Zefriss needs an introduction to Pollock's works lol

Some Lvm

How did Hisran not tell Cherise she like the cut of her JIB??? I honestly feel bad for Kaisal and the gang: They are judging the Jaslips based on their diet, which is a very Fed thing to do! So what if Jaslips are carnivores? Their so called resistance does not have any goals beyond killing a bunch of folks, which is one sure way to tell the difference between a legitimate resistance movement and a terror group. I mean seriously, what is the JIB's end goal? Resettle Esqe? Take over any Consortium planet with a Jaslip enclave? Kill or enslave everyone in the Consortium? Interesting how they went straight to bombing the government before even attempting to request Arks or permission to leave. They were never denied anything, they just assumed they would be and went straight to murder.

kabhes

She will give everyone a new reason to hate the Arxur.

kabhes

They could send the red cross.

Wesley Rigg

Please don't die.

Space Paladin

I'm staying put, so there might be some delays. Hope to be back on soon!

Guardian

I hope someone introduces Zefriss to Jackson Pollack's work. Loved that little lore drop.

Xilacnog

I guess this calls for some official Hysran artwork

Xilacnog

Guess why they can't find the Rogue Farsul

EliasArt2Life

“Nice save, Aulan. He is awfully good at spinning words that people want to hear.” Exactly what I’ve been saying. It’s why I don’t trust him. People who know how to spin words to say what people want aren’t necessarily bad or untrustworthy, but you can’t judge them by their words; you have to judge them by their actions. Aulan is the head of an extremist movement that has no problem with acts of terrorism. “another precious accord to maintain at all costs, forsaking all other commitments” What commitments? Our commitments have always been the safety of Earth and forging friendship with those in the stars. If he’s referring to our obligation to aid other carnivores, that’s never been a commitment of ours. It’s what THEY believe our commitment should be. Once again, they aren’t caring what we are/choose, only what they think we should be. Also, Kaisal, we ARE working on the internal abuses of the SC. Only recently, but still. And we ARE fighting. Against the Remnants, not the Consortium, though. So the Arxur were let in… given the suspicion that there’s a hidden group in control of all of the Consortium… that’s not good. Kaisal may be playing into a more powerful group’s hands. Cherise and Quana are quite a pair, but not in a good way. They both have problems that make it hard for them to interact. Quana is too quick to judge and too quick to act on that judgement, so she says and does things that deeply hurt Cherise. Cherise, on the other hand, holds grudges but is capable of hiding her feelings. This means that when she’s hurt, she suppresses those feelings, says she’s okay, but then holds onto those feelings. It causes her to be passive aggressive, which is fueling Quana’s feelings of rejection and causing her to lash out more. Those two need to work on their own problems. @Space Paladin Take care of yourself! Hope the hurricane passes over you without causing any damage!

Pineapplepilot

Lore accurate United Nations, truly one of the tragedies of all time… pretty funny though lol

Elliott

I will patiently await for my son Hossat's arrival. I'm wondering for just how long they can call themselves the 'Carnivore Alliance' with how diverse they're becoming?

PhycoKrusk

It might be interfering in the war, if only because it seems like the Consortium (regardless of Radai's input) is about to classify all Jaslips as "military-aged Interlopers."

PhycoKrusk

Hysran truly is best girl

PhycoKrusk

Because Kaisal didn't bring it up because he isn't actually that clever, and none of the others are going to interrupt the Chief Hunter.

Swan

Really want Hysran to become the new human ambassador once Raza takes over Kaisal's position

Wesley Rigg

Please tell us you're getting out of Milton's way.

Space Paladin

Thank you!

Bonald

I'm glad I paid for the Patreon membership and read the New Arxur story line as this has cemented Hysran as my favourite character. On a different note, it seems like Quana might be dealing with some abandonment issues with how she's handling her relationship with Cherise...

Gumcel

“Precisely! I studied homonyms in the official language of the United Nations, though our ambassador to humanity always refused to use my material. AAAAAHHHHHH ANGLOPHONE ALIENS. IT’S CONFIRMED. WAKE UP VENLIL!!!!!!!!!! “Nice save, Aulan. He is awfully good at spinning words that people want to hear.” Most subtle Aulan foreshadowing.

Kevo

Great chapter, you know how to keep me hooked!

