Irritating though I find Kane to be, he's right in this instance. The Guild was designed to be non-functional, and the Venlil have been crippled physiologically, psychologically, and genetically for so long that they're unable of fixing things themselves; either the race of man steps in, or nobody does.

Found&Lost

I want a single chapter to go over the aftermath including kalsim reaction. And Farsul!

urbanlegend

I’m pretty sad to hear we won’t be getting Dossur content for a while, but what the majority wants, the majority gets, I suppose. Whatever it is you write, I’ll be looking forward to it anyway :)

Space Paladin

Mittens is a standard cat name, similar to Rover or Spot for dogs 🙏

fastinn

you put mittens instead of kittens i thnik "The same folks torching Mittens are deciding whether Venlil kids have a screw loose. How the fuck does that make sense?”

paintmelikeyoudoyoursheilas

I hope we get more stories with will and his posse. Really like them and it’s great to see will break out of the self hate trap he set up and change for the better

Jonathan Cardoso Mota

Oh i'm very sure it's all going to start out with Dr. Bahri going "We gotta do SOMETHING about those aliens 'cause they're killing themselves out there" and someone heeding the call.

Billybob

With the psychologist series, it will probably either have to happen after Sovlin's therapy, or the person needed to sign an NDA. I know that all these shrinks can't know each other, but word would spread rather quickly unless something was stopping it. Even without going into any detail that might compromise her client relationship with Sovlin, Dr. Bahri could easily spread it around that other psychologists should look out for alien "mental health".

Weston Simmons

A good ending one full of hope. what catastrophy is this setting up for in the main series?

DemonVee

I was gonna say that hopefully dark impulses will continue but I just noticed that a chapter updated a month ago.

Amélia Brouillard

I am soooo ready for the psychologist series!

The Walrus Transcendent

Oh, no. Will's a detestable piece of shit and everyone diegetically *knows* he's a detestable piece of shit. I frankly am growing more impressed by SP's growing skill in writing, as evidenced by writing such a character. Usually when this kind of asshole protagonist is written by a bad writer, everyone fawns over them while failing to identify their raving sociopathy. Not the case here. However, there's another element to this. Will and Raulin both have been pushed into a sequence of events that is leading them to become de-radicalized. This isn't a fast or painless process, dumb and hurtful shit is still going to be said and done, and the spessbirb and spessdoggo are excellent beans, providing support and kindness for the deeply unwell hairless ape in their midst. And yeah. Volek is razor-sharp. She knows the rot inside, at least in general, has seen the writing on the wall, and has jumped on a chance to cause change, come hell or high water. That said, she's an institutionalist, and that makes her by default a worse person. /s

Michael

Will has decisive sigma male disease. He somehow stood on a soap box by lifting the podium upwards to him! He's an asshole everyone can (begrudgingly) appreciate. Also this opens up writers to make their own Venil CSI crime/cop drama stories which I know some already have.

Bugsydor

I still don't like Will. He's too much of a jerk for my tastes. But at least he has shown some capacity for growth and is willing to look out for the angsty teen shorp that is Rauln. And the whole thing about agitating for reform from within the exterminators.

Theo Gray

Ohhhhh my god same

NoblePhoenix216

The shenanigans between them at home is a whole series on its own

1Blaster777

Great story, the next time we see Kalsim I would love to see his reaction to who the intestine killer was. I have a feeling that's what the mysterious next bonus chapter is about.

Andrew Lechner

Can't wait for the mental health Series!

Lisa

Pretty sure people with predator disease aren’t as rare among exterminators as in the general population.

Anemoia

This is the moment where Rauln truly became Venbro

BigSneppy

Will and Rauln living together is a hilarious thought "Will! You left your predator food in the fridge!" "Where else am I supposed to keep it!? And I don't complain about your weird xeno lettuce!"

etopsirhc

i'd say probably laula, as rauln is constantly telling him off for being an ass. which just makes things even funnier.

se05239

Case closed.

Apogee

Thanks for the chapter! I am excited for this *mysterious* one shot. What will it be? Lets see if any of my guesses are even close. :)

Mr. Walker

He's an asshole with a heart. That's definitely worth something.

BiasMushroom721

He’s gone from being an asshole out of hate to being an asshole cause he likes them. Character progress?

Byron Ritchie

I do love how he is tsundere for both Laula and (REDACTED because I forgot rauln was a minor)

Byron Ritchie

And that’s why we love him

Alex

Will is an unhinged maniac

Pyroraptor

Thanks for the chapter!

