Chapter 60: Eating a Leopard
🕑 Added 2019-09-16 23:41:21 +0000 UTCIt's early morning and the air is particularly cold.
The crocodile group in the swamp climbed to shore and basked in the sun.
Fang Yun hangs on the branch of the big banyan tree. His skin can now keep his body heat. It's no longer necessary to bask in the sun like the crocodiles.
Just as he was about to climb down the tree to complete today's hunting, he stopped. Looking at a bush not far away, his eyes sharpened.
Hiding in the bushes, a pair of eyes looked straight at the crocodile's group.
It's a leopard.
Once Fang Yun discovered the other party, he immediately recognized its identity.
Although cheetahs and leopards are very similar, there are still quite noticeable differences between them. Cheetahs have black solid spots, while leopards have a hollow, shoehorse like spot.
"Is it planing on hunting a crocodile?"
After thinking for a moment, Fang Yun guessed the intention of this leopard, which caused his eyes to get even sharper.
In nature, although there are events in which leopards kill crocodiles, they are very few. Crocodiles are also top predators, even if leopards try to hunt them, it's difficult to say who is going to end as a prey.
Right now, the leopard hiding in a bush and staring at the crocodile's group, who are basking in the sun, is an indicator that the leopard is planning to hunt a crocodile.
This leopard looks very strong, with a 2-meters long body full of muscles.
It looked extremely cautious, deeply hiding in the bushes. Its fur played an excellent camouflage effect. If his sense of smell wasn't so sensitive, even he wouldn't have discovered it.
"It's about to attack."
Fang Yun keenly noticed the leopard muscles tightening. In the next moment, the leopard jumped out from the bushes, turning into a shadow. In just 2 to 3 seconds, it reached the crocodile that was the closest to it.
The leopard opened its mouth and bit right into that crocodile's neck before slamming it into the ground.
The other crocodiles fled in panic after seeing this scene.
After getting a good grip on the crocodile's neck, the leopard dragged it away, trying to retreat into the jungle.
The crocodile in his mouth is barely 1-meter long, it should be a young crocodile. At this moment, this young crocodile is holding onto the ground with its arms, trying its best to resist the leopard pull, holding on to dear life.
Only now did the crocodile group react, threatening the leopard with their roar, trying to scare it away. Even two crocodiles approached the leopard, looking for a chance to attack.
This crocodile group seemed to feel aggrieved. Not long ago, they were suffering from that big python oppression, now they are being hunted by a leopard.
They are also a creature at the top of the food chain, why are they so wronged?
"Roar."
Seeing that two crocodiles are approaching, the leopard didn't even let go of the small crocodile, he just growled at them from the corner of his teeth, which still scared them to stop.
Most of the crocodiles are hiding in the water, not even daring to go to the shore.
Sometimes, a crocodile bites a prey but is unable to drag it underwater due to its strength, causing them to be deadlocked. At that time, the crocodile will take the initiative to give up.
In his past life, Fang Yun once saw a video. Where a crocodile bit a deer on the land but was unable to drag it to the water, the two stayed in the same position for just two minutes before the crocodile took the initiative to leave.
Some people said that the crocodile was moved by the deer's persistence, so he let it go.
However, it was in fact because the crocodile couldn't stay on land for too long so he voluntarily gave up his food.
The leopard, seeing that the two crocodiles stopped, continued dragging the crocodile in his mouth to the forest. The small crocodile was still struggling in the leopard's mouth. However, its neck is already heavily bleeding, it won't last long.
Seeing this scene while still hanging from the tree, Fang Yun was speechless.
That crocodile didn't provide even a challenge for the leopard, ending as a snack in its mouth. More importantly, a group of 20 crocodiles just watched without doing anything.
With courage like this, they still dare to think about rebelling against him?
Fang Yun shook his head in disappointment. Looking back to the leopard, his gaze became very cold.
This crocodile group is already labeled as a reserve food for him, how can other beasts just come and have a share without his permission?
"bang."
Fang Yun’s swung his body on the branch before jumping straight on the ground, causing a large bang.
The leopard, who was dragging the crocodile not far away was scared by this noise. Turning its head to look at the sound source, it was even more scared to see a giant python hurriedly slithering towards it.
The leopard tightened its muscles. At the same time, it growled at Fang Yun, trying to scare him away.
But how could Fang Yun be as timid as those crocodiles?
He not only did not stop but accelerated even further. Seeing that Fang Yun was not scared by him, the leopard dropped the crocodile in his mouth and run towards the forest.
If it's a 4 or 5 meters long python, the leopard may have not given up so easily.
But this one is almost 10 meters long, and its speed is still very fast.
It ran a few steps toward the bushes before turning back to look at the crocodile's body, seeming reluctant to give up its prey. But, after looking back, the leopard was shocked.
Because it saw that the big python did not even look at the crocodile's body, but still ran toward it with fast speed;
Seeing this, the leopard turned around, wanting to jump into the bushes to escape. However, the big python behind it suddenly broke with an unimaginable speed, bitting straight on its leg;
After biting the leopard's leg, he pulled it from mid-air and slammed it on the ground.
"Roar!"
The leopard stood up from the ground and roared at Fang Yun, seemingly ready to fight with him. However, Fang Yun opened his mouth, letting the leopard go.
Seeing this, the leopard did not hesitate to turn around and run. However, after running a few steps, it fell on the ground and started trashing in pain. Not long after, it stopped moving.
Fang Yun crawled over and directly swallowed the leopard in his belly.
Although a two-meter long leopard is very big, it's still nothing compared to Fang Yun. After eating the leopard, Fang Yun crawled back to the big banyan tree, but on the way, he glanced at the dying crocodile.
"This crocodile's neck is heavily bleeding, it's probably not going to survive. I should eat it too, after all, wasting food is a sin."
Fang Yun cheekily thought. He directly crawled to the crocodile and poisoned it. After the leopard in his stomach was almost digested, he swallowed the crocodile.
The leopard provided 1700 bio-energy points, while the crocodile provided 800 points because of its small size.
After eating both a crocodile and a leopard, Fang Yun gave up on hunting today.
After that, life has returned to normal. Fang Yun still goes hunting every day, but because of his bottomless stomach, the number of prey is getting lesser and lesser.
Sometimes when he doesn't catch much prey, he simply goes to the marsh to eat a crocodile.
In just seven days, he ate almost ten crocodiles.
By now, his total bio-energy has reached 35,240 points.
It's not far from the required 45,000 for evolution.
While Fang Yun was fantasying about his next evolution. The remaining crocodiles in the marsh seemed to finally lose their ability to endure and began to resist Fang Yun's brutal rule.
