Grease Pencil watercolor brush pack for Blender
🕑 Added 2021-03-30 16:17:57 +0000 UTC4 grease pencil brushes
I made a whole video explaining how I used these brushes to create this botanical illustration! You can check that out here:
This pack contains 4 brushes that I created by customizing the default grease pencil "Pencil" brush. After I made the switch to Blender in 2020, I wanted to recreate the textured, painterly style I was used to drawing in - the only problem, my computer couldn't handle custom textured brushes. So I created these brushes through weeks of tweaking the pencil brush and saving different versions and using them for multiple pieces.
What you get
$0+
If you choose the free option you'll be able to download a .blend file that is just the default file when you create a new 2D animation file, PLUS my 4 brushes. For how to add these to any .blend file, please refer to the above video at 1:37 - 2:24 . If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me at sophiejantak@gmail.com, or I'm @sophiejantak on all social medias!
NOTE: as explained in the video, all brushes EXCEPT the "SJdirt" brush use the "Solid Stroke" material that comes included in every grease pencil Stroke object. The "SJdirt" brush uses the "Dots Stroke" material that comes included in every grease pencil Stroke object. Also remember to be have "Vertex Paint" selected to see the beautiful colours!
$2+
(make sure to SELECT the 2$+ option BEFORE typing the $ amount and adding to cart! If you realize you've purchased the wrong version please email me)
If you donate at least 2 dollars you will ALSO be able to download my .blend file in which I created this illustration. This contains the exact same brushes, the only difference is that you'll be able to see firsthand how I have everything set up, and you'll be able to play around with the layers and modifiers. You'll be able to explore this piece to a degree that could not be covered in the video. Also, you'll be helping me keep making videos!
NOTE: in order to see the paper texture I have in my .blend file, please check out 2:22 - 3:53 of the above video. This video includes a download link for the paper texture I used and information on where to plug it into the file.
