Speedrun Explained 51, 52, 53: Update 1
🕑 Added 2023-04-19 13:52:15 +0000 UTCHey all!
In all the shuffle of moving around the schedule to bump up Hollow Knight and move back Control due to the tech discovery, I lost track of update numbers and what not so just starting fresh with what I'll call the first official update on the restarted progress of Control.
When production on Control All Bosses was delayed, I had about 1/3 of the script done (at around 6,500 words). Well a few weeks and an additional 11,000 words later, and the script was just finished yesterday with a final length of around 17,500 words. This will likely get parsed down in the edit to something like 16,000, but that's still on the lengthier end of my scripts. For reference, the final script for the Titanfall 2 video, which is one of my longest at ~75 minutes, was 16,300 words long. As of right now, I'm expecting the Control video to clock in at around 75-90 minutes when complete. Right now the runner is reviewing the script, with recording and editing beginning late this week or early next week. The video will likely be up for viewing on Patreon sometime in mid-May.
The other two videos in production right now are the Any% run of Super Mario Odyssey and the Any% run of Alien: Isolation. There's not much to talk about with these two runs other than the fact that the run has been recorded for SMO and we have a call scheduled to go over it at the end of next week, and that the runner for AI is beginning to record the run now. SMO should likely be out sometime between late June to mid-July, while AI will likely be mid to late August. So far away, sheesh!
Thank you all for being patient and I hope that you all have an above average day!
