Dev Blog: What Have I Been up to Lately
🕑 Added 2020-12-04 05:23:26 +0000 UTCHi everyone, I hope your holiday was nice and you've been enjoying the Snowy Escape pack or at least building with the new platforms in the patch.
I've been working on several things these last few weeks and I wanted to share a few details about what's around the corner.
First, I've been checking out the new pack content a little bit to see where I should add new checks in my existing trait mods, along with fixing little things here and there. Those are ready now and should be going up for everyone tomorrow.
Second, what's been taking up most of my modding time recently has been a comprehensive overhaul of the game's careers. This includes a crunch down of all their pay rates to make the increase with promotions more exponential, higher skill requirements, and brand new promotion goals like degrees, friends, and fame level. I've put a lot of testing time into it to make sure it's working, and I think it's ready for a beta release in the next day or so. I'd like to continue adding to this still, adding a greater variety of new promotion goals to make some career branches feel more unique.
Lastly, I've been working on a larger project. It has a lot of moving parts, and it's nowhere close to ready, but I'm excited to share more details about this soon. For now, here is just a simple screenshot.
