Chapter 127: Shocked Ham
🕑 Added 2019-11-29 22:25:53 +0000 UTCHam swam forward like a fish. To be honest, he is a little nervous, he had never been so close to the trench before.
By now, he is already about 200 meters away from the trench, which is already very close.
The water depth in this area reached 15 meters, so he can't see the water floor as clearly as before.
Not far ahead, Lehman also stopped. It can be seen that he doesn't have the courage to get as close as 100 meters to the trench.
There is an undercurrent activity deep in the trench. If they get too close, they might just happen to encounter an undercurrent, sucking them into the trench. That's basically a death sentence.
Of course, this chance is very small.
With the guidance of their elders as well as their own experience, they have long understood the law of the undercurrent erupting. Undercurrents erupt at certain intervals, there is still some time from the next eruption.
However, who knows what can happen in the future. Even if they know that the undercurrent is unlikely to erupt, they still didn't dare to get too close to the trench.
Ham squinting as he looked underwater, he widened his eyes as much as possible, trying to spot some beautiful shell or pearl underwater.
He tightened a bag in his hands. It's a bag made of fishing nets. He is going to put the discovered treasures in it.
Ham wandered in this area, constantly looking around. Suddenly his eyes brightened.
Underwater, he saw a colorful Conch, very beautiful and colorful. This type of Conch is actually quite uncommon.
"Sure enough, good things can only be seen here."
The moment he saw this conch, Ham decided to take it, sticking his head out of the water, he took a deep breath, filling the exhalation tube with oxygen, then resolutely dived underwater.
Ham swiftly swam towards the ocean floor, reaching the beautiful Conch, he grabbed it and quickly swam back to the surface.
"Hahh!"
Ham stuck his head out of the water and took a deep breath, diving to the ocean floor and swimming back to the surface this quickly caused a lot of pressure on his body.
But on his face, there wasn't the slightest bit of discomfort, just excitement.
He raised the Conch in his right hand, bringing it above his head. He watched as the conch reflected the sunlight, making it look very beautiful and shiny, causing a smile to creep on his face.
"Kofi will definitely love it."
Ham thought happily. He put the conch in the fishing net bag, then continued exploring the water.
Over the next period of time, he found several beautiful shells, causing his bag to become quite heavy.
"I need to find either a pearl or a purple shell."
Ham wasn't reconciled. He had already explored this area, but he still didn't find any pearl or purple shell. He got increasingly agitated as time passed.
His gaze was suddenly attracted by something and his heart couldn't help but tighten.
"That is……"
Not far away, on the ocean floor, there is a raised stone. This raised stone is only 7 to 8meters away from the surface, but it's quite close to the trench.
What attracted him wasn't this raised stone, but the beige clam on top of it.
That clam was opening its shell slightly, revealing a bit of brilliance.
Ham's eyes were glued to the clam, his heart filled with excitement. Suddenly the clam seemed to feel the abnormal water flow, causing it to quickly close its shell.
"Is there a pearl inside?"
He was a bit entangled on what to do, that claim is too close to the trench, it's too dangerous.
He stuck his head out of the water and looked around, he quickly noticed his friends not far away.
The friends not far away seemed to give him a certain amount of courage. He took a deep breath and with a look of determination, he sank back underwater
Kicking his legs, he quickly rushed towards the clam below.
Ham was getting closer and closer to the clam, and his heart was filled with excitement. "Is there really a pearl in it? It looks like a golden pearl."
Just as he was about 10 meters away from the clam, a few seconds away from getting it. From the corner of his eyes, he noticed that something immerged from the trench.
He stopped abruptly, then looked over there, his eyes wide from surprise.
In the dark bottomless ditch, a shark with a grey-brown back and white belly suddenly emerged from there.
However, He didn't stop because of this shark. Sharks are not unusual creatures to him. They encountered them many times while playing in the sea. Small sharks like these have quite low aggression to people and aren't very dangerous.
What really scared him was the sight behind the shark.
He seemed to see that a very large creature was chasing the shark, but now that he looked back, he couldn't see anything unusual.
"Illusion?"
Looking back at that place, he didn't find any monster or giant black shadow, just as he was confused. The shark swam back to the trench.
However, at this moment, something came out of the reef, bit the shark with one bite and pulled it back under the reef.
"That is……"
Ham's heart tightened, goosebumps filled his skin and fear filled his heart. All of this caused him to lose control, he subconsciously opened his mouth, causing him to swallow water.
Ham suddenly reacted and hurriedly swam back to the surface,
"Cough! Cough."
He gasped for breath and spat out the water in his mouth. It didn't take long for Ham to calm down. He thought of the previous giant shadow and chills filled his body. At the same time, he was very confused.
Did a giant monster truly drag the shark back to the trench or did the shark actively dive into the reef?
He was too far apart, so he couldn't accurately see what actually happened.
After thinking for a while, he sank back underwater and looked at the trench. That place is still dark and very quiet. The shark had disappeared, maybe it had entered the trench, or ...
Ham tried hard to remember what exactly happened, trying to reproduce the previous scene in his mind, but he discovered that he couldn't do, as nothing really happened.
"That was probably just hallucinations."
Although he thought of that, he still didn't dare to stay in this place for a long time, he has the feeling that something in that trench is watching him.
"Right, The golden pearl."
Ham suddenly remembered this. He stuck his head back underwater and looked at the stone on which the clam is on.
He discovered that clam was no longer on the stone, but slowly slid down towards the trench on the other side. It landed on a slope then, slowly rolled toward the trench.
