Chapter 82: Arriving in the Prairie
🕑 Added 2019-10-11 19:11:22 +0000 UTC
Fang Yun's wrapped around the gazelle and used his huge muscle power to directly crush it.
At the same time, he couldn't help but remember the time his teeth penetrated the gazelle's flesh.
The skin of this gazelle is much more tough than the animals he killed in the mountain forest previously, such as the goat and goral.
“It seems that the animals in this prairie are more powerful than the animals in other places.”
After reaching this conclusion, Fang Yun prepared to swallow this gazelle.
However, he suddenly stopped and turned around.
He saw that not far ahead, two big creatures are slowly walking towards him.
These two creatures have short limbs like crocodiles, a dragon-shaped head and a body length of about 3 meters. They are constantly flicking their tongues as they slowly approached him.
"This is...a komodo dragon?"
After seeing these two creatures' appearance, Fang Yun was surprised. At the same time, the system's prompt sounded in his mind.
"Target locked, Komodo dragon, reptile, lizard, can provide 2000 bio-energy point."
When he heard the system's prompt, Fang Yun knew he was right.
In his previous world, Komodo dragons can only be found on some islands, so he was surprised at their presence. But after thinking about it, this is another world, so it's not unusual that they are in a prairie. It's just the fact that both worlds are very similar that made him somewhat confused.
"Are these two guys trying to snatch my prey?"
Looking at the approaching Komodo dragons, Fang Yun’s hissed at them threateningly, trying to drive them away.
He couldn't help but sigh at the courage of these two guys.
His current length is 15 meters with a thickness bigger than a bucket, truly a shocking sight to behold, but these guys still planned to snatch his prey even after seeing him.
Although they did not take the initiative to attack him, they did not leave either.
Fang Yun guessed that the reason why these two Komodo dragons are so fearless is that they are the hegemons of this area, so they didn't run the first time they saw him.
This notorious creature, few creatures can be their opponents.
When Fang Yun spotted the two Komodo dragons, the reason why he did not rush to attack them is simply that they are too disgusting.
From the mouths of these giant lizards, there is foamy saliva coming out. They also have a very foul smell.
In particular, the act of them occasionally flicking their tongue make the foamy saliva, and mucus in their mouths overflow, which is especially disgusting.
"Hiss."
Fang Yun hissed at the two Komodo dragons, even going as far as to stand up, towering above them. The two giant lizards felt the powerful momentum emanated by Fang Yun, so they slowly retreated, then left this place;
Only after confirming that the two Komodo dragons had gone far did Fang Yun swallow the gazelle.
Fortunately, his body is extremely large so it didn't take long for him to swallow this prey.
He already met big creatures such as the Komodo dragons in the outskirts of the Ugandan Prairie, causing him to look forward to the creatures he will meet later.
Although Fang Yun is very disgusted with Komodo dragons. He felt that they are very dirty and ugly, but he has to admit that they are indeed a top-level predator in this world, especially their ferocious venom.
Their venom toxicity is absolutely one of the top ones in the entire world.
If he met them some time ago, when he wasn't even ten meters long, he will definitely turn around and leave.
This giant lizard saliva is filled with bacteria, plus their top-level venom allows them to kill most prey with a single bite, in a short time.
Fang Yun continued slithering along the river, but he did not stay in the river, he slithered on the shore.
Although he entered the Ugandan Prairie, his destination is not the periphery, but the depth of the prairie, where the prey is the most abundant.
He is planning to follow the river to the depth of the prairie, at the same time he will stay on the shore and hunt from time to time, just to adapt to the environment here.
He slowly crawled on the ground, leaving a huge trail behind him. He no longer hid in the river like before.
This is already a no man's land.
He can stroll on the land without any scruples.
In the sky, the sun is intensely shining, releasing blazing lights and scorching temperatures. The heat is so intense that even light is distorted. This is truly a harsh place for creatures to live in.
"The temperature is quite high, it seems to be the dry season in the prairie."
Fang Yun thought internally.
While other tropical places are divided into four seasons, this place has only a dry season and a rainy season. This time is undoubtedly the dry season.
Fortunately, Fang Yun's resistance to heat is very high, so even temperatures this high have no effect on him.
Not long after, the sky gradually darkened and night fell. The temperature began to drop and the breeze blowing on the grassland became cool and comfortable.
“It looks like animals are becoming more active."
From time to time, Fang Yun spotted animals from afar, most of them were gazelles and zebras.
After the temperature cool down, the animals on the prairie became active, either going out to drink or eat.
Fang Yun leisurely slithered along the river, looking around from time to time, exploring his surroundings. Not long after, he met some giant animals.
An elephant family.
There are thirteen adult elephants and two are young ones in this group. They are moving at a light pace and gradually approaching the river, probably to drink.
When the two sides met, they stopped and looked at each other.
The elephants seemed to be aware that Fang Yun is not a creature that can be irritated, and all looked at him with vigilance, the two young elephants curiously stared at Fang Yun.
But after watching him for a while, they lowered their heads and returned to playing around.
They are playing with their long noses. They probably were born that long ago as they looked very interested in everything.
One of them stood on the edge of the river, slamming its nose on the water and creating large splashes. That small elephant looked very excited.
The other young elephant was stepping on its own nose while struggling to lift its head, looking very funny and adorable.
The two little elephants were playing around with joy and excitement.
After two minutes of confrontation with this group of elephants, Fang Yun took the lead to leave, he turned around and jumped in the river, swimming away.
He was not planning to prey on elephants from the beginning, at least not with his current size.
Additionally, this a large elephant group. Even for the current him, he doesn't think that he will come out unscathed in a fight with them;
If the thirteen elephants go berserk, even he won't be able to stand it. Fang Yun is sure, as long as he showed any aggressive behavior, the thirteen elephants would surely come around to beat him.
This kind of animal has a very high IQ and EQ, as long as it found any danger, it will surely counterattack.
Watching as Fang Yun’s gradually disappeared, the thirteen elephants gradually recovered their sights. Only after making sure that the dangerous creature has left did they go to the river to drink.
