[0.3] Progress Update #05

New progress update, and everything’s going great!
The repeatable nighttime scenes I mentioned last time are now finished, which allowed me to move on to the next day of the story (Day 8). This day starts with a focus on Sélène, where you’ll finally get to spend some one-on-one time with her. No lewd content just yet though, you’ll have to be a little patient before you can win over the heart of your Keeper of Knowledge. 😊
This new day will also be the chance to introduce a new character: a merchant of magical items (especially potions) where you’ll be able to stock up for your adventures. While she won’t be a main character in the story, you’ll run into her again from time to time, and she’ll definitely have a few interesting scenes of her own. 😉
As for buying and selling with her (and possibly with other characters in the future), this will happen through a proper RPG-style interface window, instead of a basic Ren’Py choice menu, which is way too clunky. I just finished setting up this shop interface today, and I also took the opportunity to give the inventory window a much-needed visual overhaul. It was very barebones before and really deserved some love. 🛠️

Nouveau progress update, et tout va bien !
Les scènes nocturnes répétables dont je parlais la dernière fois sont terminées, ce qui m’a permis d’entamer la journée suivante de l’histoire (la huitième). Le début de cette journée mettra en avant Sélène, avec qui vous pourrez enfin passer un peu de temps en tête à tête. Pas encore de contenu lewd cependant : il faudra patienter un peu avant de pouvoir conquérir le cœur de votre gardienne du savoir. 😊
Ce début de journée sera aussi l’occasion d’introduire un nouveau personnage : une marchande d’objets magiques (et notamment de potions) chez qui vous pourrez vous approvisionner pour vos aventures. Même s’il ne s’agira pas d’un personnage principal de l’histoire, vous la reverrez à d’autres occasions et elle aura droit à quelques scènes intéressantes. 😉
Concernant les achats/ventes avec elle (et d’autres personnages à l’avenir si besoin), cela se fera via une véritable fenêtre d’interface de style RPG, et non pas à travers d'un simple menu de choix Ren’Py, trop basique et peu pratique. J’ai terminé la mise au point de cette fenêtre de commerce aujourd’hui, et j’en ai profité pour donner un petit lifting visuel à la fenêtre d’inventaire, qui était jusque-là très sommaire et avait bien besoin d’améliorations. 🛠️

Both. Some of these items will be usable in combat, like health and mana potions, but also some for reviving a comrade from a KO or antidotes; others will be useful during the story in certain scenes, and finally some will just be bait 😊

"where you’ll be able to stock up for your adventures." Hey AtemX, With 'adventures' you mean the battle mini-games, so we could use potions from inventory against enemies or on our teammates? Or those could be used during main game parts additionally/instead(For example using Invisibility position to sneak into somethere vs going in the open/battle or ask girls to distract the guard)?
