v13.0.0beta3 – still problems with Avast and AVG

- Fix for the Add Equipment button not working properly;
- Fix for imported attack-cantrips not always being set properly;
- More fixes for spells not being recognized correctly;
- Fix for class features being jumbled up when adding two or more classes at the same time (or importing a multiclassed character);
- Fix companion HD section showing the character’s Constitution modifier instead of its own.

Scholar-tier and higher subscribers can also find the latest beta version in the shared folder on Dropbox/Google Drive.
A lot of you have reported issues downloading the v13 beta files because both Avast and AVG are flagging these files as containing a virus.
Let me put your mind at ease, these are false positives. Only Avast and AVG (which use the same virus-scanning engine) are having trouble with these files, no other anti-virus software is. I have created every part of these files myself and can guarantee you that there is no issue with them.
I have reported these files to both Avast and AVG, but the process of getting them whitelisted can take several weeks.
Until that time, your only option to use the beta is to turn of you Avast/AVG when downloading them and then excluding the files from the Avast/AVG scan.
If you would like to help combat this problem, please use your Avast/AVG installation to report these files as false positives (which, if I understand it correctly, should be one of the options when Avast/AVG warns you it is blocking something).
To exclude files or folders in Avast, follow this guide on the Avast website.
To exclude files or folders in AVG, follow this guide on the AVG website.
Note that you can use this method to exclude the Google Drive and/or Dropbox folder on your machine from Avast and AVG. If you want to do this, only exclude the folder “MPMBs Character Record Sheet [beta] (PDF)”. However, I would recommend against excluding any folders synced through Google Drive/Dropbox, as it is a potential security risk for the future if you forget to remove this exclusion when it is no longer necessary. Instead, I recommend temporarily stopping the syncing of these folders, see below.
If you are using Google Backup and Sync to have files from Google Drive available locally, follow these steps to exclude a folder from downloading:
1. On your computer, click Backup and Sync
2. Click Settings (might just be three vertical dots)
3. Select Preferences
4. At the left, click Google Drive
5. Select Sync these folders only
6. Choose the folders you want to sync, unchecking the folder “MPMBs Character Record Sheet [beta] (PDF)”
7. Click OK
For Dropbox the process of removing a folder from being synced to your machine is explained in their help documentation here.
Long story short, the steps are roughly this:
1. Click on the Dropbox Tray Icon or Menu Bar Icon
2. Click the Gear Icon (a.k.a settings option)
3. Select Preferences…
4. In the dialog that appears, go to the Sync tab
5. Click Selective Sync… (or Change settings… on Mac)
6. A new dialog will appear where you can uncheck the folder you don’t want to sync. In this case, uncheck the folder “MPMBs Character Record Sheet [beta] (PDF)”
7. Click Update and then OK to close the dialogs and apply the changes
All the above steps, for both Google Drive and Dropbox, are from my own experience with Windows 10 and might be different if you have a different version of Windows or are using a Mac (I don’t own a Mac, so I’m no help there).

Are you sure you are using v13.0.0beta3? Because the issue you are describing was in v13.0.0beta2, but I though I fixed it in beta3 and I'm unable to reproduce it in beta3. If you are indeed talking about beta3 and not beta2, could you please walk me through how to get this issue to show itself, because I'm unable to reproduce it?

I just found that the Light cantrip has seemingly been replaced by the Mystic Talent in all cases. Just found this in the 13.0.0beta3 version.

You can have the new sheet copy all the content from the old. Use the "Import" button in the 'JavaScript Window'-toolbar or the "Import/Export" bookmark. Then in the menu that you get select "Import a character directly from another MPMB's Character Record Sheet" and follow the instructions in the dialogs that open.

Thanks for putting together these character sheets. If I have a character in say 12.98 (for sake of not saying 99) and a new version releases, do I have to re-input that whole character again or does something cause it to update automatically to the latest template when I download the new version? I'm just taking a quick guess here, but I imagine you'd have to change the ranger script to include the same spellcastingKnown commands. The formatting here is going to be wonky, but Ranger has the following: spellcastingKnown : { spells : "list", prepared : true },

First off, thank you so very much for all continued efforts on the sheet. It is frankly, the best char sheet I have used to date! I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place for this question, but my GM has houseruled the ranger spellcasting works like paladin spellcasting (in terms of spells chosen each long rest). I was hoping someone might be able to guide me into creating a custom script for this? Thank you and have a great day!
