Looking at the scene under the tree, Fang Yun gritted his teeth.
He was planning to use this hive to hunt for a long time, but these guys not only destroyed it but ate all the honey inside too.
Just not long before, he was still thinking about how much easier hunting has become using this hive.
But what made it even more annoying is that these four jackals did not leave after eating the honey, but still stayed under the tree, waiting for him to get down.
Obviously, these four jackals still remember their companion that Fang Yun had killed before. After meeting him again, they obviously wouldn't leave so easily.
Seeing their actions, Fang Yun was speechless.
Shaking his head and despising them internally, he crawled on branches, crossing tree after tree. The trees in this forest are very lush and numerous, most of their branches are connected.
The jackals were slightly surprised at Fang Yun leaving this way, but then immediately followed him.
After chasing him for more than 3 kilometers, the jackals gave up
They eventually understood, wanting to avenge their companion in this forest is almost impossible, their only chance to do so would be in the open mountains.
After shaking off the four Jackals, Fang Yun crawled down from the tree and returned back to the cave.
He stayed in the forest for three days, although he still rested in the evenings, he never let down his guard, even while sleeping. Only after returning to his nest did he truly relax and can finally rest.
Back in the cave, Fang Yun climbed on the raised stone platform sticking out of the left wall and fell asleep.
After resting for two days, restoring his state to its best condition, only then did he go out to continue hunting.
In the next few days, Fang Yun encountered the jackal group 4 or 5 times, but there was no conflict, because, every time Fang Yun met with them, he climbed a tree.
Although the four jackals can't be considered a threat to his life, them staying in this forest made him particularly angry.
The so-called 'a mountain can not accommodate two tigers'.
One of the fundamental reasons is that there are limited resources in the mountain. If there are two top predators, conflict is bound to happen.
Although the prey in this forest isn't scarce, the number of prey that Fang Yun require to evolve is quite a lot, and with each subsequent evolution, that number will become even bigger, the existence of these four jackals does severely affect his evolution speed.
What's more, the four jackals make a lot of movements when they hunt, making all the prey in this area much more vigilant and nervous, running at the slightest sound.
This increased the difficulty of Fang Yun hunting even more.
No matter how angry he was in his heart, he has no way to change the current situation, even with his current strength, he isn't sure that he will come out unscathed in a fight against the four jackals, so he currently can't drive them out of the forest.
"I must solve these four jackals the moment I have the opportunity."
Fang Yun crawled on the grass, hatefully thinking.
After the four jackals appeared in the forest, Fang Yun's hunting was not so smooth, despite trying his best, he only managed to gather 1120 bio-energy points in the past three days.
In order for his bio-energy to maintain a state of rapid growth, it's necessary to solve the four jackals.
But there is also good news, that is, his total bio-energy points have reached 5,870.
Not much left for evolution.
It's precisely because of this that Fang Yun can calmly continue to hunt in the forest, otherwise, he would have long caused trouble for the jackal group.
Right now, the place where he is located in is the forest behind the cave. The ground here is flatter and the trees are relatively sparser, but even so, this place has many small animals.
Suddenly, Fang Yun stopped crawling. he flicked his tongue a few times, then his eyes lit up.
Cautiously crawling toward the left, not long after, he spotted a pheasant not far away.
After spotting the pheasant, Fang Yun stopped moving, motionless, his body blending with the surrounding environment, looking like a dead object.
The pheasant leisurely walked, pecking the surrounding leaves from time to time, not noticing that he was slowly approaching Fang Yun's location
Fang Yun fixedly stared at the pheasant, judging the distance between them in his mind.
This pheasant is about two meters away from him, a meter away is the best-attacking range, so he is waiting for the pheasant to get closer.
Almost!Almost!!
The pheasant slowly approached, and soon he was in the best striking range.
Fang Yun's muscles tightened, ready to give this pheasant a quick blow.
But at this moment, an accident suddenly happened...
"boom!"
Without a warning, a very loud bang sounded.
The pheasant in front of Fang Yun immediately panicked, crying and fluttering its wing, quickly running away.
Fang Yun was also very shocked by this loud noise.
He didn't pursue the running pheasant, he didn't even care about it anymore, instead, he looked at the direction from which he heard this sound.
"Was that... a gunshot sound?"
Once he thought about that, Fang Yun look immediately become dignified.
"How can there be a gunshot sound in this barren mountain jungle?"
Fang Yun was puzzled, but when he remembered the car wheels mark he saw in the mountains previously, he immediately understood.
“Did anyone go up the mountain?”
Fang Yun hesitated for a moment, gritting his teeth, he crawled to the direction he heard the gunshot from, determined to see what happened.
After slithering almost 2 km, Fang Yun heard the sound of a car engine, shocked, he immediately crawled up a tree.
Hanging on a branch of a big tree, he looked over to the open ground not far ahead.
He saw that three shadows were quickly running away, their speed is very fast, like running away from something.
"Isn't that the jackal group?"
Fang Yun looked at the three shadows and couldn't help but get amazed, because the shadows running not far ahead are the jackal group that made his teeth itch from hatred.
But the jackal group have four members, where is their other companion.
While Fang Yun was puzzled, two heavy-duty pickup trucks suddenly appeared in his sight, chasing the three jackals from behind.
The engine sound that Fang Yun has heard before was probably these two pickups.
"boom!"
Suddenly, another gunshot sounded and among the three jackals running in front, one of them fell on the ground.
Only now did Fang Yun discover that a young man was standing on the back of the first pickup.
From Fang Yun position, although he can't see the appearance of this young man, he saw that he is wearing a leather coat, and have a hat on his head.
And in his hand, he holds a gun, obviously, the previous gunshots were his handwriting;
"boom! boom!"
After two consecutive gunshots, the last two jackals also fell in a pool of blood.
After seeing this scene, Fang Yun, who was hanging on a tree branch was shocked.
Snapping out of his daze, he immediately understood that the companion of these three jackals was likely to be shot first.
Right now, seeing his opponents die, Fang Yun was not happy at all, he only felt a chill rising in his spine.
This young man came into the mountains to hunt?
When he was a human being, Fang Yun also dreamed of holding a shotgun and going deep into the mountains, hunting wild animals and feeling the beautiful nature.
But now that he is reborn as a snake, he doesn't feel that doing that is cool in any way possible, after all, he can be considered a wild animal.
When Fang Yun was looking at the dead jackals with a heavy heart, the two pickups stopped.
"Black Tiger, Dragon Leopard, go, bring back these three jackals!"
Suddenly the young man in the leather jackals shouted, after which two hounds jumped out of the back of the pickup, and then rushed towards the three jackal's corpses.