TheBlack2007

The Arxur acted so selfishly towards their Bissem Allies, the latter damn near told them to go shove their alliance inside their cloacas. If the UN were to actually and finally deliver on their earlier promises now, the Bissem would likely see little reason in throwing in their lot with the Arxur. Same goes for the Jaslips who also only consider it because the UN would prefer not to draw the Consortium's ire.

DrewTheHobo

I wonder why none of the Arxur explain the cannibalism with the feds meddling too, there’s some coming ground and Betterment didn’t survive in a vacuum.

Apogee

Yeah the UN could totally do that, it wouldn’t be interfering in the war just humanitarian aid

Swan

tbf Esco is still a wasteland; it needs to be rebuilt/restored before they can go there (Maybe the UN could slowly start work on that?)

Swan

It properly be a good idea for the UN to do something which shows they still care about the Jaslips, but which doesn't lead to direct war with the KC, before the feds have been dealt with. Maybe offer to get the ball rolling on rebuilding Esquo? If the Jaslips want that of course (Issue is of course getting someone who can actually speak for the Jaslips right now, cause I feel like JIB isn't really capable of doing that, and the former consortium delegate is likely in prison) Edit: Also, I guess Kaisal hasn't heard that the Feds declared war on humanity yet, doesn't sound like it anyway

DDDragoni

Hysran learned English specifically to make puns we would appreciate. Incredible.

PhycoKrusk

Not a military leader, either, if he believes that the Collective can fight a two-front war against enemies that are technologically and/or numerically superior.

PhycoKrusk

Possibly, although given that Kaisal outright says "It is like you have a mysterious, powerful benefactor," I'm more inclined to think that is a red herring. #RadaiforShogun

Apogee

Why can’t the Jaslips just go back to Esco now? The Aruxur can ferry them there. The only fighting left is to secure their enclaves until everyone is evacuated

DemonVee

I do believe Radai mention supplying the Jaslips with weapons and thought they would supply them secretly, but I hadn't considered the fact that their supply doesn't have to be "that" secret considering their already both fighting the remnants.

Waffle man

Awwww yea, I love adults with the emotional maturity of actual children.

Daru Arura

Hysran's jokes have drastically improved.

Aerowarrier

Well I’m happy Hysran finally has a human who will play along with her xD

REDemon14

Hysran, you silly creature. Cherise is still hurting from Quana's treatment after the reveal of Earth's survival. Quana doesn't know how bad she screwed up. Zeffy! New nickname unlocked! I really want to think Radai is the one who commanded the KC fleet to back down, cause of it was the KC, then the arxur are likely being used as propaganda to demonize the Jaslips further by association. Aulan's and Kaisal's accusations and speculations of the UN's agenda and dealing are gonna cause problems for them and the UN. I'm not even sure Kaisal is aware of the UN leadership change or the *existance* of Meier, who got the whole reform and peace thing rolling. Kaisal had opened up the Collective to a two front war. Ask the humans, that doesn't tend to go well. My thoughts on working with the Arxur are...complicated. On the one hand, the Arxur have come a long way from what they were. There were a lot of Arxur who couldn't get enough of a foothold to start any resistance until humanity came into the picture and offered new ways to acquire food. Working with any Arxur around the age of early 30's shouldn't be an issue because they were too young to be a true moral agent. CW: On the other hand, the ideology of Betterment has caused so much *agony*. The recent civil war has also shown that three ideology hasn't been as thoroughly for a we hoped. Now, it might be routed now, but it still opens the door to doubt. The sheer cruelty was pointless and wanton. There is no reason to be that cruel "for food", but to me the worst thing the Arxur have done is the forced breeding of people. I feel like using that term kinda softens the blow of what that actually is. So I won't elaborate here. But they did that to tens to hundreds of millions, perhaps around a *billion* people. That shit doesn't heal, not when any of the perpetrators are still active. Especially to the Thafki, who's population most likely comprises SA victims. Don't get me wrong, the UN fumbled (understatement) showing the rest of the SC the improvements the Arxur made, but Flynn and are probably right; the best solution is generational change. Anyways, those are my thoughts. Looking forward to more and to see how this situation evolves or devolves.

