Chapter 143: Are There Monsters In The Sea?
🕑 Added 2019-12-18 23:36:07 +0000 UTCWhile Fang Yun was wandering in that area. Nick, Ham and the rest of the crew hurried back to "Horseshoe island" and informed the villagers about the sea monster they encountered on their journey.
Not surprisingly, it caused an uproar in the village.
The people who were preparing to go fishing in the sea gave up on going, and the families of the people who had already gone to the sea became very worried.
After telling the villagers about the monster, he didn't sit still. He went straight to Alsa, which is the city that governs their village.
He is going to report their meeting with a sea monster. Although he doesn't know if it's useful whether the police know it or not, he still has to report such matters.
Many cruises, fishing ships, and freighters pass by the area where they met the sea monster. Fishermen often go fishing there.
A sea monster living there is like a knife hanging on their neck.
The sea monster they encountered before was after the fish in their fishing nets. It must have felt full after eating all of the fish there, so it left without attacking them.
This is the only reason they could think of why didn't the monster attack them.
However, next time, they may not have such luck. If they encounter a hungry sea monster, then they will probably become the target of the hungry monster.
He didn't think that the boat could protect them from the beginning to the end. That monster is even bigger than their boat.
Unfortunately, the local police station didn't take him seriously. Even under his adamant request and the confirmation of his crew, the police station only sent a maritime police ship to do a routine inspection, making nick very angry.
What Nick was thinking about is that the police use some methods to catch that python, such as using food lures.
Now that the police station just sent a maritime police ship to go patrol. He can guess that they are taking him as a fool.
However, in the face of his questioning and his angry protests, the police asked him one thing, a simple but deadly question. "Do you have any evidence?"
Nick doesn't have much evidence, just a broken fishing net that can't prove anything.
They can't send many people to deal with this matter that is likely to be a farce. The police station doesn't have so many idlers.
Hitting the wall in Alsa city. what made Nick even more disheartened is that after they returned to "Horseshoe Island" they were questioned by the people here.
The questions he received were basically the same as that of the police station.
At the same time, people who went to the sea with Nick returned one after the other. After hearing the news about Nick meeting a sea monster, they burst into laughter;
Most of the people ridiculed Nick for his stupid claims.
"Sea monster?"
"That's just a fictional creature. Even if there are sea monsters, the brave fisherman of our Horseshoe island won't be afraid of it."
This is what the spoiled brat Lehman said, "If I see a sea monster, I will definitely use my harpoon to kill it, then bring it back for everyone to enjoy!"
Lehman was standing in the middle of the crowd, tilting his head up and proudly saying this.
"Hahaha."
This is everyone's response to his remarks. In such a burst of laughter, everyone's fear of sea monsters gradually disappeared. Their questioning and ridicule for Nick also grew further.
Nick and the rest of the crew stood not far away, hearing the bragging of that kid, Lehman, they couldn't help but sneer. If that kid were to see that sea monster, it would be good if he didn't piss his pants.
Ham was especially angry. Looking at Lehman in the middle of the crowd, he clenched his fist. Young children like him can't stand being ridiculed. Especially from his rival.
More importantly, he saw that Kofi, who has been enthusiastically talking with him about monsters two days ago, was standing next to Lahman and looking at him with disdain.
While Nick was facing all kinds of doubts, the next thing that happened surprised everyone.
Nick was finally able to breathe, as the doubts about him have decreased a lot.
Everyone was previously skeptical about Nick's story, but after this incident, they started to panic.
Is there really a sea monster hidden in the sea?

Hi everyone. I think that I have to apologize for this short chapter, I'm not sure why though. This novel's chapters are usually around 1200 and 1500 words, sometimes even more, but in the last few chapters, I noticed that some are very short, just like this one. Like between 700 and 900 words, which I think is unfair to you. I don't have much time to translate every day, but if I find 2 consecutive chapters with a short length, I'll try to translate and post them on the same day. This is the only thing I can do, so sorry again. Have a nice day.
