Chapter 92: Annoying Cheetahs
🕑 Added 2019-10-26 18:26:24 +0000 UTC
The lion king, Lei Bai, walked to the side after eating with his children. After that, the five lionesses came to the remains of the wildebeest and began to eat.
The hyena group stared at lions for a few minutes, then turned around and left.
The camouflaged camera that was monitoring the hyena group slowly followed their movements.
Not long after, the lions returned to their habitats, making this area look much more deserted than before. The only remaining predator in this place is Fang Yun.
"Splash"
Seeing that his entertainment has disappeared. He slowly sank underwater, then swam towards a wildebeest that was drinking water in the distance.
The wildebeest was leisurely drinking water, without finding that danger is quickly approaching it.
"Bang!"
The calm surface of the water was suddenly broken, and a huge figure quickly jumped out of the water. Without having any chance to react, the wildebeest was bitten in the neck and dragged underwater.
The wildebeest struggled wildly, but it didn't amount to anything. Fang Yun quickly wrapped around it and began to constrict, squeezing the air in the wildebeest lungs and crushing its bones.
Not even a minute later, it has completely stopped struggling, lying powerlessly on the river ground.
After killing the wildebeest, Fang Yun dragged it to the shore then swallowed it.
The wildebeest group not far away were shocked by the huge size of Fang Yun, scaring them to quickly run away. Only after getting very far from the river did they turn around and watch him from afar.
The wildebeest group didn't care that much about their companion, that is being swallowed by Fang Yun, as they quickly stopped watching and began to eat the grass on the ground.
Fang Yun needs to eat a large amount of prey every day, so relying on his power and size, he occupied a very large area for his daily hunting.
However, under his very frequent and continuous hunting, the wildebeest and other animals that came to drink from the river became very vigilant. Not only that, but they are also decreasing every day.
Therefore, Fang Yun can only go back to hunting crocodiles. He already ate all the crocodiles in this area, so he often has to go to places that are more than 10 km away to find them.
The average adult crocodile can provide 2000 bio-energy points to Fang Yun. He is also very experienced when it comes to hunting crocodiles, so he hunts at least 10 crocodiles every day.
Sometimes, a crocodile group consisting of dozens of crocodiles is decimated by him in a day.
His territory is becoming larger and larger by each day. The crocodiles were terrified by Fang Yun to move to escape even farther.
In addition to the crocodile group fleeing, the wildebeest group is also migrating to the distance.
Seeing this, Fang Yun can only reduce his ambush-style hunting and actively hunt like he used to do in the jungle.
He leisurely slithered on the ground, following the traveling wildebeest group.
The wildebeest group kept getting bigger and bigger, as time passed.
They seem to be migrating, so maybe not long after, no wildebeest will remain here.
Occasionally, Fang Yun will meet with the top predators in the vicinity, but there has never been a conflict between them. Fang Yun's size is just too intimidating. They will usually flee the moment they see him.
But, there are exceptions.
There are always some creatures that are very confident about themselves.
Fang Yun slowly got out of the water and slithered to the wildebeest group. He slowly examined the entire group before eventually stopping on a wildebeest that just gave birth.
A small wildebeest was slowly walking behind its mother, stumbling from time to time.
However, this mother and child didn't notice a giant creature, that was completely blended into the environment, was slowly approaching them.
When the distance between them was about ten meters, Fang Yun immediately sprung like an arrow, quickly jumping toward the wildebeest mother.
The mother wildebeest quickly responded, slamming her legs on the ground, she quickly ran away, leaving her child behind.
Perhaps because she isn't completely heartless, while running away, she couldn't help but look back to see her child. She saw that a giant python has emerged from mid-air and quickly slithered towards her, colliding with her child on the way and sending him flying.
The little wildebeest screamed mid-air then landed on the ground.
This caused the wildebeest mother to anxiously scream. However, she still didn't stop running. After all, the python was quickly slithering towards it.
The scared wildebeest mother ran even faster, not even daring to run back to her child.
Adults wildebeest are known as a quick and long-lasting runner. Their average speed is about 80 km/h, and they can keep this speed for a rather long time.
However, Fang Yun's speed is even faster, and due to him being very close to the wildebeest mother from the beginning, this chase didn't last for a long time. He caught up with her in less than 5 minutes before bitting her legs.
The wildebeest mother has wanted to break away, but Fang Yun's sharp teeth have sunk deep in her flesh.
After fixing this wildebeest, Fang Yun quickly wrapped around her and began to constrict, making it very difficult for her to breathe.
Just as he wanted to constrict even further and break her bones, he noticed three creatures slowly approaching the little wildebeest in the distance.
It's a small cheetah team.
Seeing this, Fang Yun quickly injected his venom into the wildebeest mother before releasing her and quickly slithering towards the three cheetahs.
The cheetahs were scared to run away, after seeing that Fang Yun is coming back.
However, after running to a distance of 100 meters, they stopped and looked at Fang Yun from the distance.
They don't seem to be willing to leave like this.
Fang Yun looked at them, then swallowed the little wildebeest. Returning to the wildebeest mother, that already died. He didn't swallow her as he used to do but used the same method as most animals in this prairie do, using his sharp teeth to tear big chunks of meat, then eating them
However, after eating more than half of it, he turned around and left, as if giving up the rest of the wildebeest corpse.
Seeing that the giant python left, the three cheetahs approached the wildebeest body with vigilance, preparing to eat the body that was discarded by Fang Yun.
However, Fang Yun didn't really leave. He slithered to a distance of 100 meters before stopping. Lying quietly on the ground, he occasionally glanced at the cheetah group.
This is not the first time that Cheetahs have harassed him.
Every time he hunts extra prey, he gets harassed by that cheetah group.
He is going to give them an unforgettable lesson today.
His goal is to kill at least one cheetah this time.
The small cheetah team didn't leave their sight from Fang Yun, seeing that he is quietly lying in that place, probably resting, they gradually let go of their guard and started eating the wildebeest body.
One of them was bitting on a big bone, intending to drag this wildebeest body away.
Cheetahs usually take their prey's body to a safe place before eating it. This one wants to do exactly that.
However, what the three cheetahs did not find was that the giant python was slowly approaching them.
Fang Yun is using his camouflage skill to slowly approach this cheetah group, intending to teach them a lesson.
Thirty meters away, Fang Yun tightened his muscles.

get the sleep you need
Hmm, I'm really embarrassed to say this, but it looks like I won't be able to post that extra chapter today. I just managed to translate half of it, but I truly can't complete it. I'm very sleep deficient these days, so I can't concentrate on working. The half that I already translated is full of mistakes and it only gets worse as I write more. I'm going to have a good night of sleep, and I will give you two chapters tomorrow. Sorry again for letting you down.
I will post another chapter a bit later, in compensation for not posting one yesterday.
