Sydney trams, oops, sorry, light rail. The story of the removal of the largest tram network in the southern hemisphere and then the re=introduction of trams. The conspiracy theory is that trams lost out to American motor corporations lobbying for buses. Not sure. The heavy rail rip up to put in trams, breaks unions and allows multi storey development along the tram line. Win win for some. Sucked in to the suckers, like me, sitting in traffic created by this awesome display of town planning in action.
