This story is going to span several years. Remember in chapter 2? I stated that winter won't come until the year 301. It's currently the tenth moon of the year 299 as of this chapter

Yeah, Jon will need a distraction and having his own warband is the perfect one. Also, he has no way of knowing that Bran died. The Wall blocks all magic from going either way

Aw and I was hoping John would get a dragon and blood Raven just casually tells Jon who his mother is you know he almost left the nights watch when he found out his brother Robb died. How is he gonna feel when he finds out Bran died
