The Impossibility of Impossibilities, Part 18

Despite being given nothing to do, Christine never had a moment's peace. All her feelings began to melt together. Her rage at being betrayed yet again by the same 'friend' that she had chosen to magnanimously forgive. Her guilt for having helped such a contemptible person to reach a position of absolute power. Her disgust at Janet's cruelty and self-indulgence, and her sympathy for those who were now suffering as a result. Unable to act on any of these feelings, Christine simply sat, feeling sick inside and wondering what torments Janet still had in store for her and her friends.
Janet's appetite for extravagant displays of cruelty and dominance only seemed to grow stronger with time. The most obvious sign of this was when food began to appear. As Christine sat feeling miserable at Janet's feet, a bowl of steaming soup appeared beside her. Christine, who had been constantly suffering from hunger since Janet had acquired her powers, reached for the bowl without thinking. The bowl instantly shattered in her hands, spilling a bland but nourishing cabbage soup across the golden floor.
“Where the hell did that shit come from!” demanded Janet angrily. She was gesturing like a witch from an old supernatural soap opera. Christine looked at her with tired eyes and gestured that she still couldn't speak aloud. Janet rolled her eyes.
“Fine!” she pointed at Christine. “You can speak again. Tell me where that came from.”
Christine took a deep breath and attempted to speak, but still, no sound came out. She wondered if Janet was playing with her again.
“Just kidding, keep your damn mouth shut! Deedee, get over here and clean this up! Can someone here tell me why soup is showing up from nowhere?”
“It was a wish that Will made, dear.” explained Sonja. “I saw it on the news. This happens whenever people start getting hungry enough.” Janet's mother was clearly as tired and hungry as everyone else, but Janet showed no sign of sympathy, even for her.
“Well no more! You'll eat when I give you permission to eat. Anyone who eats without permission is getting punished like you wouldn't believe.” snarled Janet.
As one of the Deedees began silently sweeping up the broken shards of bowl, Christine frowned with thought. Unless she had misread that situation completely, Janet had failed. She had genuinely tried to give her back the ability to speak, but hadn't been able to. She had also clearly hoped that no one would notice. That meant that despite Will's loss of power, his wishes were still in force, and Janet's seemingly limitless powers were not able to countermand them. Christine wasn't sure what to do with this information, but if her long campaign of buttering up Will had taught her anything, it was that even being omnipotent was not a surefire defense. Janet was acting like she had already won, which might just make her complacent enough to defeat if an opportunity presented itself. Of course, now that Janet had annihilated all of the diapers except her own, there were no Obedience diapers that might be used against her. Besides, no one could disobey an order from Janet, which made any attempt at rebellion seem rather doomed. Still, there had to be some way...
Christine locked eyes with Deedee. Deedee's look of bored resignation faltered, just for a moment. Christine glanced away, hoping Janet hadn't noticed. She knew she had to be extremely cautious. Janet was a lot more cunning and less trusting than Will had been, and even high on the satisfaction of becoming all-powerful, she was no fool. Any suspicion that her reign was not completely secure might make her a lot more defensive, and that would be a disaster. Better to watch and wait for now.
Food continued to appear in response to the hunger of Janet's slaves, but as she had ordered, none of it was eaten. An apple here, a cucumber there, and more random bowls of nourishing broth were dutifully collected and cast from the windows. Christine wondered if Janet had actually tried to prevent the food from appearing, and suspected that she had.
Occasionally, Janet would become bored watching her army of slaves mill about performing pointless chores, and she would rise from her throne and wander her domain. Christine might have felt relieved, if not for the loud explosions and earthquakes that inevitably followed. Janet seemed to take no interest in creating anything, only in mindlessly destroying. On these occasions, Christine would try to catch some sleep. The chain that held her was too short to allow her to actually lie down, and Janet had decreed that only she herself could lift the chain from the hook, so she could only pass out while squatting on the floor. She also knew that if Janet returned and found her napping, she would almost certainly be punished. It was a miserable way to try to sleep, but Christine was exhausted. Everyone was, but unfortunately they could only become tired enough to feel awful, never enough to stop working. The shimmering golden throneroom might have actually looked beautiful had it not been for the tired, miserable eyes of everyone in it. Luckily, Janet was fond of making an entrance, so Christine was reasonably confident that she would hear her new mistress coming home.
For similar reasons, Christine could usually smell Janet coming as well. Christine herself had done most of the work turning Janet into a diaper girl when she had created the alternate set of memories for her and her family, but even so, Janet's love of repeatedly pooping herself and being changed seemed more than a little extreme. Christine didn't know that one of the wishes Will had made when he had created Willtopia was that everyone within its borders developed diaper fetishes quickly and easily, a fact that only made everyone miserable now that diapers were being denied to them. She only knew that watching the bizarre ritual being performed over and over was driving her insane. Janet's mother and sister were now the leaders of a diaper-changing crew with over thirty members, each of which had a role to play in delicately wiping, oiling, powdering, and kissing Janet's ass dozens of times each day. Christine might have felt jealous of the treatment, but the looks of terror and exhaustion on the faces of the women as they carried out the procedure ruined even the idea of it for her. She wondered how long this hell could last, and knew that it might easily last forever, and even grow worse, if no one found a way to stop it.
