"Professor, it's exactly as you guessed, the big python is moving in this direction."
Hook was squatting next to a bush, looking at the wide trail in front of him, he said with excitement.
Tang Xue who was beside him, was relieved when he heard this.
Some time ago, they found the habitat of the giant python, but after staying there for two days, they did not see the shadow of this python, so Tang Xue decided to follow the trail left by the giant python.
However, this python trail is very random, and its direction is disorganized. Sometimes, it will go to the left, sometimes to the right. There were some instances where they even went around in a circle. They couldn't judge the direction where this python was going.
At this time, Tang Xue decisively ordered them to go to the river.
Sure enough, when they went to the river, they found a very obvious python trail. Obviously, this giant python is active near the river.
"Everyone must be careful."
Tang Xue turned around and said to the group.
"You have to pay special attention to the ground and dense trees. The bigger the size of the python, the worse their mobility, so most of them hide in the bushes or trees to ambush prey."
"Understood!, Professor."
The team members all shouted then began to vigilantly look around.
"what?"
Hook stood up from his squatting position, just as he turned around to say something to the professor, he exclaimed after seeing something on a tree.
"What's wrong, Xiaohu?"
Hearing the exclamation of Hook, Tang Xue turned around and asked him what the matter, but after seeing the tree that hook was looking at, he was also very surprised.
"Is there a tiger in this forest?"
Tang Xue looked slightly stunned.
"Professor, why are you asking if there is a tiger here?"
A young man behind Tang Xue asked. He was holding a machete in his hand, obviously one of the guides in the team.
He and the other guides were all locals. This time they were hired by Tang Xue to guide them in the mountain. In the beginning, they were very cautious and respectful.
After all, Tang Xue is a professor and Hook is a doctoral student, both of them are very important people in their eyes.
But as time passed, seeing as both Tang Xue and Hook were very approachable, so their relationship isn't as stiff anymore.
This is what allowed the young man to open his mouth and ask Tang Xue questions.
Hearing this, Tang Xue smiled, then explained to the young man.
"Look there, there are claw marks on that tree. This is a method usually used by felines to mark their territory."
"Looking at the shape and size of this scar, it should be left by a tiger."
"Professor, this is the territory of a tiger, seeing as the python is also here. They are likely to have a conflict;"
Suddenly, Hook on the side said while furrowing his brows.
If that giant python is in water then it's okay, but if it's on land, then the tiger is likely to have a big meal, going by its agility.
After all, that python is too big, and in the face of a tiger, its sneak attack wouldn't work.
A tiger's nose is very powerful.
"We have to find that python as soon as possible. It would be a pity if a python of that size is killed."
Tang Xue was planning to protect the python.
Such a big python is very unique and has a very large scientific value.
"Little Hu, let's go."
Tang Xue turned around and said to hook, planning to continue searching for the python. However, a furious roar suddenly sounded in the forest.
"Roar!!"
After hearing this roar, Tang Xue and the rest's face changed color.
"This is... the roar of the tiger."
Tang Xue took a deep breath, his face is dignified.
Look at other people, they too are very serious.
Tigers are the king of the jungle.
Although they have many people and plus armed with weapons, tigers' reputation is just too big.
Several locals in the team were shocked by the roar. Although they lived under the mountain, they did not wander so deeply before, so this is the first time they heard the roar of a tiger.
"Professor, what should we do now?" Hook asked Tang Xue.
Tang Xue pondered and said: "We'll go see what happened, something is off about this tiger's roar."
He did some research on tigers before. Tigers roaring is very common, but this roar is very different from the usual one.
"Everyone should not be afraid. Although tigers are indeed scary, we have many people and many guns. More importantly, this time our security consists of special forces from the army."
He said this mainly to comfort the locals.
Hearing this, the local people slightly relaxed. The men holding the guns behind also straightened their backs and nodded at Tang Xue.
Seeing this, Tang Xue took the lead and walked in the direction of the roar.
Walking for about three hundred meters, the leading Tang Xue suddenly stopped. He raised his hand and made a gesture for the group to stop.
He looked right at an open spot not far away then gently squatted down;
After seeing this, the others followed his example and did the same, looking in the direction he was looking, they were shocked after seeing what's there;
Right in the middle of that open spot is a tiger, a very powerful tiger.
"Roar..."
Suddenly, they heard deeply roaring, then slowly walked ahead.
"What animal is in confrontation with the tiger?"
Tang Xue had a guess in his heart, he immediately said to the rest; " Let's change places;"
After saying that, he slowly walked between the bushes. Not long after, they were near the open space.
The group was moving very slowly, afraid to make a noise and alert the tiger.
Finally, everyone was in an ideal place, they slowly emerged from behind the bushes, then looked at the opposite tiger.
From their perspective, they can clearly see both the tiger and its opponent.
However, when they saw who's the tiger opponent, they were all shocked. They felt like being thundered, a horrified look on their faces.
On the opposite of the tiger is an incomparably giant python. It was lifting its head and coldly staring at the tiger.
This giant python has a body length of more than 12 meters and a diameter of bucket. It looks extremely horrifying.
"This... this is the big python!"
Hook said: "It seems to be getting bigger."
"Yes."
Tang Xue nodded. "It has indeed become bigger. It definitely wasn't this big, but this body type..."
As an old man who has been dealing with animals for decades, this is the first time Tang Xue saw such a shocking animal.
A giant python with a length of more than 12 meters.
It's simply a Prehistoric animal!
"Professor, looking at the situation, the tiger and the python are about to fight, shouldn't we do something?" Hook hurriedly said.
Hearing this, Tang Xue look changed, He was preparing to say to the men to drive the tiger away. Unexpectedly, at this time, the tiger suddenly launched an attack on the python.
