a few days ago, he saw a huge shrimp.
According to the system's prompt, that shrimp is a creature that lived in the Devonian era. Although it's quite small compared to other ancient creatures, compared to the few centimeters long shrimps, that Devonian era shrimp is a colossus, more than 2 meters long.
This huge and strange shrimp provided Fang Yun with 800 bio-energy points.
Along the way, he hunted a lot of prey, and now his bio-energy has accumulated to 720,000 points. About 1.8 million points remain for his next evolution.
"Oh?"
Fang Yun suddenly stopped moving. He looked in a certain direction, in which he smelled a familiar smell.
"The smell of blood."
Fang Yun carefully sensed the electromagnetic waves in that direction.
"There is a creature hunting?"
He paused, twisted his body, then swam over there. About two kilometers away, he saw a huge figure.
It's an ancient creature about 10 meters long, with a darker color on the back and a silverish color on the abdomen.
Its head and neck look like a bare exoskeleton, making it look very intimidating.
While examining this fish, the system's prompt sounded in his mind.
"Target locked, Dunkleosteus, Placodermi, Dunleosteidae, can provide 12,000 bio-energy points."
Hearing the system's prompt tone, Fang Yun looked surprised.
He knows some information about the Dunkleosteus. This creature was the largest marine predator in the Devonian era. It has an amazing bite force. It's the prehistoric fish with the largest bite force.
No wonder this fish can provide 12,000 bio-energy points despite being only 10 meters long. It was the top predator of its era.
Without the slightest hesitation, Fang Yun instantly sprang on it, intending to eat this guy as a snack.
The Dunkleosteus was tearing apart a great white shark not far ahead. Feeling the weird fluctuation in the water, it looked back at the source of the fluctuations.
It saw that a giant creature was quickly approaching it.
If it's still in the Devonian period, it will rush towards the attacker without hesitation and teach him why it's called the hegemon of the ocean.
Unfortunately, the situation is quite special right now.
More importantly, it didn't grow in the Devonian era, but in the world on the other side of the space channel.
In that ecosystem, it can only serve as a creature at the bottom of the food chain. The only thing that allowed it to survive until now is the vigilance it exercised, so the moments it saw Fang Yun, it quickly slipped away without looking back.
Unfortunately, its speed was not as fast as Fang Yun's. In less than half a minute, this Dunkleosteus was entangled by Fang Yun. Relying on his power that is able to overturn warships, he crushed it to death, then swallowed it.
After swallowing the Dunkleosteus, Fang Yun continued to search for his next prey.
..........
While Fang Yun was hunting vigorously, trying to meet the evolution requirement as soon as possible. The human world was boiling because of one thing.
It wasn't about the 'Bald Eagle country' catching or killing the super Mosasaurus.
Although the government of the 'Bald Eagle' country just assured their people that they will arrest the super Mosasaurus and bring it to justice. The world wasn't boiling because of this.
The government of the 'Bald Eagle' country hasn't caught the super Mosasaurus yet.
To be precise, since the super Mosasaurus attacked Virginia beach, it hasn't been seen by anyone. No one knew where it is.
The reason why human society is boiling this time is that someone found the Kraken that has disappeared for two months.
The place where it was found was in the Antarctic sea, far away from the Pacific.
How did this guy get there? What has happened to the Serpent?
This is everyone's question.
Its appearance also made the fishermen in the countries on the North Pacific coast let out a sigh of relief. They finally won't have to worry about that monster attacking them.
Although it's a pity that the Kraken hasn't died, but now that it has appeared in the Antarctic, far away from the Pacific, they won't have to worry about it attacking them while fishing.
Other people have a different concern, now that the Kraken has appeared, what about the Serpent? Has it died?
