[Public] Devlog #3 + Poll
🕑 Added 2024-04-05 07:42:16 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
I'm back with another devlog. I'm sorry for not posting devlogs for a while β it kind of slipped my mind among all the craziness that was holiday season (Christmas - New Year - Chinese New Year) π
Reanimation Scheme
As with before, my dev focus is still on Reanimation Scheme. The game is getting very close to completion, and I'm tentatively hoping for a Q3 release this year! A quick recap of the progress:
Script is fully written β 3 routes have been finalized, but 2 routes (Jori's and Sebastien's) still need some rewrites and edits. The current word count is at 679k words, but this will likely change as I edit the scripts more.
Art is almost done β 3 CGs for Sebastien's route remains, and maybe a couple of additional item art pieces, and that would be all.
Voice acting is over halfway done β the voice acting lines for Aldrias, Kierdan and Lyrissa have been recorded & audio engineered. Raenelle's first batch of voice acting lines have been done as well. What remains is Raenelle's second batch of lines, and Jori's and Sebastien's lines.
Coding is ~85% of the way there β I still need to code in Jori's and Sebastien's scripts once I'm done editing and finalizing them, as well as implement voice acting lines for the entire game (though I've been chipping away at some of it when taking writing breaks).
Currently, Jori's route is being pushed out for beta episodically β the first 3 chapters of his route is already available on this Patreon for $15 tier and above, and more chapters will be coming this month and next!
Some previews:
(I think that's probably the funniest line I'll ever write in my life ngl)
Wishlist the Game on Steam (pretty please π₯Ί)
Now that I need to prepare for the game launch that's drawing ever closer, I'll start focusing more on marketing efforts. So to start that off... if you haven't wishlisted the game on Steam yet, please please consider doing so! (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1520740/Reanimation_Scheme/)
The more wishlists the game can get before launch, the more visibility it'll get on Steam, which will help a small indie like me out a lot! π
Future Patreon Tiers Overhaul (+ Poll)
So this one is kind of just me thinking ahead into the future, but after Reanimation Scheme is released and I announce and start working on new projects, I'd like to do an overhaul of the Patreon tiers so I can make them more fitting for the new projects.
As early prep work, I wanted to ask for your opinion on what kind of rewards you'd be interested in seeing for Patreon β or what rewards are usually the most tempting to you that would make you consider paying for the tier. Please vote in the poll below β you can vote as many choices as you like, and you can always suggest more ideas in the comments too! π
That's all I have to say for this devlog. Thank you so much for reading, and I'll see you all next time!