Davis R

I really loved the story and I’m of the opinion that it was a great piece of world building for the main story. Some of the “fan fiction” storys in the NoP universe have tried tackling the conflict of exterminators and what they actually do, but it’s awesome to get an “official” look into it. Loved Will and his new brother as characters. Looking forward to the next story!

Space Paladin

Thank you!

EliasArt2Life

This has been a long and difficult journey for all four of these Exterminators, but I think Rauln had it worst. Trained by a serial killer, nearly killed by him, potentially indirectly responsible for a death, etc. that’s a lot of baggage to go through. Glad that he got an emotional support human out of this (ha ha). Also, just a note, we got our first in-universe mention that Volek might have Predator Disease. If that’s true, that tells us the REAL reason why she joined the Exterminators: first, the one place they’ll never look is among the people who are supposed to be taking down people with Predator Disease, and second, to change the system from the inside.

Space Paladin

Thank you!

Man I loved this story so much. It was wonderful. I hope Will makes some progress into the loveable asshole territory instead of just asshole at some point in the future, guy could use to having a few more friends. And I see Volek did everything absolutely on purpose after all. Still think she took a dangerous gamble with the situation (by that I mean not just hiring Will but literally assembling a volatile mix of a team) but it paid off.

Hello There

This man handing out god-tier side stories

It's nice to see characters stop with the soft approach and finally switch to the hard straightforward approach. Just like when Noah called out the Fissans and Nevoks for trying to gouge humanity with trade deals instead of just helping us, there comes a point where you need to say "Look, we have a crisis here. If we don't solve this RIGHT NOW good people are going to die. You need to get out of the Olympic sized cesspool full of your greed, fear, pride, and ego and help me solve it, because the people we're trying to save include your people too."

GeneralLDS

hands down my favorite mini series

Cosmic BGM

Would love to see a single chapter epilogue of kalsim reading about the case while in jail. Just a sudden realization of how his entire purpose was due to a prey serial killer not a predator.

Sci-fi reader

Nice. I like how Will remains being an assh-le.

Anthony Mears

Dustin summer internship! Marcel and Slenik walking past a recruiting poster of Will holding a basket of kittens, inviting kids to the guild house for "pet a predator " day.

NoblePhoenix216

Great story with a great ending. I loved how Will is portrayed as an asshole through and through and really does not care what aliens think. Some people think it might make him too unlikable but I feel that's the point, we're not supposed to like him. As much as I would have liked to see Will and Luala be proper friends Will at most just tolerating her fits perfectly in line with who he is. I hope down the road we see this group again either in another side story like Maya or in the main story like Olek and Lisa. Maybe see Will making more progress towards being a better William Kane. As sad as it is to see a story end it just means we get to start a new one I look forward to seeing a human psychologist give proper aid to the poor souls in predator disease facilities. Keep up the great work

print Path

As sad as it is to see it end it was a great ending to a great story loved it all the way

Ana Fiser

Eh, to be honest we needed a character who's an unapologetic asshole and who refuses to pander to xeno sensibilities. It would be unrealistic if all humans were perfectly reasonable and polite.

Ana Fiser

A great ending to a great series. Loved it from beginning to end.

JonZealot

Good story but won't miss the main character. He was an ass in the literal sense and did his best to be an ass. Not fond of such characters. If this was an all human setting, he would probably be the one making all the racist jokes just to be racist. And not in a joking way but in a racist way.

Samuel Sukovsky

A great story, would love to see more of the characters in the future :D

blankxlate

A beautiful story as always, Paladin. Though I'm sad to see it end.

Alexiadria

So, now we only need a whole tv show with about 5-6 season with these guys as our protagonists. Gosh, the show "exterminators" could get some kinda rewrite with humans!

pfreya

Oh man, I’m so glad those two stubborn knuckleheads are going to be there for each other :’) And that Luala and Fyron made up, too!

Fan Undercase

I really loved how the story concluded

Sree Krishna Raja

Awersome ending to a brilliant mini series

First Great story! Enjoyed every minute. Kinda sad it's done. Hope to see them again (at the very least in cameos) . Well, we got side eye ( so to speak😉) confirmation from Volek about her predator disease but no specifics. I knew something was up with her the moment she met Noah. I still wonder what "the Exterminators" is like. Is it a fictitious drama like "law and order", or a reality show like "Cops"? If so, it would be cool to see a film crew follow them through the eyes of other characters or others mention them from an episode.
