Public Release - Lust Quest: Flirting in the Fields

Here's also a general update on a lot of the game and things to look forward to, thanks for tuning in!
Why the change in art style?
Lust Quest started out as a passion project of mine, fusing a lot of different elements, like clicker, nsfw, party building, and Visual novel together. Back when I first started this I never expected it to be as enjoyed as it was by you all, so I did what I could with the style I had at hand, but as I worked on it more I found that it didn't have the level of polish I wanted.
In addition, the time between releases was getting larger and larger, from 4-8 months between a new release. I noticed this and didn't like leaving the patrons in the dust like that for large amounts of time in between. I also had major troubles with the dialogue system, it was cobbled together, used multiple spreadsheets, and ultimately was a larger pain to use than it was to rework from scratch.
So I took my previous experience, both artistically and programmatically, and decided to make it in this style. I have received just an overwhelmingly positive response from my patrons, discord members, and friends, so I decided to push forward with this idea and I think it's the most polished piece of work that I've created to date.
I saw patrons in the background of the game!
That's right! Each patron that replied recieved a small sprite of their character done in the style of the game, and each of those characters has a random chance of appearing in the background!!!
This is my little treat to the patrons and it's my hope that going forward I can try to include patrons in some of the minisodes through raffles or patreon tiers. Then they can have their moments to spotlight and even appear in the story!
Will there be more content in this style?
Yes! I'm planning on making more Lust Quest content using this style through a series of minisodes, small, bite sized chunks of content to be released once every 2-4 weeks. This will be done so that patrons have access to these updates one in advance. I'm hoping to get this started in mid to late December over on https://karmalegends.com/
My plan is to use these minisodes as a buffer between larger content updates, making content as I go to eventually have an asset library to build from and tell you a new story with!
What's this larger content update?!?!?!
I'm planning on making an adventure where you create your own custom avatar in the Lust Quest universe! This means you'll be able to go around, meet new and old kin from the minisodes, collect party members, and have a jovial time learning new lust combat techniques.
I'm currently in the planning stages for this project so I'm hesitant to give a timeline for it's eventual release, but It should be bigger than any of the previous games I've put out!
What about Clicker elements?
Clicker combat's taking the back burner for right now. Rather than produce many characters, each with different poses and expressions for the different stages in a Lusting battle, I'd like to focus instead on making boss fights that really hone in on specific characters, letting you get into lust combat with them at a higher level detail than before.
This is currently in the conceptual phases, but it's my hope that I'll finish this up and put it in one of the minisodes so it can eventually make it into the larger game!
What's this about a book?
Me and Malic are working on a book!! It's about Prota's adventure before the beginning of the events in the Lust Quest games. You'll meet a bunch of new characters, learn more about Lust Combat, and read about some lewd and saucy tangles in this new book!
It's in the editing phase with a planned release on mid to late December, it just depends on how publishing the book goes and if there are extra steps we missed.
Patrons are going to be getting early access to parts of the book before release whereas Agents will get to read it in progress when we get it back from the final proofreading pass.
What's this about a secret project?
I can't talk about one of them due to an NDA, but there is a separate side project that I've been hankering to work on. Ive been interested in card swiping mechanics so I'm thinking about prototyping a more brutal party collection game where you're trying to stop an apocalyptic event. It's in the super early pre-concept stages, but I just wanted to mention it in case some of you would be interested in seeing that project as it was in-progress.
