Personal Update

My Brain: Being content is nice but have you tried obsessively worrying about everything instead?
Me: Sigh...
Software has been on my worry radar lately. Not the good kind of radar that keeps planes from crashing into each other each. More like the bad kind of radar from the Aliens movie that displays an increasing number of things coming to get you.
Things like...
- I recently confirmed that Patreon was only reporting 70% of the money spent by a user and that lower percent meant their software was locked, even though they paid the correct amount.
- Patreon does not always alert me when I receive a message.
- I need to check on the Microsoft Partner Center to see if they allow manifest version 3 extensions to be uploaded yet. Once they do, Script Control can be officially released for Edge.
- Chrome has recently changed something that is adversely affecting the popups for Script Control.
- Even worse, Chrome has started ignoring critical rules in Script Control that are supposed to always allow JavaScript on the Patreon site. This is extremely frustrating as the previous tech was made according to their API documentation and something has obviously changed.
- Firefox has announced support for manifest 3 which means there is a chance Script Control can come to Firefox. It will most likely be a programming challenge however.
There are more things I worry about than the above but one thing I do not worry about is strategy. I believe everything can be improved. Even when everything is not within our control. There are always opportunities for improvements.
That is why I will be going into software focus mode soon. Perhaps when I emerge my brain will have a few less things to worry about or at least... different things to worry about.
My Brain: Thanks!
