“What do you mean ‘definitely male’?!” I pulled my pants back up, exasperated. “That’s something you could’ve told at a glance!”
“Well, yes,” Tsunade said, finally turning to face me again. “But after what happened the other day, I had my doubts.”
“What do you mean, Sensei…?” A sinking feeling of dread settled in my stomach.
“You tell me, Soul Songstress.” Tsunade smirked, her gaze sharp and playful. “I never imagined you had such a talent. Your girl disguise was flawless.”

I sucked in a cold breath, my secret completely out in the open. It was as if I’d fallen into the depths of despair. “No… I-I’m not the Soul Songstress! I don’t know who that is!”
