My big thing with depression is noticing the way that I perceive time is completely bonkers. It feels like everything slows down and that the depression will last FOREVER. So I've learned to think of it as weather - in the same way that if it is snowing, I might think, "it's been snowing a lot lately" or "It's been snowing for three months I'm sick of snow I'm ready for Spring" I also know that eventually the weather will change.
