Chapter 155: Catching the Python
🕑 Added 2020-01-10 18:47:32 +0000 UTCIn a military base near the sea, several officers stepped out of a square building.
There were exactly ten. Nine of them were wearing specially made clothes, and the remaining one was wearing an ordinary military uniform. He stood solemnly in the middle of the line.
He looked to be the commander of these people.
"Charlie, remember, don't be reckless. If you were to injure that giant python, then these old science people will smash your face with their canes."
The commander said to a man next to him with a smile, then patted all of the nine people's shoulders and smiled at them.
"Come on, go now! You have to intercept that big guy before he goes back to the ocean."
"The base will transmit real-time information to you. Remember, you need to trap it, drag it into the Bolile Sea, then give it to the warships patrolling there."
"Understood, sir."
Nine soldiers performed a military salute to their leader, then walked into the three helicopters in front of them in a group of three.
After boarding the helicopter, several people made a gesture to the commander on the square, followed by the roar of the helicopter engine.
"Boom Boom Boom"
The helicopter's propellers spun up at a high speed, creating a large gust of wind, blowing the dust on the ground.
The man standing on the square took a few steps back, then seriously stared at his subordinates.
Under his sight, the three helicopters slowly took off, then disappeared into the distance.
Fang Yun was swimming leisurely underwater. Due to his large body, even if he swam at the depth of ten meters, a long shadow can still be seen on the water surface.
This is the second day since he left his habitat on that desert island.
During this period, he has crossed more than 300 miles. That's without mentioning that he wasn't focused on the road, but went to the shore from time to time to catch prey.
However, he didn't bother catching those small creatures, he focused mostly on the large ones.
Crocodiles, leopards, lions, or even passing elephants or giraffes.
His bio-energy has surpassed 100,000 and almost reached 200,000 points.
It's worth mentioning that his reputation has skyrocketed.it has long surpassed 500 million, almost reaching 600 million. One thing that caught his attention is the evaluation behind the main mission. It has been A level since he reached 100 million. After he reached 500 million, it became S level.
Although he is not sure what is this task score about. The higher it is the better it would be for him. Perhaps it's about his next mission?
Shifting his attention from the task score to the reputation value. Fang Yun watched as it increased crazily. He can imagine what kind of sensation he has caused in the human world based on just his reputation alone.
"Splash!"
Fang Yun poked his head out of the water and looked around. The water, in the river he is in, is very calm. More importantly, he could see that the width of the river is increasing not far ahead.
Fang Yun was keenly aware of the salty and humid breeze that is coming from the front.
He is close to the sea.
Fang Yun got slightly excited. He fiercely plunged underwater. Swaying his tail, he quickly rushed forward.
However, after crossing more than 10km, he suddenly stopped.
Above him, a loud roaring noise sounded, looking up, he discovered that three helicopters are quickly approaching him.
"Helicopter"
Fang Yun was surprised.
"Are they passing by or are they here for me?"
Subconsciously, Fang Yun wanted to hide underwater.
However, He is currently in a river. Although it's quite close to the sea, it's not very deep after all. It wouldn't play any hiding effect for him.
Moreover, if these people come for him, they will definitely have some special equipment, such as a sonar detector.
He can't hide even if he wanted to.
Thinking of this, Fang Yun dispelled his hiding thoughts and swam boldly on the water surface.
"Charlie, we have sent you the satellite images, do you see the shadow on the river?"
The voice of the commander sounded from Charlie's headset.
Charlie is now controlling the helicopter.
From time to time, he looked at the instrument panel in front of him. After hearing the voice of the sergeant, he immediately replied.
"I see it, sir."
On the display in front of him, there is the image of a large river, with the long shadow in the middle being the most conspicuous.
"Okay, guys, get ready. We're going to start the operation"
Charlie manipulated the helicopter to hover above the river. By now, they could already see the long shadow with their naked eyes.
"It's really a big guy."
Charlie tilted his head and glanced from the window towards the long shadow underwater, then said to the copilot next to him.
"This giant animal is quite bold. It's not scared by the sound of the helicopter at all."
After saying that to the copilot, he clicked on his headset a few times, seemingly wanting to change channels.
"Roger, Dunn, we are going to use the anesthetic gun to stop it from moving. Your job is to bind this giant python with the prepared nets."
"Understand."
"Understand."
Hearing the sound coming from the headset, Charlie licked his lips, then slowly lower the helicopter height. After reached a certain height, he said to the man in the back of the helicopter.
"John, get ready. We're going to begin."
"OK."
The young man in black called John made an ok gesture, then walked to the helicopter's hatch with an anesthetic gun. He tied a safety rope around his waist, then walked to the open hatch.
He aimed the anesthetic gun in his hand straight at the long shadow below.
"Charlie, lower the helicopter a bit."
While aiming, John said this to Charlie. The moment he said that. The height of the helicopter was lowered by 2 meters.
By now, the helicopter is only about 7 to 8 meters above the river surface. The huge winds created big waves on the water surface.
While Charlie was lowering the helicopter towards the water, the other two helicopters flew parallel to them. They were at a much higher altitude though.
The crew members of both helicopters were watching Charlie's actions from the sidelines.
Feeling that it's almost time, John narrowed his eyes and decisively shot the long shadow with the anesthetic gun.
"BOOM!"
A huge needle tube was fired from the gun and shot landed straight on the black shadow underwater.
He aimed at the tail of the python, to avoid accidentally killing it due to the huge thrust of the needle tube.
"Oh"
Fang Yun was focusing on the helicopters above while swimming. The moment John attacked him, he reacted. However, he didn't bother dodging, he doesn't think that his reaction ability is strong enough to dodge bullets, especially underwater with his huge body.
He doesn't really care about the needle tube hitting him.
"Clang!"
The needle tube hit his scale armor, creating a crisp sound, and causing Fang Yun's muscles to slightly tremble. This needle tube has a strong propulsion force. It was designed specifically to anesthetize animals underwater.
So it has quite a strong penetration ability. It needs to be strong enough to overcome the water resistance.
However, just breaking the water resistance is not enough. Fang Yun's scale armor has become incredibly hard after the enhancement of "Skin Resistance" and "Steel Body".
"Steel Body" after being maxed has specially raised his defense to an unholy level.
Even without the water resistance, this anesthetic needle can't penetrate his defenses.
Fang Yun glanced up at the sky. This is already the second helicopter group in the last few days. The first group was okay, they just wanted to observe him, so he didn't really care about them.
But these few guys don't look like they just want to observe him.
They want to catch him
Aversion rose in Fang Yun's heart and he couldn't help but get angry.
However, he continued to move forward steadily. On the surface, he looked oblivious to the attack of these guys.
"Did I miss?"
Seeing that shadow continued moving forward without any action, John frowned. He wondered whether he missed or not.
"Charlie, go down a bit."
John cursed under his beath.
"Shit, I missed it."
The helicopter dropped another meter. John raised his anesthetic gun and aimed at the shadow underwater.
This time, however, he put down the anesthetic gun in his hand. He looked down with wide eyes, a look of horror appearing on his face.
"Charlie!!"
He yelled, "Up! Up!"
"Hurry and bring the helicopter up!"
"Shit!"
"Hurry up!"
Under his horror-filled cries, the dark shadow that underwater quickly rose to the surface.
"Splash!"
The water surface broke and the huge python quickly approached the helicopter with wide-open mouth.
