2024 Recap
Let's start off with a summary of highlights or achievements!
Reanimation Scheme
Finished the draft for the remaining two routes (Jori and Sebastien), ending up at 670k+ words (for now)
Finished editing & rewriting Jori's route and got half of his route out for beta testing
All art officially 100% complete for the game
Got a mobile Android .apk port working for the game
Emberfate
Overhauled and rewrote the game's backend system for the Items / Inventory / Mail and added some QOL changes in preparation for the update
Now at 487 Itch.io ratings, which is just over 100 more compared to last year's 383
Other endeavors
Got more opportunities working as a programmer on other visual novel projects, so I earned money to pay bills and fund my next project while expanding my portfolio~
Notable projects include: Royal Order & Disciple's Diary by Nifty Visuals and Killer Chat by rosesrot
Connected with some Chinese indie otome devs and made new friends!
Honestly, that's...... not a very impressive list huh, especially compared to the last 2023 recap. I really, really wanted to release Reanimation Scheme and Potato's DLC route in 2024, but that obviously did not happen 😭
All in all, I'm kind of disappointed in what I managed to achieve in the past year, because it's a lot less than I planned for myself. To be honest, 2024 has not been the best year for me in more ways than one. My family had a myriad of physical health issues, and my own mental health has been suffering a lot. December in particular was a terrible month for me where I basically spent 70% of it struggling to function like a normal human being.
I don't usually talk much about my personal life because I figured my games are what you guys are following me for, not myself and my life, so I won't get too much into it. I'm still somewhat recovering from the latest episode, which probably isn't the greatest start to 2025, but I'm hoping that this year will fare better for me in terms of life and health, because oh boy, do I have a lot planned for this year.
Which brings us to the next section — my goals and plans for 2025!
Looking Ahead: 2025
The obvious first goal is to release Reanimation Scheme, for the love of god. 🥹 I'm really close to the finish line now, so hopefully it won't be too much longer...
After that, I'll finally be able to publicly announce and start marketing for my xianxia project, which I've kind of alluded to for a while and been posting early previews of already as part of the $10 tier!
I may or may not also have something planned that's closely related to the xianxia project... You guys will find out in 2025 👀
Anyway, I'm gonna shamelessly reuse the graphic I already did last year here LOL Soon, this project will see the light of the day, I swear...
Potato's DLC route out will also be sometime in 2025, probably in the second half of the year so I have some time to breathe after Reanimation Scheme's release.
We're still actually a little ways off to reaching his goal on Ko-Fi — I'll fund the rest out of pocket to make his route happen either way, of course, but I'm going to shamelessly plug this here while I can😂 If you happen to find yourself wanting to pitch in with some donations, it'd always be extremely appreciated 💖
I think that's mostly all. That alone should fill up my entire year's schedule to the brim LOL
I also want to start posting free monthly devlogs for real on Patreon this year, so uh, quote me on that I guess! And now that we're on the topic of Patreon...
As a heads up, after Reanimation Scheme is released, I'll be doing a major rework of all the reward tiers and rewards for my Patreon. After all, a lot of the rewards would no longer really be relevant (e.g. future project preview, beta access to RS, etc.) and I also want to change the pricing of the tiers since e.g. $30 is probably too high and it's kinda just there atm despite not really getting patrons.
I'll, of course, do a warning post & send a message out to all paying patrons at least a month before the changes go through, so that patrons have time to cancel or switch their pledges to different tiers after seeing the new rewards setup.
I'll also be sending out some sort of poll/survey probably in a couple of months, both to anyone following me on Patreon and maybe a public one on social media, to assess interest in different kinds of rewards, so that it can help me decide what rewards and tiers I should set up. So if you are a paying patron, or you're a free patron who might be interested in pledging if you get certain rewards, keep an eye out for the poll so that you can put in your vote or thoughts about what kind of rewards you'd like to see!

Thank you so much for the kind message!! 💖 I'm super happy to hear you enjoyed Emberfate and am grateful that you're interested in checking out Reanimation Scheme too. Though I do need to warn you that the two games are very different — RS is more of a traditional otome visual novel with a defined protagonist and more plot-oriented. I'm not sure if you'd enjoy it as much as Emberfate with the different setups, so here's a heads-up warning! Hahah
