And the winner is... (results of Patron's Choice 4!) (+ Speedrun Explained 49: Update 3; Speedrun Explained 50: Update 1)
🕑 Added 2023-01-24 15:17:19 +0000 UTCHey all! One week has passed since the poll started, but it's not time to reveal the winner of the fourth full-on Patron's Choice SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED poll! And the winner is...
Super Mario Odyssey - Any%!!!!
I'll be reaching out to a runner for the video sometime in the near future, maybe sometime in early to mid February. In the meantime, I'm working on the next two SPEEDRUN EXPLAINEDs. The first one is the Control All Bosses run that was voted on in the 325 Patron's Choice. This video is in the writing stages with the script being about a third of the way done. That video should be out by the end of February. The other video that is officially in production with a runner having been contacted is a Hollow Knight Any% (No Major Glitches) run! This video is still in the very early stages of development with the runner having been brought onboard but that's about it in terms of progress. Super excited to be finally covering this game though! This video will likely be out in either late March or sometime in April. This means that the current roadmap looks like this:
End of February - Control (All Bosses)
End of March/April - Holloy Knight (Any% - No Major Glitches)
May/June? - Super Mario Odyssey (Any%)
Dates on these are all tentative and very loose, meaning that there's chances things might change (for better or worse). I apologize for the fact that while SMO was just chosen, it won't be out until closer to the middle of the year! These videos just take a long time to make :)
That's all for this update though!! Hope you're all doing awesome and can't wait for you to see the next video.
