I have a Discord account but the link only opens my app. Doesn’t take me to the WWW server

Do us a favor and let us know if it 'becomes something' as time goes on. I (and probably others) don't currently have a discord account. And in today's world of hacks, I really don't want to make any additional unnecessary accounts if possible. But if this takes off, I'll gladly sign up.
