I know Alaska is having a moment processing the outcome of the election, but that rant in the beginning makes me want to hold up the glittery bullshit paddle from AS2. I think back to episodes of this podcast where Alaska sometimes went out of the way not to criticize trump, but had no qualms going in on the Biden administration despite the good they did for millions of people because of Gaza. BUT you also congratulate Sarah McBride on the podcast for being the first transgender member of congress… but she is also a Zionist — so, where is the line?! Also not understanding the importance of enshrining the right to marry in the California constitution is wild for someone who is the face of a political action committee. I am not blaming, I just don’t want to have any revisionist history as we move forward and fight as a community. We got two years before the midterms, so take some time to take care of yourselves because we need to be prepared to organize and vote in every election in our areas up until til 2026.

I wish Alaska articulated her point on abortion better. I know she means that Republicans have used it to distract, when in reality the majority of the country believes there should be access to it. I get that it should be a non-issue (aka it should be codified law already), and i know that is what Alaska ineffectively was trying to say, but in the current situation America is in, it's an extremely important issue that needed to be a focus of this election. People are literally dying because of the Trump abortion bans happening in some states.