One evening, three days after Janet's sudden rise to power, she ordered an enormous ice-cream sundae to be prepared for her. She could have created one with an idle thought, but seemed to prefer making the kitchen staff prepare it for her. Christine watched with little interest as the huge thing was carried into the throneroom by a team of eight Deedees and set before Janet in a huge golden bowl. Janet smirked and rubbed her hands together as the team of identical women bowed and departed.
“Looks pretty good, doesn't it Chrissie?” asked Janet with a smirk. Christine despised being called Chrissie, and unfortunately Janet knew this.
Christine knew better than to try and ignore her new mistress. Still unable to speak, she nodded her head in agreement. It was easily enough ice cream to feed everyone in the room, and was lusciously decorated with fruit, chocolate fudge, whipped cream, and nuts, so of course Christine would have loved even a single spoonful of the massive treat. Of course, Christine had been continuously hungry for days, so she would have felt the same way about a raw potato.
Janet grabbed the golden spoon from the side of the enormous dish, scooped up a dollop of ice cream, and thrust it in Christine's direction. “Here! You can have the first bite! Open wide, Chrissie!”
Christine's mouth opened of its own accord open at her mistress' words. She knew there was no point in trying to resist. Everyone understood by now that Janet's whim was unbreakable law, and Christine knew this better than anyone.
“Here comes the airplane! Brrrrr, whiiiirrr!” said Janet, giggling at her own joke. Awkward, forced laughter erupted from the crowd, who were all under strict orders to laugh at Janet's jokes. Christine sighed inwardly. There was nothing to be done but wait until it was over. As she had expected, the cold treat hovered around her mouth for the better part of a minute, then suddenly whipped around deposited itself in Janet's mouth.
“Awww, it looks like they had to return due to poor weather conditions. Oh well!” chuckled Janet, leaning back in her golden throne. “Eh, seems like too much work to eat all that. Chrissie! Grab a spoon and feed your goddess! I think I'll grab a quick nap!”
Once Janet's eyes were safely closed, Christine rolled her own and got to work shoveling delicious ice cream into Janet's waiting mouth. She didn't even bother to ask how Janet expected to be able to eat so much. The rule of the day was that if Janet wanted it, it happened. Christine wanted desperately to steal some of the delicious dessert, but it was impossible now without Janet's permission. Nearby, Sonja, Ashley, and the rest of the diaper-changing detail began morosely laying out supplies for yet another inevitable loaded diaper.
Although it took over an hour, and much of the dessert was melted by the time she had finished, Christine finally set the golden spoon down in the cavernous depths of the empty bowl with a light tingling sound. Her arms were both sore from the repetitive motion. She resumed her place beside the throne, wondering what fresh torments Janet would have in store when she woke up. She rested her face in her hands and hoped against hope for a few minute's sleep.
After a few moments, she heard a sharp metallic click. She glanced up to see what was happening. Above her, she saw Deedee (one of her, anyway), holding a heavy-duty set of bolt-cutters. She realized with a start that Deedee had just severed the chain holding her to the golden throne.
Her eyes went wide, and she jumped up from the shimmering golden floor, gesturing furiously at the bikini-clad woman. Deedee pressed a finger to her lips (needlessly, since Christine was still unable to speak). Two more Deedees grabbed Christine by the arms and began pulling her out of the throneroom, past the amazed crowd of busy slaves. Sophie watched as her former maid dragged her daughter away, but was too busy scrubbing the floor for the hundredth time that day to intervene. As she was dragged out of the throneroom, Christine glanced back toward the throne, seeing that Janet was fast asleep with her thumb in her mouth, her stomach distended from the impossibly huge dessert she had just been fed.
The two Deedees escorted Christine down long golden corridors and past many more bikini-wearing slaves, including several more instances of Deedee. Everyone was too busy working to question them. Since the building had been expanded to ten times its original size, it took a ridiculously long time to get anywhere inside it. Christine's mind was struggling to piece together what was happening. No one had shown even the slightest ability to resist Janet's will even for a second, but now Deedee was seemingly going behind her back. Was this all just another cruel tease, to give her false hope just to laugh in her face?
Finally, they reached their destination: Christine's Nursery. It was largely unchanged, since Janet had never bothered to visit it since gaining her powers.
“Okay, I've managed to buy us a little bit of time, but we only have one shot at this.” said Deedee in a fierce whisper. Christine frowned at her former maid's voice. She sounded more like Margaret than Deedee. Christine shrugged her shoulders and held out her empty palms, demanding an explanation.
“Okay, here's the deal.” said the other Deedee. “Remember when Will wished that I would be free to do whatever I want? Well, when Janet took over, all Will's wishes remained in place, including that one. I'm the one person on earth who can act independent of her orders. If she knew, she would just lock me up or destroy me somehow, but right now, we might have an opportunity to stop her. After eating all that ice cream, she'll be far too docile to give us any trouble, but we still need to act fast.”
