Last year we looked into the death of science in Australia, and with billions of dollars being cut the future of innovation in this country was looking grim. One year later and surprise, surprise... Science is STILL dead in Australia, with more cuts to PHDs and research to boot.
On the election's eve what better reminder is there that we need to get rid of the Libs.

I am currently os whilst this debacle of an election unfolds. I am really tempted to hock my return ticket after what I have seen happen. Sad Bill resigned, nearly got into a fist fight in a bar arguing that this election was all about personality not policy. I weep for the future...Jordan
This one cuts hard, as the only way I could start my PhD (Digital Technologies and how they are used in the Digital Technologies Curriculum (answer: really poorly)) was by self-funding it. As scholarships and grants are dying except for areas with high resources investment and returns (mining, forestry, etc) which make life shit for those of us that want to better society through research.
