All the splendour and power begins with a simple worm munching on mulberry leaves. Things don’t turn out so well for the worm but those who farm it, weave it and dye it live in luxury. It’s never enough though, there’s always one who gets greedy and tries to smuggle the worms out. The painful demise of these entrepreneurs it proof of the Imperial intention not to share production.
