🕑 Added 2019-09-09 12:23:55 +0000 UTCDuring this time, most of the villagers were watching a TV series named "The Piranha"
The general story about this movie goes like this. In a peaceful village in the south, a woman suddenly disappeared, almost a day later, everyone in the village started looking for the woman, but the result is that various livestock and people started disappearing one after the other.
A huge gloomy shadow thus enveloped the entire village.
Some superstitious people in the village spread the word that it was god punishment on them, forcing on them various bizarre and strange practices. This series of events severely impacted the peaceful village.
Later, after an investigation done by the protagonist, all the evidence pointed to the lake on the edge of the lake.
It turned out that there are piranhas in this lake, some people were playing in the water or washing clothes on the edge of the lake when they were suddenly attacked by piranhas.
The same thing happened to the disappeared animals.
The influence of this TV series cast a mysterious and terrifying veil on Wu Hai reservoir. All of a sudden, the people in the village had created all sort of rumors.
As if in the reservoir, there are really hungry piranhas.
Even a small thing last winter was dug up. That is Zhang Cheng’s family duck that mysteriously disappeared. They even mentioned the children description about how the duck was screaming before it disappeared.
They didn't care much about it previously, but everyone now feels that this is very similar to the plot in the TV series "The Piranha".
In the first episode of this TV series, a child threw his dog into the lake, letting him take a bath. The child left his dog alone into the lake and went into a garden not far from the lake to pick fruits. Suddenly hearing the dog painful cry, he rushed back to the lake, but then the dog has already disappeared.
Everyone thought that there might be piranhas in the river next to their village, which somewhat ran to Wu Hai reservoir.
As more and more rumors spread. Wu Hai himself began to doubt. Is the thief who is constantly eating his fish really a group of piranhas?
As various speculations and rumors about Wu Hai reservoir spread, it was finally time for the reservoir tourists attractions to open.
Because of the various rumors spread out, Wu Hai reservoir got quite famous nearby, on the day of its opening, more than 20 people came to visit.
One of them was a group of seven people. Judging by their looks, they are probably college students.
Driving two shared cars, they parked on the edge of the reservoir. Getting out of the car, they took out some meat and vegetables plus a box of beer.
Listening to what they conversation, they came to this reservoir to have an open-air barbecue and relax. Even if they caught some fish in the reservoir, they would just directly bake it.
Among the seven young people, there are four men and three women. Although both men and women don't have anyone with an outstanding look, but since they all have that kind of youthful, full of energy, student-like vibe, it's quite easy to like them.
"Xiao Lan, you really rented the boat from the hands of the old man."
Amongst the four boys, the tallest one said with amazement to three girls coming back.
Not far away, the three girls are walking back toward the four boys, talking and laughing with each other, not far behind them, the owner, Wu Hai was rowing his boat toward this side, not far from the shore.
"Ha ha ha, this old man is still very easy to talk to, Luo Yong do you want to go onboard?"
At this time, among the three girls, a girl with a little fat on her face said to the tall boy, it looks like she is the Xiao Lan that was mentioned by that boy.
"Can this boat hold all of us?"
Luo Yong looked at the small boat that was docked on the shore and frowned.
The girl named "Xiao Lan" went to ask Wu Hai who was next to the boat, but hearing his answer made her frown too.
"Apart from me, this boat can support only four people."
Wu Hai standing next to the boat extended four fingers and said.
finally, after a discussion and a bit of yelling, the tall boy Luo Yong will accompany the three girls onboard, because he is the only one that knows how to swim.
In order to prevent accidents, he was tasked by the other three boys to protect the safety of girls.
So Luo Yong ended up accompanying the girls on the boat alone. Well, apart from the old man.
Wu Hai stood at the stern and was responsible for rowing the boat, next to him were the three girls and Luo Yong.
The three girls were still a little scared at first, clasping the boat side tightly with their hands. However, under Wu Hai's familiar rowing technique, they did not feel any bumps and gradually let go.
A breeze blew on the water surface, although a bit cold, it gives people a very relaxing and nice feeling. The three girls narrowed their eyes and showed an intoxicated look.
On the other side of the boat, Luo Yong sat on the boat and took out the fishing gear, preparing to fish on the boat.
"Young ladies, you shouldn't play with the water, there are carnivore fish in the lake, although I don't know what type of fish they are, some say it's piranhas."
Wu Hai, who was slowly rowing the boat, noticed that the three little girls were gently swaying the water with their hands and quickly reminded them.
Originally, he did not intend to bring anyone into the water these days. The rumors in the village made him very flustered.
However, he couldn't stand the pleading of these three little girls, eventually giving in.
If the thing that is eating his fish is really piranhas, he will not be responsible for anything.
Moreover, the piranhas in the TV series are very aggressive, attacking anyone that touches the water.
Wu Hai didn't really know if it's the truth. Maybe the TV series exaggerated the ferociousness of piranhas, but he doesn't want to risk it, so when he saw these three girls putting their hands in the water, he quickly stopped them.
"Old man, there should be no piranhas in your reservoir. If there are really piranhas here, then all your fish would have long been eaten."
After hearing Wu Hai’s reminder, Xiao Lan smiled and said, but she still pulled her hand out of the water, not wanting to risk it.
"Hah, It would be better if there was piranhas here, watch me catch them and make a grilled piranha for you."
Luo Yong smiled and said confidently.
Obviously, this guy also doesn't believe that there are piranhas in the reservoir, otherwise, he wouldn't say such a thing.
"Luo Yong, can you really grill fish?"
After the three girls heard Luo Yong's words, they looked at him with surprise. Seeing this, Luo Yong immediately began to brag about his grilling skills
"Oh, Xiaolan, wait for a moment, I will immediately catch a fish and grill it for you."
Luo Yong patted his chest and said with confidence.
"Okay, then we are waiting." A girl smiled and said.
Xiao Lan next to her also smiled and was about to say something to Luo Yong when she suddenly turned and looked strangely at the water;
Previously, she seemed to see a big shadow swimming bellow their boat, but after looking again, the water is very calm with nothing unusual.
"Illusion?"
Xiao Lan furrowed her brows and carefully observed the water.
