Using "and" instead of "but" should be a thing more people do. It sounds like it embraces the whole picture and nuance. I really agree with Zannah too that there are learnable skills to lots of things, including filmmaking. One could say, you gotta create constantly even if you have a lot of "bad ideas" to start, to eventually get to creating better ideas. Eh? Eh? Hehe. Very thoughtful pillow talk. =)

Back in the music room of my old high school, there was a poster that read something like "Music is 1% talent, 99% hard work". I think it kind of sums up my thoughts on talent vs effort, and speaks to your inclination too!
