Chapter 125: Juvenile Ham
🕑 Added 2019-11-26 21:42:17 +0000 UTCThe reason why Fang Yun decided to stay in this place is because of the large amount of prey here.
He saw a lot of catfish in this place, without mentioning the large variety of other fish.
He even saw several sharks.
According to the system's prompt, these sharks are called whitetip sharks, the largest of which was only two meters, but maybe because of their high position on the biological chain, they provided a lot of bio-energy points.
A single two-meter-long whitetip shark can provide 1,200 bio-energy points. This is already very good compared to some fish of the same size that provides only a few hundred points
At that time, he hunted a whitetip shark to check its taste. He wasn't really focused on hunting at that time, so he didn't pursue the remaining sharks.
While observing the number of prey in this area, Fang Yun also found a suitable place to live in.
It's an uninhabited desert island, with a quite large area and very lush vegetation, even with his large body shape, the dense vegetation can still easily cover him.
Another point worth noting is that this uninhabited desert island is very remote, with the closest island to it being a particularly small island, even smaller than the one Fang Yun saw at the beginning.
The distance between them is almost 100 kilometers.
For the small island, Fang Yun called it "xiaodao", because it's the smallest island he saw until now. Not far from "xiaodao" is a particularly large island.
There is a village on this large island, and Fang Yun saw a sign on the seashore on which "Horseshoe island" was written.
This name is quite appropriate, the shape of this island is indeed like a horseshoe.
Fang Yun often swam to the side of "Horseshoe" Island. This place has the most number of fish in this area. Even the whitetip shark was found by Fang Yun here.
Today he came here again and started hunting again.
At noon, the sun was very hot and scorching.
However, Fang Yun stayed about 30 meters below the sea surface and did not feel how hot the weather was, not that he would feel it if he was on the water surface either.
He was wandering in the waters between xiaodao island and horseshoe island. Currently, he is looking at the coral reef in front of him.
From this coral reef, he could see fish swimming back and forth, most of which are groupers.
Groupers are very recognizable. Their scales are brightly colored, often red and brown, and have either streaks or spots.
Their stripes and spots provide excellent camouflage to them. If they stay motionless beside the reef, it's difficult to find them.
However, this does not pose any problem to Fang Yun. Relying on his tongue, he can easily find them, no matter how good is their camouflage.
He wandered around this area, eating about a hundred groupers, and gaining more than 3,000 bio-energy point.
Immediately afterward, he shifted his position and advanced towards "Horseshoe" Island.
Between xiaodao and Horseshoe Island, the depth of the seawater is relatively shallow, and many places are only tens of meters deep, but near the horseshoe island, there is a trench-shaped area, about 300 meters wide, shaped like a circle.
This trench is very deep. Fang Yun estimates that it's about 700 to 800m deep. There are many large animals living inside of it.
The whitetip shark he saw before came out of this trench. In addition, he also saw a big turtle while wandering there.
Although Fang Yun's teeth are very hard and sharp right now, he still can't break the defense of the turtle's shell. If he wants to swallow the turtle, he has to bite its head while it's still outside, then swallow it and digest it with his powerful digestive ability.
Of course, he can swallow it directly, but this a bit dangerous, and he doesn't want to have a living turtle wandering in his belly.
Fang Yun swam toward the trench, then entered it and began hunting the animals there.
While Fang Yun entered the trench to hunt, a group of teens were playing together on the shore of Horseshoe Island. They were all 13 or 14 years old, with a total of seven people.
They are currently hiding in the shade, a fire was burning in front of him.
Each child held a wooden stick in his hand, and a fish was interspersed with it.
These fish were caught from the sea. This is nothing to children like them who grew on the seaside. They would learn to catch fish and use nets at a very young age.
They can even directly jump into the ocean and catch fish with their hands.
Ham has done this several times before.
The last time he caught fish with his hands was last year, when he was 13 years old.
He is 14 years old this year, just recently graduated from the only school on the island, but he is not planning to leave horseshoe island and go to higher learning institutions.
Most of the children of fishermen like him don't want to get higher learning opportunities. After graduating from the school on the island, most of them are already 13 or 14 years old, which is considered an adult in Robles.
Most of the boys follow the adults to go fishing, while the women follow their mother to learn how to weave fishing nets and prepare for marriage.
Ham doesn't know when he will go to sea. His father has not been home for ten days since he went to sea last month.
After his father returns, he will have to discuss this matter with him. When will he hold his adulthood ceremony, when will be his official trip to the sea.
"Kofi, was the pearl on your neck given to you by Lehman?"
While Ham was deep in his thoughts, a sunny teen beside him suddenly asked a young girl sitting opposite to Ham, he was looking straight at the girl's neck.
Around the young girl's neck, there is a pink pearl the size of a thumb, which looks particularly beautiful.
"Yes, Nadal, do you want to send me a pearl?" The girl named Kofi looked at Nadal with an expectant look.
Nadal hurriedly shook his head. "I'm not Lehman. I heard that he found this pearl near the Belva trench. Is it true?"
"of course."
A tall boy on Kofi's right side nodded proudly, "At that time I was only 100 meters away from that trench, I obtained this pearl after a lot of risks."
"Lehman, you are so brave!"
Nadal gave Lehman a thumbs up and then looked at Kofi. "Kofi, Lehman gave you such a beautiful pearl. Are you going to marry him?"
Hearing this question, the five boys in the group looked at the girl named Kofi.
The same goes for Ham.
However, compared to these guys who only want to hear gossip, Ham looked uneasy. No one here knows that he likes Kofi.
Because they grew up together, he had some thoughts about Kofi early, and the latter also grew more and more beautiful with each day. Her thick lips looked particularly sexy.
More importantly, compared with other girls, Kofi is more delicate, just like the girls he saw in the city.
He dreams of marrying Kofi every day, but he knows that he is delusional. Even in this small group, he isn't the only one that loves Kofi.
Lehman is also one of her pursuers, otherwise, he would not give Kofi such a beautiful pearl.
Compared with Lehman, he is shorter, uglier and weaker than him. Even Lehman's family is richer and more influential than his. That's without mentioning that Lehman is just one of Kofi's many pursuers, compared to them, he is very lackluster.
Lehman was also looking at Kofi with a look of anticipation.
Being watched by so many people, Kofi frowned slightly, her face was filled with unhappiness. Suddenly, the girl sitting next to her spoke up.
"Lehman can't marry Kofi now, he hasn't even held the adulthood ceremony yet."
