Sobriquet recognized that she wasn't suited for a post-revolutionary Daressa and stepped away from the government there, which neatly solved the problem of her confronting all of these issues in her homeland - it doesn't solve the underlying problem of her being aligned with the powers-that-be, though, and all of the complexity that comes along with it. Mike is of course very concerned with peoples' perception of him, since he's going to continually be forced into that process of reconciliation. For him it's an inevitable, practical problem more than one of morality. He hasn't been in the game that long, though, and most of those impressions he'll have to deal with are fancifully positive rather than disappointed and negative, so in many ways Sobriquet still has the harder task. As for Saleh and Amira - they're completely safe until I have a chance to give each of them some more scenery-chewing dialog, since I love writing their characters. I don't actually think we've ever seen them in the same conversation, oddly enough. After that, who knows...

Poor sobriquet. It’s nice to hear Michael express the philosophy that’s in his soul but at the same time we can see that it’s not the answer that Sobriquet needs. Onward to another confrontation. Smoke and Sustain are not this time prepared for Stellar and Sever, they’ve both had a qualitative change compared to their safid counterparts. I do suspect that if Luc reaches Smoke +- Sustain he will claim them. Luc looks hard to beat, better to have him increase that advantage before Michael has his ultimate epiphany and apotheosis and the Jeorg face of his soul becomes a Michael face?
