SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED #62
Quick reminder that technically SE61 is the Simpson's Hit & Run video and that video is on production hold until I finish up this video, since this one will be a much faster turnaround. SE62 is the All Sleeping Partners speedrun of Fallout: New Vegas. I've been streaming world record attempts with this run, and just yesterday I hit my overall goal of getting the first sub-19 minute run! The run is really really solid. It's certainly beatable, and I'm likely going to be streaming runs of All Sleeping Partners for the rest of the month. This is for two reasons: I'd like to try and use this time to really push the run down, maybe even to 18:2x, but I'm also doing this run in a charity speedrun marathon at the end of this month (link to the schedule here https://horaro.org/speeddocsathon/sdat-2024-weekend-two ). As of right now, I have a little over half of the script written, and I'm in a really good place with it where I think I might be finishing up the first draft of the script later today. I'm really pleased with how the script is coming along, mainly due to how well this run lends itself to humor. I do think the explanations are going to be very fast paced with minimal pausing. Making this video over half a decade after I last covered this run has certainly felt like a throwback and it's been a treat to revisit it. I'm aiming to have the video completed by August 23, but don't be surprised if it ends up dropping on Patreon early in the final week of August.
I really don't have (m)any updates other than that! The past month has been insanely busy where I've only really been able to focus on the Cuphead video. The busy season of my summer has passed though, so I'm hoping August will be a return to form with being able to work on multiple things.
