Chapter 140: Terrifying Creature
🕑 Added 2019-12-15 14:06:44 +0000 UTC"Ha ha ha, we were so lucky this time, we caught two humpback whales at once!"
On the deck, Taro Noda laughed happily. As a crew member, he will naturally feel happier the more bountiful their harvest is. That would mean more profits after they return to the shore.
Yoshida next to him was also extremely excited. He has already begun to calculate how much money these two whales will bring them.
After a rough calculation, he looked even happier.
He felt that going on the island Maru was his luck.
It wasn't just Taro Noda and Yoshida Masao who were excited, the other seafarers on the dock looked equally excited. More whales mean more money for them, how could they not be happy.
None of them cared about the heartbreaking sight on the sea, not even the newbie Yoshida. At this moment, they have only money on their minds.
The little humpback whale still didn't leave. It whined sadly while nudging its mother.
Suddenly, a crew member lowered the speedboats on the sea.
"They are going to tow the humpback whale."
Taro Noda laughed. He is very familiar with the process of whaling, they had done this many times before. They will first strike the whale with the harpoon, then drag it to the ship;
After the whale was dragged to the ship, they will dismember it and put every part in its place. Now they have to deal with the small whale first.
Five speedboats sped out towards the small whale. Yoshida noticed that there are two people on each speedboat, one is responsible for driving and the other is holding a gun.
There is an iron hook in the gun's barrel. The end of the hook is a straight iron barb, surrounded by four curved hooks.
Its shape resembles that of a chandelier.
not long after, the first speedboat reached the two humpback whales. When they passed by the small whale, the guy holding the gun didn't hesitate to shoot at it.
"bam!"
The seaman's body shook fiercely, almost falling on the ground due to the recoil. The hook originally in the barrel also headed straight towards the small whale.
"Boom!"
The hook completely penetrated the small whale's flesh, leaving only the tip out.
The small humpback whale cried in pain and wanted to run away, but at this moment, several other speedboats reached the shooting range.
As each speedboat passed by the small whale, they will shoot a hook, penetrating the small whale with many spears; According to the number and arrangement of the hooks, the small whale must have felt an unimaginable pain.
The small humpback whale cried even more loudly. It rolled on the water, struggling to get the hook outside of it. Its blood dyed the surrounding waters red.
After struggling for a while, the small whale stopped moving, lying quietly beside its mother.
"Yeahhh!!"
The five speedboats stopped moving, and the seafarers above them were waving their hands and loudly celebrating.
"Very Good!"
On the deck, Yoshida clapped excitedly after seeing their success. He and Naro Toda looked at each other, they saw the excitement in each other's eyes.
"Ha ha ha, Yoshida! get ready, they'll drag the whale over right away."
Hearing Taro Noda's words, Yoshida nodded seriously. Just as he was about to pick his tools, his hands froze;
"That is……"
He quickly ran to the side of the ship and stared at the five speedboats, or rather behind them, with wide eyes.
"Yoshida, What's Wron ..."
Seeing the horror on Yoshida's face, Noda looked confused. He looked in the direction Yoshida was looking at, and his eyes also widened in shock. His legs softened and he almost fell to the ground.
"Wha ... what the hell is that!"
Noda Taro's eyes were about to pop out. He opened his mouth and couldn't make a sound for a while, he took a deep breath, exhausted all his strength and shouted loudly.
On the deck, the others didn't ask Taro Noda why did he shout, they also discovered the thing on the sea, all of them looked at the sea with mouth wide open, and eyes filled with fright.
"Escape!"
"Run!"
"Damn, what the hell is that!"
"Oh my God!"
All of the crew members shouted wildly, the island Maru was filled with an atmosphere of fear and terror.
"what?"
The sailors on the speedboats looked confused, they all looked at the island Maru and the crew there with a look of confusion, wondering why did these guys suddenly go crazy.
"Underwater! Underwater!"
Yoshida Masaichi on the deck took a deep breath and yelled over there: "Run! Run!"
After hearing Yoshida's yelling, the seafarers on the five speedboats looked behind them and they almost fainted.
They could see that behind them, a huge shadow has appeared behind them, even the big whale only cover a small portion of that creature, and it's heading towards them.
Its whole body was dark brown in color; Its huge head is over 5 meters in diameter, but what's the scariest about it is its huge teeth and vicious expression.
During the ascent of this big fish, it opened its huge mouth and swallowed a speedboat and the two people on it whole.
"Run away! Quickly!"
Yoshida Masaichi leaned on the side of the ship, he was yelling so loudly, his voice became hoarse, but he still continued yelling.
Unfortunately, it's too late.
Despite his loud yelling, a tragedy still happened in front of him.
