Hey! I was considerably delayed in watching this reaction, due to a bunch of stuff going on in my life, and I certainly wasn't expecting that I'd see you readin my comment! 😀

This episode, especially the first half, labours not only under its internal set-up but also that it is itself set-up for future seasons. No wonder you were distracted at times. I was also distracted from the episode but for the good reason that I'm here to watch you, and that's always interesting - even when you're sorting out your nails. 🙂 Part of the set-up is the destruction of Angel Investigations' offices. This did fit the plot, but the real reason was that they found the set too cramped for filming. Like Buffy, season 1 is good but the (much better) best is yet to come, Starting, again like Buffy, with season 2. And don't worry, there'll be more characters you'll come to love - some you've seen already; some you haven't and possibly at least one that will surprise you!