Christine's eyes widened. It was Margaret! She was in control of all the Deedee's through the mental link that Will had created for her, and Will had wished for her to be free of mental influence. After all, the source of all Janet's new powers was just another wish, so why should one wish automatically defeat another?
The two identical Deedees smiled. “Are you starting to get it? Janet can do a lot of things now, but she still has limits. Will didn't give her powers that exceed his own. Now, I found this in your toybox.”
One of the Deedees opened Christine's toybox and withdrew the tiny model of a school that Will had given her as a present. The sign reading “Christine's Humiliation School” was easily visible.
“This is where she said she sent Will, and it has your name on it. Do you know what this is?” asked one of the Deedees.
Christine nodded slowly. She felt her heart begin to beat faster.
“Do you know how to get there?” asked the other Deedee. Christine thought about it, then nodded again.
“We have to find Will. There's no other way to fix this.” said the first Deedee.
Christine hung her head. This plan had sounded reasonable for a little while, but the fact was that Will no longer had any powers. He had wished to give that power up, if involuntarily. Plus, he was still wearing an irremovable “Obedience to Janet” diaper. Even if she could go in there and find him, what good would that do?
Deedee seemed to follow her expression. “Yes, I know that Will wished to lose his powers, but the fact remains that all his wishes are still in force, and the only person who knows all the wishes he's made is him. I'll keep Janet down and out as long as possible. When I made that ice cream, I added all the leftover “Stupid”, “Silly”, and “Lazy” ba-bas from Will's party to it, so it should be a little while before she's coherent enough to notice that you're gone. I know we're grasping at straws here, but this could be the only chance we have left. Find Will, and see if he can think of any way we can counter Janet for good. Here, this might come in handy.”
Deedee handed Christine a baby bottle full of pink liquid, labeled 'Cute'. Janet took the bottle, which thanks to another of Will's wishes, felt as heavy as a sack of concrete.
Christine was not hopeful, but this was the closest thing she had to a chance now. Her heart was racing, but her expression hardened. She took the tiny model school from Deedee's hands, wincing a little at its weight. She patted Deedee on the shoulder in gratitude, then closed her eyes. Will had given her power over this place and the women in it, and he had said that she could visit whenever she wanted, so if his wishes were still in place, she should be able to go there if she focused on it.

I noticed that you took the time to address my question of why Janet still had a diaper fetish after getting free from Will. Thanks for that. It does make perfect sense that the false memories Christine gave Janet would still be affecting. Christine should probably make sure to remove everything Will did to her mind, but I have a feeling she’ll forget. After all, I don’t think you are going to pass up the opportunity to have Christine indulge in some ABDL shenanigans once she gets Will’s powers.

Ok, this one was really impressive. I’m actually excited about what will happen in the next chapter. After what happened in the last one, I assumed it was gonna be revealed to be a fake out. I had thought that you had written yourself into a corner but now I am pleasantly surprised that you went with it. The best part is there was no retconning: It makes perfect sense that none of Will’s wishes would be undone and the magic baby bottles make for a great Chekhov’s Gun. Once again, you’ve managed to make this a great chapter even if it has very little ABDL content. I still don’t enjoy this series as much as I do Archway or even Diaper Elves but I do find it much more interesting now that it’s not just constant humiliation. Don’t get me wrong, I know that fetish stories will always have plots that are just meant to provide context for the erotic stuff but it’s still nice to see someone like you who puts actual effort into this. You could put out a story with no ABDL content and I would still read it. Back to this story and my predictions/hopes for the next chapter: Christine is probably going to have a hard time resisting the temptation to humiliate all of her former bullies given all the fetishes Will gave her and that they now see her as too cute to disobey. I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing her force them into cutesy personas similar to Princess Boom-Boom from Archway or Alice from Diaper Elves but I have to admit she has reason to do that and every reason to just head straight to Will and finally bring this all to an end. Speaking of which if you think that that would be too easy I suppose it would make sense for Janet to have set traps to keep Will from getting out, although she seems too arrogant for that. Lastly, I’m really hoping that this signals a permanent change in the status quo. It would be very disappointing to just see Will take back control. If it was me I would have it play out like this: Christine finds some way to convince one of her former bullies to tell Will to wish that Christine could speak again. Christine then has Will wish for Janet to become powerless and then for ALL of his power to transfer to Christine including the ability to undue wishes. With Christine now a goddess she gets to work undoing the damage that Will and Janet caused and giving both of them an appropriate (and adorable) punishment, with the story ending there. Of course of you don’t want this story to end just yet I am curious to see where you take it regardless. One last thing: I know I have asked this before but just in case you forgot, I would really appreciate if you would hit the like button on any of my comments that you found helpful. I noticed that you didn’t do that on the last story’s comments and I just wanted to make sure you are actually reading these. Thanks for the great chapter and have a good day.