Wingit98

Kaisal has resisted twink death

Th3pineapple _

I figured that the UN will likely tell the Arxur that they can't help YET, but they will help once the federation remnants are delt with. However I do like your thought that the UN could help the Jaslips discreetly through the Arxur while still dealing with the remnants. Just "oh yeah these weapons we are giving the Arxur are to help in the war against the Remnants. They definitely aren't to help free the Jaslips. Totally unrelated."

Byron Ritchie

Oh man it’s one thing for radai to advise “””””””against”””””” supporting the jaslips but to just let the arxur in seems like a extreme move FYI I do agree with his motivations but he’s playing with fire here

Michael Halpern

he's got honor, still someone has to drop an Orwell reference to the UN

Dookus Maximus

Functional and supportive of each other? Not so sure. Kaisal expected help from his Bissem allies when he declared war on the Fed Remnants, without consideration towards their (the Bissem) position. Kaisal may be intelligent but he is a touch short sighed and impulsive when it comes to politics. A military leader and a true advocate for his people, but not a diplomat.

Xilacnog

So Radai allowed the Collective through and was trying to signal the UN to support the Jaslips, not necessarily the JIB, behind everyone's back

DreamEnvoy

Hysran is quickly becoming my favorite Arxur. So the puns ARE in English. That's more believable than somehow working in both languages. Seeing Cherise playing along with the tail jokes brings me a smile considering what she has gone through. I'm relieved to know the neither the Jaslips nor the Tellus humans will continue to fight against the Sivkits, despite any implied feelings against the UN's agreed plan. We already know from the Elias chapter that there is no way humanity would jeopardize their alliance with the KC to aid the JIB. I wouldn't be surprised if Aulan and/or Quana label humanity as enemies for so-called "indifference". Now, the only idea I have for why the Arxur ship was let through is maybe Radai is secreting willing to allow the Jaslips to leave the consortium, but doesn't want to openly cave to terrorist demands. After all, the reason for the KC to subjugate the Jaslips in the first place has been nullified. There's no longer any justification. Anyways, I wish you well. It seems lately that Florida can't catch a break from nature's wrath.

TheBlack2007

I think it has something to do with Radai‘s not so subtle hints in his talks with Meier.

DemonVee

Isif saved Earth before their official meeting (At his own risk against Betterment), the UN only shared who was vulnerable due to the attack on them, they were shocked by the Arxur’s arrival. And if the Feds first meeting with Hunters was with Humanity instead of the Arxur than they would have been but into a similar spot after trying to cure them.

DemonVee

I imagine the collective will get surprised by the UN's turnaround when they meet at Grenelka, I doubt the Arxur know that Humanity is coming. As I mentioned last chapter, they will probably take the advice and supply the Jaslips covertly through the Arxur, I hope they managed to somewhat mend their relations there. (We need Raza at the siplomatic center)

DemonVee

Interesting, the reason for the Arxur being let through depends on how united the consortium worlds actually are. - The Smilglis have consistantly shown themselves to not be interested in the war, and almost like a joke to the rest of their allies. The could have intentionally allowed the collective through because of the Reskets' violation of their sovereignty, hating their mistreatment and the Jaslips' but never feeling they could do anything, or they could have simply not had intentions to fight for the consortium. - Or the consortium was behind this, and they do have something up their sleeve.

BiasMushroom721

Yeah, but they wouldnt have gone straight for kill everyone and Isif only did that cause the UN bent his hands too

John Benjamin Cate

Poor little Quana, not finding an obvious target for their frustrations and anger. But hey, the Carnivore Alliance grows! And they are sounding like they could be functional and supportive of each other! Bet that will have an impact on how the SC works with diplomacy

pogman

Arxur saved many worlds, and it DOES mean something because were it not for the federation, the dominion wouldn't have formed anyway, the federation's anti predator propaganda can't be blamed on the Arxur but instead on the prion disease on Aafa, they would have found another way to instill panic, anyway.

pogman

The victory is mine hueheuhehehe

BiasMushroom721

I wonder if anyone is going to put two and two together and realise that the Arxur saving Earth means nothing cause it wouldn't have been in danger in the first place if it wasn't for their actions. Hell they still go by Chief Hunter ans Carnivore Allaiance. Isif kept chief hunter to boost his reputation. I think Kaisal keeps it cause he wants the Dominion but with a softer name

Fabian Feller

beat me by 500 milliseconds, bruh
