Just to keep you updated on episode 19 development. (Skip to the summary section if you don't want to read the spiel).
As of today, we finally finished updating ALL of the beach house images. As mentioned in a previous post, we weren't happy with some aspects of the beach-house art, so we wanted to re-do a chunk of the images. However, as we went through it, we realized that it didn't make sense to just upgrade some of the art (because there'd be a quality mis-match) so we ended up improving / re-doing every single image in the beach house scene ( > 220 images in this scene alone). All of our original images will eventually be available for anyone that gets access to the "cutting room floor" tier perk so you'll see we aren't bullshitting you about re-doing everything.
It obviously took quite a bit of time but we're really happy with how these new images have turned out.
So at the moment, ALL still images for Episode 19 are completed (>400 images).
The art priority for this week is the animations for the Beach house scene as we want to try to get a decent amount of anims in (Anims for the other scenes are already complete and just need to be rendered over the next couple of days).
Script-wise: Expecting to have a completed draft of the full episode this weekend.
I was aiming for an end-of month release but I think I'll have to push by a week to give us time to get a beta out for some testing / feedback (and complete our own run-throughs & variable checks) to ensure that the final version is up to scratch.

You have a valid point. Also 220 is significant but at my current count we are at 500ish images for this update so far, so not quite half. All I can say is it wasn't just a single obvious issue with the character in question. It was just a few little things at first, things we thought we could change by the next EP and we could just roll with it this EP, but the further we went, the more little things kept coming up. Not just appearance, but difficulty with posing and certain expressions. Then with textures/lighting at certain angles (sex scenes predominately are rendered last). Things we felt had to be changed and to maintain consistency rather than have such a change mid EP, we took the time to redo the images. Trust it wasn't something we wanted to do lol. We were also caught a bit off-guard given how well all our other changes went with the upgrades. But Daz3D is a fickle mistress. Hence why even though it probably is the main cause of the extra week while we test things we are going to provide the DL link this month and back fill it like we have done before.

I always understand wanting to produce the best possible quality, but a point of criticism here for me would be that something like this should be noticed sooner. Don't create all images for a scene and THEN notice you don't like them. I realize I'm making three comments today and all come off as somewhat negative, which is weird for a game I love and a dev team I think extremely highly of, but it does feel like a serious oversight if you have to remake 220 images (more than half of all images for the upcoming update if I understood that correctly) due to not liking how they turned out. Shouldn't this be noticed BEFORE all those images are rendered? So please don't take this the wrong way and feel free to correct me if my assumptions are wrong, but I do think being open and honest in criticizing is the best way to go about it. Never understood why some people feel that every word of criticism is an attack on the creators.
